Sit Down to a Feast: Meat That’s Fit to Eat!
There was a time when I refused to eat red meat, because of the way the cattle were being mistreated in the feedlot and how lax the standards for slaughter had become…risking one’s health to consume an adulterated food product! I promised my healthy body that I would only put wild game and properly raised and prepared food in this sacred vessel from now on!
Eventually, after all these years of attending Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Feasts with my organic natural vegetarian fare…I found people who have made a business of producing quality beef products the old-fashioned healthy way, so I have a choice without compromising my standards.
Many people choose to be vegan and vegetarian for humane reasons, whereas my personal choice is based upon health for both human and animal. There are many issues to discuss which will wait for another day. For those of us who choose to eat meat, it comes down to the health of the animal and the procedures that the rancher follows to keep our beautiful animals in excellent condition.
I hunt and I garden and most of the food and beverages I consume are selected for “Sustainability” for both myself and our planetary Well-Being. I have been trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine in the fashion of learning that beef replenishes the energetic balance of the heart and small intestine meridian energy flows of “chi”. Yet I do not plunk down a 2 pound slab of meat on my plate with little else…instead I have a moderate portion of beef with salad greens, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, beans, seeds, fruits, and herbs/spices. My Food Plan is diverse and balanced.
There are a multitude of reasons that give you the green light to eat this beef from Montana Legend. One experience of this authentic flavor of the way beef is supposed to taste and you will savor the Meal, becoming a regular customer!
