TheDoctorsTV and Green: Healthy Greens and Medical Problems with a Green Tinge

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and the Greening of the Irish, the doctors shared some ‘green’ things in medicine today.

Most of the green things were gross, like baby poop and infections. But finally John Tesh came to talk about healthy green foods like avocado and kale.

Parsley does more than freshen breath and cleanse the palate. It helps to provide the nutrients that build blood. The green seaweeds are also incredibly useful in building the blood and strengthening the body with minerals as well as chlorophyll. Greens like collards, kale, and chard offer us their nutrients, one of which is calcium.

Avocados were once thought to contain too many lipids (fats) to be healthy, but that error has been corrected. Avocados and nuts have healthy lipids as do oils like olive oil and grapeseed oil. Excess heat alters the oils and so the method of food preparation is important.

Kiwi was the last of the green foods mentioned by John Tesh who is looking as good as ever. I would say that the combination of healthy foods and good music keeps a fellow healthier than a person who eats processed foods and listens to politicians talking like mean green machines.

Dr. Jim knows that the inclusion of food rich in vitamin C help in the absorption of iron from food or supplements. It’s a healthy Lifestyle with an orchestra of whole foods, not isolated vitamins or minerals that make a difference in your health.

But I was surprised to hear Dr. Travis Stork suggest that we put spirulina in our beer to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! I would tell you to never use green food coloring, but spirulina is certainly going to work in this unusual application. You may avoid a wild hangover, too.

I would recommend Vital 18 for getting spirulina into your system. The green is hidden amidst the chocolate brown that is sweet and delicious. Don’t discount other green foods like edamame, cucumbers, and green peppers. You can get the harmonics of ‘green’ with sound when you sing or listen to frequencies designed for healing. Last, but not least, you can wear green clothing to resonate with the vibratory rates of color and gain some healthy benefits.
