TheDoctorsTV and Holiday Health Issues, Food Fixes for Flab, and Great Gear for the Winter Chills
Friday was a good day to watch TheDoctorsTV show to get ideas for staying healthy during the Christmas and New Year Holiday Season.
Tis the Season for staying warm with Winter weatherproof gear, cooking the best food you ever tasted in order to indulge without the bulge, and ways to avoid feeling miserable from common mistakes that people make every year.
I loved the segment on Winter Clothing and Gear that will keep your body warm and cozy when you go outside in the elements. I grew up in Wyoming and Colorado where we could easily have temperatures below zero on any given Winter Day. Winter lasted from September until June in the mountains, so we HAD to learn how to dress for success! The doctors live in more moderate climates, but they did a good job of showing off some great winterproof items.
My favorite was the Columbia Peruvian Hat that is both colorful and designed to keep your ears warm. You can enter the Drawing to win one of these hats on TheDoctorsTV website. I entered!

Besides the Peruvian Hat, the Vitamix 5200 Blender is a great tool to use in the kitchen to make foods to fix the flab of holiday eating, drinking, and slurping. You should enter the Drawing for this fantastic Blender, too, while you are there! The other goodies are fine, but the Blender, the Hat, and the Cookware are the perfect healthy gifts for you this Season!
The cookware that the doctors were attempting to use is also offered to people who enter to win a set online. Dr. Lisa is not a cook…obvious from the way she made the effort to flip the crabcake patties. Dr. Travis laughed when he reacted to her lack of skill with the spatula…he would starve should he depend upon her to provide his sustenance! At least the audience was introduced to the tofu noodles which are so much better than the wheat white flour variety in many dishes. The chocolate-dipped strawberries made my mouth water…
During the Holidays, you need to keep plenty of healthy snacks around the house for people to nibble on when gathering with family, friends, and business associates. Nuts, seeds, organic treats, and chocolates are ideal for this purpose. You’ll be less tempted to eat the processed crap that is prevalent during this time of the year. You can drink lots of Peppermint Tea to help you digest any cheese, junk food, or holiday dish that is loaded with fat, calories, salt, or sugar.
You should keep some Chai on hand to serve as a good and spicy beverage in addition to Hot Apple Cider when you are entertaining or sharing meals with your family. If you sip water with fresh organic lemon juice and blue agave syrup or stevia to sweeten it, it will keep the flab from forming. When you drink any alcohol, choose organic red wine and slow down after the first bottle! You can take some extra B complex vitamins and vitamin C to help you metabolize the excess alcohol and refined carbs when you do overindulge.
Just skip the Cookies and Milk and give Santa and his helpers really healthy snacks. Soymilk, ricemilk, coconut milk, almond milk, Chai, Herb Teas, organic Coffee, Brain Toniq, and fruit Smoothies fit the flab-fighting bill for beverages during the Holidays. Santa wouldn’t have to be tortured by Jillian, if he only nibbled on healthy snacks from Love Street Living Foods and the Raw Food World. We gave you these links a few days ago, so you’ll find them in previous posts. Give yourself the Gift of Health this year, next year, and for the rest of your Life!
