Dr. Oz and Antioxidants: Free Radicals Don’t Have a Chance with These Foods and Supplements

Doctor Oz discussed antioxidants again today and shared several foods and food combinations that will stop free radicals in their tracks and put an end to DNA damage from environmental pollutants, toxins, and chemicals that people are exposed to daily.

Many people have no idea what foods contain antioxidants and what free radicals are in the first place. Suffice it to say that in our industrialized society, we are subjected to toxic substances and need to protect our cells and DNA from serious damage. It’s not a choice, it’s a necessity.

I’ve always liked SOD the best and still do to this day, but it’s expensive. You can consume any of the whole foods that Dr. Oz pointed out and be in fairly good shape as long as you watch your Lifestyle choices along the way.

Dark leafy greens, vibrant fruits and vegetables, cruciferous veggies, and specific herbs and spices contain antioxidants. You can get several servings a day from the different groups and feel more confident that you are protecting your DNA.

Carrots, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, avocado, and so many other foods are going to give you the nutrients needed to prevent damage and keep your cells healthy.

They are sharing several ways to reduce your girth by inches and do it with exercise, healthy foods, and movement.

Cat Cora is one of my favorite chefs on the Food Network. Listen to what she is telling you about ideas for food to fix the fat dilemma.

Grape Seed Extract has been used for decades and it’s fine that the experts are continuing to recommend it. While I don’t suggest that you take a handful of supplements everyday, you might want to take them occasionally with careful selection of the ones that best suit your needs.

Pectin might be worth your time to consider taking, but remember that eating fresh organic fruit that contains pectin is superior to any supplement and a lot more fun to eat. Irish Moss is an ingredient in many supplements and I have never eaten any in the raw form, so I cannot comment about that. I would have any supplements tested with EAV equipment before taking any of them…any at all.

The non-invasive methods for dealing with fat cells with technology is smart and better than what people have used before the development of this equipment. Check it out…

This new laser tech guarantees three inches at the very least. Who knows, except for these experts who have used it and their patients, how well it might work for you. Dr. Oz Discusses When Sex Kills: Strutting for Safe Sex, Eating After Sex, and Helping the Heart Heat Up for the Big O

I was surprised by the title of this episode of the Doctor Oz show today: “When Sex Kills”.

Dr. Oz is such a proponent of having sex virtually every day when he discusses this topic on past shows, but today he talked about the dangers of death when sex takes the last pleasure from your throbbing body under certain circumstances.

First, he and his two female experts detailed the health risks that both men and women face when they have underlying heart problems, circulatory problems, stress, and emotional imbalances that are exacerbated during sexual activity. One expert said that sex was an ‘equal opportunity killer’. What a label to put on sex!

She meant to say that people from every walk of life are at risk when they have sex, regardless of gender, ethnic origin, or age. But that’s a broad statement that needs further qualification. Suffice it to say that doctors have taken a new low road to put fear into the audience about a beautiful act expressing love and have turned into a sporting event.

Sex, in and of itself, is not exercise, nor is it to be viewed as a sporting event. This is what the media wants to brand sexual expression in our culture with to sell the sizzle while leaving the meat out of the equation. Healthy sexual activity and intimacy in a loving relationship is a wonderful and health-enhancing aspect of a healthy Lifestyle.

The experts did discuss the risk factors that are actually the real reason for many deaths while engaged in sex. If you stress your heart which is already pressured to perform under extreme conditions in an unhealthy body, then who would be surprised that you would push your heart over the edge during sex with increased blood flow, circulation, and stimulation of the whole body which the heart has to support in the throes of passion. If you are overweight, under conditioned with laziness, and have no energy for normal functioning of your body; then you put yourself in harm’s way when you jump into the sack for an exciting few minutes of acrobatics.

It’s better to start taking short walks with your beloved to build up your endurance by strutting down the sidewalk in Nature to improve your metabolic functioning and ability to stimulate your body’s ability to be responsive without collapse during sex. You don’t have to prove your prowess by putting yourself at risk when you can regain your regal stature with gentle methods of strengthening your body. It’s better to look deep into your partner’s eyes and love them without physical exertion than it is to die in their arms trying to show off beyond your capacity for creating passion.

It’s more than cholesterol, it’s more than heart problems, it’s more than elevated blood pressure when it comes to risk factors that prohibit sex without compromise. The human body becomes deficient when you don’t take good care of it with whole foods, herbs, and loving care every day. You have to regenerate those deficiencies before restoring your youthful sexual behavior. Your life and the quality of Life depends upon this: taking the road to Wellness day by day with a healthy Lifestyle.

Smoking is one of the things that Dr. Oz talked about as a risk factor. I thought it was short-sighted of the doctor and his expert to suggest that one should not smoke two hours before engaging in sex. You’ve got to be kidding! It’s a habit. While we see cultural examples of people smoking after sex, it’s simply time to quit this unhealthy habitual behavior altogether unless you smoke organic tobacco in a pipe. The only thing that should be smoking is that fire in the fireplace that sets the romantic mood for lovers. Smoking reduces oxygenation in the blood and that presents a number of health problems, including the challenge of sexual performance when your body is oxygen-starved and deprived of energy.

The Big O is not the only goal of intimacy, but it is the natural outcome of a loving expression between partners who care enough about one another to take good care of the way they show their feelings by tempering the tantric sexual encounter to balanced displays of affection. You can heat up your head and body without compromising your health, if you will only take the time to become knowledgeable about the wise ways of the ancients who excelled in this through moving the energy of the body from the First Seal to the Fourth.

Dr. Oz Reveals What the Drug Companies Fear About Their Pharmaceuticals

Dr. Oz finally pulled back the curtain that has been hiding what the drug companies have been doing for decades to fool the patients and the doctors into trusting and relying upon their pharmaceuticals.

The studies and the warnings are not always fully disclosed nor reviewed adequately, but that information is not desirable for the drug company’s bottom line. They exist to make money. They make big money. Often their profit is at your expense…quite literally…both monetary and the health risks that the patient is subjected to with every tablet, every pill, every injection, and every application of hundreds of drugs.

Now the pharmaceutical companies are marketing directly to consumers on national TV, magazine, radio, and online media. It’s unethical to say the least. It’s irresponsible at best. People are succumbing to misleading information in a commercial designed to sell, rather than professionally and medically treat a patient. You become the living guinea pig and your well-being is rarely the primary thing on the mind of drug company executives or marketing people.

Look people…long ago I used to do a LOT of testing of drugs when people would bring them into the Office. I quickly ascertained that there are NO safe drugs. They all throw the various organs and systems of the human body out of balance. Most of the time they might help the targeted organ or system a little, but not enough to warrant the side effects to the rest of the body. I could easily and safely find dozens of nutritional supplements or whole foods that could do more and not risk the health of the individual.

I quit testing drugs and I would never allow a drug to be delivered into my body. No…never.

You need to hear and read more about what Doctor Oz exposes about the drug companies on his show today. He talks about prescribing drugs that are not needed. He talks about drug interactions. He spills the beans on the problems associated with the pharmaceutical industry that can impact you every day. You need to be informed.

This is a huge can of worms! As Dr. Oz indicated, the drug companies are targeting the treatment of the symptoms, instead of the cause of a disease or health issue. Many doctors cannot even keep up on the nature of newer drugs. Sure, they may have a copy of the PDR for reference, but what about all of those samples that the sales reps deliver to clinical practices to introduce physicians to new drugs? How much time do doctors spend educating themselves on drugs after medical school? It varies doctor by doctor…

You are ultimately the one who is responsible for what you put into your body or let someone else introduce into your system. You should be better educated about any drug that you use and conduct your own Due Diligence before subjecting your body to any substance. The drug company is not going to babysit you while you take their drugs. You are only a statistic to them while they see you as their ‘bread and butter’. It’s an ugly and often an unethical business without adequate regulatory control. They need to police themselves better.

Dr. Oz stated that if you are not going to study the drug that you are taking, then choose a Lifestyle change. I just heard him say this. It’s the smart way to approach this topic and the only method that ensures that you are conscious and aware of the choices you are making when it comes to the quality of health care that you accept for yourself.

Dr. Oz and the Secret Weapons for Cellulite: Seeking a Sleek Body with Natural Means

Dr. Oz wanted to spill the beans about his secret weapons for fighting cellulite on today’s show. He put the fear of false cures into his audience while the expert and the doctor warned people about the snake oil and the products that are on the market as ways to fix the dimpled skin on the thighs and other areas of people who know nothing about a healthy Lifestyle.

The audience was all to eager to dismiss the massage therapeutic concepts. But the expert declared those to work fairly well when applied regularly for a long period of time. People were surprised, but therapists have done good work for decades for those who know the value of Massage Therapy. Now there are many gadgets and gizmos that people can use for self-manipulation. You can do it yourself, but you will get better results in the hands of an expert therapist.

Dr. Oz went on to talk about creams and coffee grounds among other things. He poked fun at some of the infomercials and marketing strategies by rubbing coffee grounds on his hands. I think he missed the point… The expert seemed to know her topic and correctly identified that some products work while others are less effective, yet those who persist with regular and continued treatments are the ones which meet with success. She also described the foods and healthy Lifestyle choices that will help people reduce the cellulite.

I liked the example of the panties with elastic constricting the tissues around and under the underwear. The Soma panties are a good model for solutions from this cause. The Kelp is excellent, but don’t discount the other seaweeds that are equally well-suited to help your body get the nutrients and co-factors that will make your body healthier. Yes, you need to change sweeteners and salt, but then that goes for everything related to a healthier Lifestyle.

The foods were key to not only battling cellulite, but keeping it from accumulating in the first place. If you eat properly from the time you are a child, you won’t have to deal with cellulite. If you change your diet as an adult, then you can eventually change the dimples into smooth and sleek skin and tissue that is healthy once again.

By the way, you should not be looking for a cure, but rather for a healthy Lifestyle. Also, one other thing to draw your attention to about today’s show. What’s with the game show mentality of asking about ‘popular’ drugs? Doctors should not be writing questions about drugs that have celebrity status as if it’s about popularity! It’s more about marketing among sales people who are trying to make a drug the drug of choice for any condition…that it is the first thing that a physician thinks about when prescribing a pharmaceutical for a diagnosed condition. The frequency of prescribing a drug is NOT the same as being a ‘popular’ drug. Drugs should never be given celebrity status…

Remember in your quest for good health that when you eat a whole foods plant-based diet without processed foods and embrace other healthy Lifestyle behaviors; then you won’t have to contend with the ravages of cellulite and other unpopular conditions.

Dr. Oz and Bad Botox: No Shortcuts to Reversing the Aging Process Without Risks to Your Health

If you have been wondering if all Botox is created equal; then you would be in for a surprise to watch the experts on Doctor Oz discuss the health risks of street Botox.

Yes, so many people have resorted to getting a quick fix for wrinkles, lines showing aging, and signs of getting older on their faces using Botox to remedy their looks that business is booming. So this gives rise to scam artists, bogus Botox, and cheap imitations that can quite literally kill you.

Some people described their experience of nearly dying following injections of bad Botox. They rushed to the ER and saved their lives…luckily.

There are even Botox parties, Botox stores on the beach, and unqualified people who are tripping people up with false claims and dangerous procedures.

It’s nonsense!

The whole Botox thing needs to be re-evaluated. I think it is foolish for any one to be allowed to introduce a neurotoxin into the human body. There are no successful shortcuts to reversing the aging process by using Botox.

You don’t need Botox. You have so many healthy alternatives that will give you much better results. These tried and true methods won’t even cost you a tenth of what it costs to keep injecting Botox into your face! Let’s get ‘real’!

I’m glad that Dr. Oz brought this to the attention of the American public and I hope that the medical boards of every state and agency review their policies. No one should have access to or have their health put into jeopardy with bad Botox…or even the best Botox for that matter!

Dr. Oz and Rachael Ray: Healthy Meals on a Budget with Beans, Greens, and Smart Shopping

Rachael Ray joined Dr. Oz on his show today and shared some of her best recipes and ideas for shopping and preparing healthy meals on a budget.

Dr. Oz seemed happy to announce that it doesn’t cost THAT much to eat healthy food. Rachael described some of her show’s guests who specialize in shopping with coupons and those who take advantage of loss leaders in their grocery stores. Shopping is the new science for homemakers…

How do you afford what is healthy? Think and act. Don’t settle for buying processed foods. Did you see how easy that pasta dish with KALE was to make? Kale is not a superfood, but it is a great Green that supplies minerals, including calcium and chlorophyll to build your blood. But it would be my recommendation to swap the pasta for whole grains. Organic brown rice, millet, barley, quinoa, amaranth, and even whole oat groats make a wonderful base for kale, vegetables, and other ingredients that will cost you less than $5.00 to feed five people.

Rachel is still getting a lot of mileage from that recipe for penne with the vodka in the sauce! It seems to me that a marriage based upon one dish is not going to make a union solid, but that’s my opinion. A long-lasting healthy relationship is built upon more solid ground than a pasta dinner! But it does impress the man who doesn’t cook and is looking for a wife who can serve something tasty. There’s a place for that reasoning…

Dr. Oz and Rachel Ray’s Vodka Penne Recipe Replacement Ideas

Rachel and Dr. Oz are newbies to the healthy food scene. When Dr. Oz asked Rachel what to do about the ‘gas’ from the beans, she basically responded by saying just to go ahead and fart. Does anyone on their staff know about kombu?

When you soak your beans and rinse them before you cook them, that makes a difference. Then as they come to a boil, you add a slice or two of kombu to the pot of beans and let the kombu work the magic of alchemy that results in less flatulence and better digestion. KOMBU – it’s a seaweed. It comes dried. It will rehydrate in the pot or you can let it soak in water before you add it to the beans or any other dish that you are preparing. It’s not expensive and it actually adds a lot of flavor to the beans, whole grains, or vegetable dish.

You’ll save money in the long run as prices on food continue to increase with the economic issues this nation is facing…
