TheDoctorsTV with Jillian and Wendy: The Season Premieres with Two New Panelists
They preempted this premiere episode yesterday for the US Open Finals, but today the doctors welcomed Wendy and Jillian to join the panel.
Jillian was emotionally committed to helping release the guilt, blame, and sadness of the mom whose child was diagnosed with a genetic disease. The interlude with her husband, the mother, and Dr. Oz was intense. Clearly, the mother felt responsible for passing on the genes to her son which resulted in this rare disease and a lot of suffering.
TheDoctorsTV: Premiers Episode Welcomes Wendy and Jillian
The strange thing was that the mother had a feeling after watching a previous episode of the show that her son suffered from that disease, even though her doctors had not arrived at that diagnosis until she persisted in finding a name to what her son was going through. At least she finally could put a name to what was troubling her son as he lost his faculties.
The mother from the previous show consoled her, too. She explained that they were using an experimental drug for research which showed promise for their child. I do hope that the family does not give up. There is some relevance to knowing one’s genetic history to determine the risk to future children when considering starting a family.
Wendy joined the panel to contribute to the Body/Mind Connection. This will provide the panel of experts with a greater reach into the mysteries of disease and healing. Let’s hope that she can contribute something useful to the audience from her perspective.
Dr Drew still got his cosmetic surgery in with a segment on filling out the cheeks with a calcium product for added volume which looked like it was more painful for Jillian to watch the procedure being done than it was for the woman undergoing the injection by needle! Jillian could barely watch without wincing… It is good to see that she is a little sensitive.
Did you notice that Dr. Lisa changed her hairstyle? She walked women through a few methods for alleviating painful periods, but she needs to learn more about massage, Essential Oils, herbal formulations, and nutritional supplements that are more effective. And then there was the really BIG News: Dr. Travis and Dr. Jim are both engaged to their significant others! Hawaii must have enchanted them…
OK…my greatest concern for Jillian joining the panel was that her vicious personality which badgers people and borders on emotional abuse might be injurious to the show. Today her compassion presented a different side of her personality and I do wish that we see more of that instead! That is healing, soothing, and remarkable!
