TheDoctorsTV and Gender Differences with the Slant on Healthy Lifestyles
I know that the doctors love to discuss the male and female differences when it comes to making their show more interesting and occasionally they pit the genders against one another to get a few laughs.
There are differences between the female and the male bodies that correlate to your health and fitness. Dr. Travis used sponges to demonstrate the muscular variation between males and females. While any woman can build muscles to compete with the most muscular of men, it doesn’t help when it comes to fatty metabolism and a healthy pregnancy. Female bodies conserve energy through the layers of healthy fat they carry on their bodies. This is a healthy aspect of being able to carry a baby to term and deliver a strong child after nine months of ideal development. You never want to compromise either the infant’s health nor the well-being of the pregnant mom-to-be. As long as you eat a nutritious whole food diet while pregnant, you won’t keep the weight on following birth. Your skin will maintain its elasticity and your body won’t require the full two years of restoration that is commonly needed to replenish the female body following pregnancy.
The endocrine system varies between the sexes almost as much as it varies between individuals. However, both male and female individuals must support their endocrine system throughout their entire Lifetime to remain strong, healthy, and filled with vitality. Women often experience the imbalances earlier than most men, but that is changing as synthetic hormones are leached into our municipal water supplies and begin to effect young boys and men sooner than usual. It’s important to drink purified water…not from the tap. It’s equally important not to eat foods that have been processed with raw materials that include synthetic hormones or chemicals like stockyard-raised cattle, pigs, and chicken among others. Eggs and dairy products are also suspect… If you purchase from people who use sustainable agricultural practices; then you will be in a better position to maintain the health of your endocrine system without intervention.
Both men and women are commonly deficient in energy and their blood is also easily compromised through their Lifestyle choices. If you read my posts on this Blog regularly, you will learn how to avoid the dangers through wise and intelligent choices…
All bodies, regardless of gender, require minerals and vitamins, protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats to maintain the desirable level of wellness. Your whole food choices truly matter. You can supplement your healthy diet with nutritional supplements and herbs, but don’t skimp on the whole foods…that is your foundation.
This pink and blue thing needs to end. Pink will calm the person for half an hour and then aggravate the person when they are exposed to the color pink for too long. Blue is calming and it is the color in the spectrum that is often missing when a person spends most of their time indoors. We all require full spectrum lighting and time in the sun.
