TheDoctorsTV and Threading Hair Removal, the Decision to Circumcize, and the Health of Your Eyes
Dr. Drew had the Threading Hair Removal procedure demonstrated on his hand and it looked relatively painless, yet effective. This is a new method of removing body hair to me, so I have no personal experience with this technique. However, from listening to the expert describe the process, it appears to be quick, painless, and effective for certain types of body hair. If you decide to try this method, would you let me know what your experience is…live and learn!
I am not one for shaving or regular hair removal. After traveling to Europe when I was thirteen, it occurred to me that a good portion of the world’s population allows their body hair to grow on their legs and arms without any problem whatsoever. Take heed…
The decision to circumcize your newborn son is much the same, because it is a cultural and personal choice. I chose not to perform this procedure on my son. I believe that was a sound decision. There are those who will tell you it is done for hygiene, but it is a fact that you can be perfectly healthy without a circumcision. Just ask my son and his father and millions of other men around the world. I have often spoken out against the mutilation of both girls and boys for decades. It’s an unnecessary practice which can scar the child’s psyche as well as their physical bodies.
I liked the discussion between Dr. Lisa and Dr. Jim about the pediatrician’s care of those parent’s children who choose to have the procedure done.
Dr. Oz discussed the aging of the eyes. He suggested that you couldn’t reverse the damage and degree of loss of visual acuity, but I have seen it happen. He did mention that the whole foods with orange pigments like squash, pumpkin, and other vegetables are thought to promote the health of the eyes. For years, we have read that the herbalists will recommend bilberry for strengthening the vision. We have seen MSM and ionic silver, copper, and zinc improve the vision. The best thing that you can do for your eyes is to drink Chrysanthemum Tea sweetened with stevia.
