Who Lived to Be 114?
A Japanese woman died today…she had lived to be 114 years old and had the title of the oldest certified person alive at this time.
She attributed her long life to eating well and getting plenty of sleep. She did not die of any disease, only of old age.
Japanese women have the distinction of living the longest with an average of 85 years. Whereas Japanese men are the second longest living men in the world with a median age of 78 – only outlived by Iceland’s men at 79 years of age.
Most of these oldies are asked what they eat. They seem to feel that they eat well. Some say they eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, while others eat meat and vegetables. They ALL eat well.
The Hunzas made their claim to fame with a specific diet and other cultures have the same uniqueness of special foods and beverages that are often regional…like kefir or seaweed or ginseng.
There are many theories about the reasons for Longevity. It always begins and ends with good food!
