TheDoctorsTV and Health in the Headlines: What Is First and Foremost on People’s Minds?
The doctors start many shows with Health News in the Headlines to alert you to what’s on people’s minds and what’s hot!
Just in case you don’t watch much TV or read News Reports about Health and Medicine; you can get the latest scoop during these segments. The doctors enjoy weighing in on the hot topics of the day!
Dr. Travis particularly likes to talk about sex and relationships. Today was no exception as the Stork said what was on his mind about hormones and being stimulated by a new partner. He also described the difference between the initial rush of a new encounter and the merits of falling in love by getting to know a person.
Dr. Lisa is on the fence about women finding the ‘man of their dreams’. She doesn’t think that the reality lives up to the hype. Too bad… If you doubt that you will find the ‘love of your life’; then you will often have to settle for less – it’s an attitude of expectation that creates your experience. Your belief system will either bring you the ideal partner or it will bring you whomever you envision and expect in accordance with your personality. Be good to yourself and choose true love…
There was a fellow who was interviewed that said something that seemed unfortunate, inferring that ‘good enough’ was better than holding out for your ideal and never finding her. Imagine that relationship? Would you really want to have this guy as your significant other? No…
There are physiological changes in your endocrine system and your brain when you fall in love. Your body releases a hormone and it makes your body respond favorably. It is far more sophisticated than ‘choreplay’ and artificial measures to initiate passion or sex… It’s part of a healthy Lifestyle when you fall in love for Life with a partner who is a great match for you in the course of your daily Life. Joy, fulfillment, satisfaction, and companionship help you to maintain your health and well-being.
The male breastfeeding and paternity leave segment was silly to the point of ridiculous, but the point of having a father take an active role in the care and nurturing of their newborn infant is a sound idea. The moment-to-moment care of an infant is more than just changing diapers, feedings, and clothing the child. When you hold your newborn, talk and sing to your newborn, massage your newborn, and all of the other care that goes into every minute that parents spend with the new addition to their family is going to shape and form that child for a lifetime. Parenting is a privilege… Give all of yourself to the journey of giving Life to another human being!
I didn’t much care for the segment about cucumber dieting or breast augmentation. The new methods for making busts bigger is less invasive, but still an elective surgical procedure that just doesn’t meet with my approval. It’s more about how you move your body in time and space, than it is about the size of your body parts when you are genuinely interested in true intimacy with a deep and loving relationship which is so much more than casual sex. Large, moderately-sized, small, or virtually non-existent breasts don’t really matter when it comes to long-term healthy relationships…at least to those with depth.
The best segment of today’s show was about the Healthy Home. The Redbook editor-in-chief gave some excellent suggestions for you to take to heart and implement. Many of the ways to create a healthy environment inside the Home have been discussed on this Blog and we continue to give you ideas about how to find great products which contribute to a safe and healthy place to live.
Natural and organic cleaning products, personal grooming products, children’s items, and even the materials that are on your floors, walls, and countertops all matter when it comes to your health. You can use common sense when it comes to selecting products and items that have no chemicals or toxic materials. NONE of the toxic products belong in your house, especially when there are so many natural choices on the market these days. There are people who will come to your Home and help you sort out your situation, if you are confused or uncertain. Just keep reading our Blog and get fantastic ideas for your healthy Home right here!
Lastly, the issue of healthy food and the cost is always in the Headlines making the News. Even Dr. Oz had his audience members looking for good deals and low prices for certain items on his show today! But remember, you get what you pay for…just because it is the lowest price, it doesn’t guarantee quality. If you go for the highest quality of ingredients and raw materials in any whole food, nutritional supplement, or health product; in the long run it will be well worth the cost to go for the best. The foods and health products at Love Street Living Foods are a perfect example of this concept. Shop here instead of shopping at questionable stores or discount stores that may offer old inventory, inferior quality, or even mis-labeled products!
