TheDoctorsTV and the Nap Pod: Color Therapy and Sacred Space
The episode of TheDoctorsTV featured Dr. Lisa reclining in a work of art that also works for taking a nap or finding some sacred space with the capacity for alternating vivid colors to suit your mood.
Dr. Lisa and the physicians discussed the power of a nap. So many stressed workers fall asleep at work and can’t keep their eyes open while at the office that it has become a concern for the health of the business.
It’s a good idea to take a nap, if you find your mind wandering, can’t focus on the task at hand, or you get so tired that you fall into a deep sleep at your desk right in the middle of some project.
Power Naps have long been utilized to refresh, reorganize, and replenish the office employee, the boss, and the weary traveler on a business trip. It can make a remarkable difference in just fifteen minutes. Five or ten will even suffice in most instances!
That Nap Pod is truly a work of art. It resembles an egg and you feel safe and cozy inside. You can adjust the colors that reflect from the walls and color therapy can be beneficial for both calming or energizing a person.
Play with the colors to find one or more that suit your mood. Blue is calming, red is stimulating, and orange might make you hungry. If you dare to use pink, do so for only a short period of time. While it soothes the savage beast when exposed for a little while; it will agitate and aggravate a person who gets too much pink light.
We often use color therapy in combination with music or sound therapy to achieve a health goal or change the mindset of an individual. It works beautifully.
