The discussion on Dr. Oz started out in a positive manner, but then it continued to degrade as Lisa Lynn made some poor suggestions for Metabolic Boosters that defeat the purpose of changing a person’s habits to embrace a healthy Lifestyle.
It’s crazy what fitness trainers and medical doctors think and do to get their patients and clients to lose weight. It’s so much more intelligent to work with people to learn how to live for daily well-being. Tricks and gimmicks with supplements by the truckloads are just irresponsible and short-sighted. It’s bad advice to point people in the direction of taking five Boosters…
Dr. Oz said that he felt confident about these recommendations, but I do not share his enthusiasm. He doesn’t have a way to accurately evaluate the interaction and the action of nutritional supplements and fitness products that primarily focus upon a minor area of a healthy life.
Body builders, weight lifters, and people who exercise as if they forgot to go into the garden and actually accomplish something when they expended energy have missed the mark by taking a handful of isolated nutrients, amino acids, and powders to do the work of whole foods and well-formulated supplements. I hope that you think twice before you follow the advice given on Doctor Oz today!
Lisa Lynn and Doctor Oz talked about exercise as punishment and the reverse of what motivates many individuals who are in the habit of going through the motions in the gym or working out to burn calories from poor food choices. This is faulty thinking. The tree is not the forest… Exercise is designed to tone the body, not to be the solution for eating too much or eating the wrong foods. It’s time to break the cycle!
If you were to power your house or office by cycling on a stationary bike to produce electricity, then that’s a different matter. If you were to grow a garden to produce food to eat while you labored following a healthy meal or in anticipation of a good dinner; then that would make sense. If you were to take a walk to go get your produce at the Food Coop where you volunteered for three hours to earn a discount and help build a sense of community; then that would be a practical way of burning some calories while doing something useful and purposeful. But alas, the idea is lost on these fitness trainers and people obsessed with their routines at the gym.
How many times do I have to tell you not to take amino acid supplements with one or two isolated aminos? Just refuse to do that stupid stunt… Your body needs a balance of all essential amino acids to be healthy and function normally. When you take too much L-Carnitine, you screw up that balance. You can all of that amino acid from your whole food balanced diet instead. Don’t throw your body further out of balance by that irresponsible advice. If you insist on getting your amino acids from a nutritional supplement, then at least take the Vital 18.
To prove my point, I will give you a discount on a six pack of Vital 18 when you order it from us. Leave a comment if you want to experience Vital 18 that has all eighteen amino acids in balanced proportions and tastes great!
OK…let’s talk White Kidney Bean powder. What?!? First of all, there is a difference between white beans which are referred to as canoli beans and kidney beans. So which beans is that powder coming from? Why use a powder when you can eat the beans and get all of the fiber, more nutrients, and the satisfaction of enjoying chewing delicious food? Go for the real beans and forget the powder that blocks the enzyme action of any starch. Blocking enzymes from functioning is an idiotic choice. Only doctors and fitness trainers would make that foolish mistake!
Your enzymes are exceedingly important and necessary and the last thing you would ever want to do is to block that normal process, especially when all it takes is a little discipline of selecting the proper foods to eat in the first place. If you can develop the skills of discipline and conscious planning; then you are not going to cheat by eating the wrong things and then trying to compensate by using White Bean powder. Nope, don’t do it, just find healthy snacks and take the time to prepare your beans and whole grains for real meals instead of looking for ridiculous shortcuts offered by doctors and fitness flakes.
Eat your whole raspberries instead of resorting to raspberry ketone supplement! Raspberries, strawberries, marion berries, blueberries, and other berries are much better for you and they taste so good, too. Just be sure to eat organic berries. Fresh are better than frozen, but when berries are not in season; then frozen organic berries are suitable and much preferred to isolated ketones in a supplement. Berries are meant to be eaten whole and not divided into individual components. Don’t listen to doctors who use isolates in drugs as a matter of course when they don’t understand the importance of all of the co-factors that are found in whole foods!
VitalChoice carries frozen organic raspberries and other organic fruits and nuts…and CHOCOLATE in addition to sustainably-harvested seafood!
Kojnac Root Powder is next on our List. If you just take this powder for getting more fiber; then that is somewhat reasonable. However, I hope that you don’t use this powder in place of getting soluble fiber from a whole foods plant-based diet. That would defeat the purpose of trying to improve your health… Don’t make the mistake of substituting a supplement for fiber from plants and whole foods. There are plenty of root vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, and greens that will supply you with nutrients and fiber and flavor. Stop relying upon supplements when you can get what you need from whole foods in your meals and snacks.
It is my understanding that glucomannan is derived from Kojnak Powder and I have tested products that contain glucomannan. It might absorb water, but it is not going to get a ‘thumbs-up’ from me as a weight management product. Sorry, it didn’t test well at all. It might make you feel full, but what does that really do to your mindset? You are trying to fool your body and your own innate intelligence when you are supposed to be honoring your body to return to a state of perpetual Balance, instead of trickery. Shame on Lisa Lynn and Doctor Oz and those who perpetuate the myth of glucomannan. If that’s the main component of the Miracle Noodles, then avoid them like the plague…
Now, if you can find some real Kojnac Root and send it to me, I will test it and prepare a noodle from the root and give you my personal feedback. Deal? But whatever you decide to do, if you do get the Shirataki Noodles, don’t eat them plain or alone. Combine them with vegetable, broth, and something alive and green!
I have not tried the Miracle Noodles, but I have a friend who markets them and is still overweight after eating them for months. So I cannot speak directly about these specific noodles. I can recommend soba noodles and brown rice noodles and mung bean noodles. If you are going to eat noodles, then make a vegetable broth and include veggies, miso, and spices like ginger root along with something green and fresh like parsley or cilantro or scallions. Tofu goes well with noodle dishes. Do not combine fruit with noodle dishes, ignoring the advice of Dr. Oz and Lisa Lynn when they said that all five Metabolic Boosters can be done simultaneously…bunk!
