Salsa Satisfies the Warm Feeling You Want…
When you are looking for some snack to give you that nice warm feeling deep inside, you can often choose Salsa to warm you up. It’s more than just a tangent for heat that burns your tastebuds…it’s the “inner fire” that you are trying to rebuild when you want a hotter food.
You will often find that you have an intuitive sense for the types of food that your body needs to bring you closer to a state of Balance. Some people will mistake this intuition for a craving. You can look at this way, but if you feel better after consuming certain foods; then it is quite likely that it is an effort to subconsciously regain Balance and Homeostasis.
If you’ve eaten a lot of foods during the summer months that are cooling in nature; then you may have put out the “inner fire” by over-eating foods like iceberg lettuce, fruits, and even some herbs like spearmint. Your metabolic pace relies on this “inner fire” to keep the body’s functions performing like a well-tooled machine.
When you exercise too frequently, you expend a lot of energy. When you engage in sex too often, you expend a lot of energy. When you get too little sleep and over-indulge, the body uses its reserves to compensate. There are many ways that you deplete the body’s energy reserves. Even being pregnant uses a great deal of energy that needs to be replenished following the delivery of your child.
Fortunately, there are many foods and herbs that restore this “Chi”! Replacing your body’s spent energy supplies is known as “Regeneration”. Regeneration is a long-term process that is most definitely a worthy pursuit! It not only gives you more years in your Life, but it gives you more Life in your years. Regeneration makes you feel young and vibrantly alive.
Salsa is just one food that is warming and nourishes the energy of the body at a deeper level. Other spices and herbs like cayenne also contribute to this warmth. It is not correlated with body temperature, although you may sweat a little with too much chipotle in your Salsa! You don’t need to build a blazing fire to warm the body…a gentle flame will work just fine.
Salsa will warm you gently while satisfying your taste with flavor and texture. There are many varieties to choose from, and the mild to moderately spicy ones are ideal at this time of year.
