You can travel around the world with Dr. Oz who appeared on Good Morning America this morning to share what he found on his recent trip to several countries. He brought back some healthy foods with some healthy ideas for you.
Now…we’re going to share a way to find Superfoods and nutritional supplements from around the world that Dr. Oz has yet to discover. He doesn’t know about half of these, but we think that you will appreciate learning about them and being able to get them delivered to your door long before Dr. Oz finds the time to travel to other continents and more countries to bring you excellent ideas for your health:
First, Doctor Oz traveled to his ancestral home in Turkey where he found purslane and hazelnuts to be his picks for best greens and best nuts for your health, especially for inflammation and arthritic pain.
Then he moved on to China where he learned a little Tai Chi to move the energy surrounding his physical body in the morning, instead of grabbing a cup of coffee on the ‘go’ to get off to a good start for the day. His form needs a lot of practice to improve to the point where he is truly able to move his ‘chi’, but he is making an effort.
Next he went down under to Australia and learned about the health benefits of playing the Didgeridoo. The muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the mouth, throat, and neck are strengthened and help to breathe normally while sleeping.
He learned about noni or morinda which is typically combined with other herbs, roots, and parts of healing plants and substances that have been used for thousands of years to keep people strong without cardiac surgeons. He could find this in many places in the East and even in Hawaii. He must have also eaten some of the pineapple while in the Island paradise, because he indicated that there is an enzyme in the tropical fruit that also helps with joint pain, but tastes much better than noni.
The thing that Dr. Oz didn’t bring back with him…was an understanding that we never use these foods, herbs, or practices as isolated events in our healthy Lifestyles. We learn to integrate all of these things into our Lifestyles with Balance, moderation, variety, and find the harmony each moment in the dynamic play of Life.
Dr. Oz could travel for years and never discover all of the healthy foods and herbs and healthy practices that thousands of cultures use to stay well, but he is on ‘the path’ now. His willingness to share what he is learning is admirable.

Here we go again… The good Doctor Oz thinks that he and his staff really know what they are talking about when it comes to some holistic health ideas that are so common and beneficial that it is too simplistic for the complexities of research to comprehend!
It’s a dog-gone dirty shame…
He’s no expert on this stuff and it’s painfully clear today when he displayed his ignorance on the “Fact or Fiction” segment.
For instance, he asked the two contestants whether or not it was fiction or fact that Lemon was useful for a sore throat when added to tea. They thought it was and they are correct. But Dr. Oz told them it was fiction! Nasty… He then went on to say that honey is the way to go. Did it ever occur to the doctor that honey and Lemon juice can be combined to make a natural beverage better which has been known to have soothed sore throats for centuries? No, it didn’t – he’s clueless and oblivious!
The perfect combination is to take honey, lemon juice freshly-squeezed, ginger root freshly grated, and make a hot tea that is sipped gradually until the sore throat is better. We have been using this concoction for decades and know others who have put it to good use for thousands of years; so who does he think he is to call it fictitious? I am completely disappointed in Dr. Oz today.
The best two methods for dealing with the causes of a sore throat when it is due to a pathogen is to use a blend of pure water and GSE concentrate or some Honey Loquat Syrup until there are no symptoms to notice.
Next…the dizzy doctor claimed that it was fiction that Chia Seeds could be helpful in your efforts to lose weight. Well, I have news for you. He’s wrong again. Although one study he cited didn’t conclude that Chia Seeds were an effective choice for dropping a few pounds; there are plenty of people who have shaped their bodies and become much healthier through the addition of Chia Seeds and meal in their diets.
Chia Seeds are little jewels and they provide so many nutrients and healthy co-factors that you can’t help but get support for reaching your ideal weight whether you need to lose a few pounds or gain some to be truly healthy and strong. No one in their right mind is going to rely upon any one single substance to reach their ideal weight and body proportion, but Chia Seeds are an integral part of a healthy Lifestyle that will lead to appropriate weight management.
Anyone, even a doctor, who gives this concept a little thought and consideration would conclude that when a person undertakes changes like adding Chia Seeds and other healthy whole foods to their daily diets, their bodies are going to change over time for the better. I have seen it more times than I can count…
Then here we go again with the ruse of Dr. Oz and his extensive knowledge base. He is under the impression that even one study is the ‘be all and end all’ of whether something is a fact or a fiction. He has no understanding of Quantum Physics and the role of the Observer in creating Reality. Of, course, most people defer to social consciousness and ’cause and effect’, instead of taking full responsibility for their personal experiences of the world.
If you knew how to FOCUS as the Observer, you could use Chia Seeds or Lemon or even WATER to alter any physical reality with Thought, imaging, and the process of transformation that is a true spiritual science. If Dr. Oz is looking for facts, then this is one of the bold truths that is proven over and over and over again through the Ages…
Dr. Oz has been watching too many commercials for Chia Seeds with his sing-song ch-ch-chia alliteration today. Has he ever sprouted Chia Seeds or any other seeds for that matter? He did mention that Chia Seeds are rich in EFAs and anyone who has read any of the scientific literature out of Germany about EFAs from Flaxseed or other seeds…would know that healthy fats and oils contribute to weight management along with many other healthy aspects for human beings. He misses more than he hits with his information in these matters!
At least he got one out of three right today. It is also a common experience for people to use Garlic to address any infectious agent, including fungal infections on the feet. But anyone who knows what he is talking about on this topic would have told the audience that it is essential to ingest Garlic to support and nourish the Immune System from within the body to effectively eliminate the fungus. It is invasive and often beneath the nailbed. Many times it is insufficient for Garlic or anything else to be used only topically to completely take care of fungal infections without their recurrence.

Johnson and Johnson, the makers of Tylenol, have given new dosage recommendations to the public for their Extra Strength Tylenol pain reliever medication this week.
J & J Cuts Maximum Tylenol Dose article
The company recommends that the maximum dosage be reduced from eight to six pills per day which amounts to 3,000 milligrams.
This change is intended to prevent overdoses and lessen the incidence of liver failure or damage. The real issue is that acetaminophen is found in thousands of medications for everything from sore throats to headaches. It’s easy to miss the hidden amounts of the drug that enters the system when a person is taking multiple prescriptions or over-the-counter products for some condition that is not being totally monitored by a physician.
Even people who have prescriptions can overdose, so the system needs an overhaul to protect the unsuspecting patient who doesn’t understand the label or ingredients being prescribed for chronic pain. Accidental overdoses are far too common with emergency rooms seeing 56,000 visits and hundreds of deaths each year.
The manufacturers are also facing problems from the Recalls of Tylenol and other non-prescription drugs since 2009 which affect supply and demand. Quality Control is the big issue and the public outcry has brought about regulatory intervention to correct the problems with odors, metal shaving, and inaccurate ingredient levels in the inferior products made by specific factories.
The labels will be changed on Tylenol to reflect the new dosage recommendations.
The real health challenge is the treatment for chronic pain. Too few physicians try to get at the root cause and choose instead to pursue a regimen of drugs to relieve the pain or manage the pain. The pain doesn’t go away. The body just doesn’t register the pain. It’s managed by cloaking it.

Today is National Cheesecake Day and many people are celebrating it by eating a slice or two of the delectable dessert.
We’ve made hundreds of cheesecakes the traditional way over the years, but our favorite is still our famous Tofu Cheesecake.
It’s smooth, it’s healthy, and it’s so delicious that you would never know there’s tofu in the recipe unless I told you or you asked about the ingredients.
The great thing about tofu is that it can take on any flavor that you pair with it. The chocolate or the lemon or the almond or the berries that you love in your cheesecake are only enhanced by the addition of tofu in the classic recipes.
There’s one new craze in the world of cheesecakes that I find fascinating. The lollipops with a ball of cheesecake on the end of the stick are quite a good idea. Only Dr. Jim and Dr. Travis out of the panel of five physicians on TheDoctorsTV show seemed to understand the way the human body responds to refined sugar.
Dr. Jim was monitoring their Twitter account and fielded a question from a mom about whether or not her children were actually experiencing a ‘high’ from the refined sugar they were getting in the foods and drinks in their diet.

Dr. Jim did a decent job of explaining the ‘rush’ of the adrenal glands and the body’s attempt to metabolize the refined carbohydrates of simple sugars like the ones you will find in processed foods and commercial beverages that have been sweetened with white sugar. Then there’s the ‘crash’ after the ‘rush’ or ‘high’. That’s the moment when a lot of people eat more lousy stuff with even more sugar in it to try to feel better. It’s my ardent wish that no one does this to the children. It’s a repetitious cycle. It is horrible for the human body!
That’s why they call it the Sugar Blues!
If any of you young ones remember reading that book which describes the roller coaster nature that happens when you eat anything or drink anything with white sugar in it; then you will know what I am talking about.
If you missed that book, then it must have skipped a couple of generations and should be read again by everyone now to remind them why they should NEVER eat or drink anything with refined white sugar or high-fructose corn syrup or any artificial sweetener like Splenda or Equal either. It’s a good history lesson worth repeating…
The replacement is to consume carbohydrates that are slowly metabolized by the body. This supplies an even and balanced resource for energy throughout the day. You don’t get so hungry, nor do you have some weird cravings or any desire to cheat by devouring candy, soda pop, or unhealthy snacks. Beans, whole grains, and root vegetables are good examples of the foods that you want to eat along with honey, maple syrup, blue agave syrup, molasses, brown rice syrup, and date sugar for sweetening any food or beverage.
I could hardly believe my eyes this week as I watched Splenda roll out a new commercial on TV. They have now stooped so low as to be crafty enough to put fiber, B vitamins, and other nutrients in with their artificial sugar substitute! What a load of BULL… If I could go into every restaurant and every home and pour some contaminated liquid all over the Splenda packs and loose granules, I would!
When I was working at Shambhalla, I would stand at the condiment table and rip open the little packets of Splenda and spill them over the table to make a point until the kitchen staff researched it and removed them and quit ordering the poison. I will never apologize for my opinion, because I have evaluated Splenda with my equipment and you should see how it weakens the brain and the entire nervous system as well as every organ and system in the body of those I tested. You are a FOOL to ingest Splenda.
It’s no wonder that people are obese, developing diabetes in record numbers, full of cancer, aging rapidly, losing their minds, and weaker than in any other time in recent history. The health of a nation has been placed at risk with refined sugars and artificial sweeteners. You are the only one who can change that! You have to consume healthy sweeteners and healthy foods. Then you won’t find yourselves on the white sugar or Splenda roller coaster that wrecks your health and leaves you spinning your wheels…

If you want to know whether that bump on your body is a pimple or a boil, the clues to determine the difference are discussed by the doctors. If you want to get rid of that bra bulge on your back, then you can learn how to get fitted for the right bra size and find out about a company which makes a new style of bra to smooth out the shape of your back.
The B Salon demonstrated the use of sliced tomato to help the surface of your skin. Tea and aloe were blended to make a concoction for improving your appearance. My favorite segment of the day was the new improvements in baby seats for your vehicle by Dr. Jim. They have come a long way, since I used one in my ’66 Rambler half a century ago! The experts have determined that a parent or caretaker should keep the child in a car seat facing backwards for a lot longer to protect the head, neck, and internal organs when in an accident. Some of the designs of the new car seats actually impressed me today.
I have a few “B” health ideas of my own to share with you. You can enhance your happiness quotient with the ‘Bliss’ mindset. When you feel gratitude for everything, everyone, every event, and every moment of your Life; you will be able to experience true Bliss and Joy.
“Beans”, beans, the magical food; the more you eat, the more you toot and get the fiber that makes your digestive system function properly. You can soak beans in pure water overnight and rinse them thoroughly before cooking them in new water the next day to prevent the tooting. It also helps to add a slice of Kombu to your beans to add flavor and nutrients for improved digestion and taste.
“Beautiful Sunsets and Sunrises” when viewed outside alone or with a companion will bring you peace and an appreciation for the natural world. You can begin or end the day with less Stress and more ‘beauty’. It takes only a few minutes to witness the incredible colors of the sunrise or the fading of the light of day at sunset! We used to make it a family event by driving to the mountains to share the experience together and then enjoy a great meal. It builds intimacy and strong relationships.

Montel Williams appeared to promote the medical use of marijuana for the relief of pain due to medically-diagnosed diseases on the Dr. Oz show which was repeated today.
Montel speaks clearly and with authority about the results he has experienced himself for chronic pain that disabled him. He is now a productive member of society with his pain management derived not from strong drugs which did not work for him, but rather his careful use of medical marijuana.
The debate was emotional on the show and it got heated at times, but that is the typical reaction for millions of people on either side of the argument for the legalization of medical marijuana.
You have to know that you could spend billions of dollars doing more research and never run out of anomalies, differences in populations, and a variety of reactions. No person is the same and so there is no legitimate reason to use to justify further research. The best way to proceed is to allow licensed physicians or specialists to monitor patients as they use marijuana to control their pain. It’s an individualized thing and always will be…
Tobacco and alcohol are more addictive than marijuana and they have been legalized largely due to the public outcry of centuries past and the bootleg history that is quite colorful. There is a revenue base with these controlled substances which contributes to education, treatment costs, and other benefits to the public and the person. The same could hold true for marijuana.
The legalization will not lead to unleashing crazies or zombies as many fear. We have artificial sugar substitutes like Splenda, morphine typically prescribed by doctors for cancer patients, and prions in commercial beef leading to Mad Cow’s Disease for that… The concept of ‘Reefer Madness’ is outdated and far from the truth of the matter. There are plenty of highly-functioning individuals who regularly use marijuana who can attest to that. They go to work, they pay their mortgages, they go about their lives as any other normal person does and they get high at times… Deal with it, critics!
While I prefer that people use other natural and organic products and herbs to manage their pain as well as finding lasting solutions to reversing any disease or causal agent for the pain; there are times when pain seeks relief before doing anything else. Pain is pain is pain is pain and cannot be ignored! No other human being should be allowed to intervene in a sovereign individual’s choice to exercise one’s freedom to alleviate one’s pain. Period!

The crime and drug-related deaths will most likely be reduced when this happens in a community or a state near you. The safeguards can be utilized to prevent abuse or misuse for the most part. The alternative is happening whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not, and whether it is ever legalized or not.
There is a show on public service channels on TV about the “Science of Cannabis” which helps to educate the public about these issues. When you watch it with eyes and heart wide open, you will find that you will not want to keep anyone in pain away from a solution that works for them. It does work. The general public would not deny anyone the right to resolve their pain and become a contributing member of society in the process.
The munchies, the mental bliss or blitz of being high, the death of brain cells, or the challenges of taxation, growing, and regulating a new industry might be worthy of further consideration and discussion. However, it’s valid to begin with allowing medical marijuana to be used with care until all the rest can be worked out to everyone’s satisfaction.

PLOP – PLOP – FIZZ – FIZZ…Oh, what a relief it is to have alternatives to soda pop!
Dr. Oz described the addiction which plagues many people who are drinking dozens of soda pops every day. This episode on Dr. Oz today was one hour that you cannot afford to miss. Dr. Oz invited experts in Preventative Medicine to speak about the value of making healthy Lifestyle changes which can prevent disease and degeneration in the human body.
It was pointed out that drugs cannot do what healthy choices can do when it comes to the percentages of reducing the incidence or risk for a degenerative disease like Heart Disease, Diabetes, or cancer. No…this raises the odds of living longer with a greater Quality of Life by as much as 50% to 80% in their estimates. I would go all the way up to 100%.
During the hour the experts talked about the key Lifestyle choices that really make a difference in your health. Diet, Sleep, Exercise, Smoking, and other factors enter into the picture.
The Doctor Oz TV Show and Preventative Power Pack Information
First, the five colors of your fruits and vegetables do matter. Red, purple, yellow, orange, green, and white (which the experts forgot to mention) are all much more important than the brown of burgers, hamburger patties, and fries.
When you eat sweet potatoes, you can apparently reduce your incidence of cancer. When you drink ‘brain cubes’ which are frozen smoothies made from blueberries, bananas, apples, flaxseed oil, and hemp nuts and allowed to melt into liquid form while you are on your way to work. It’s much better to take two minutes to take fresh fruit and use that blender on your kitchen counter top to make your fresh Brain Smoothie. We recommend that you get the Versativa Hemp product to eat and nibble upon which is going to give you far more nutrition than hemp nuts alone.
The best flaxseed oil is Barleans and the best flaxseed meal is from ANA. You cannot just throw some raw flaxseed into the blender for a minute in ‘mix’ and expect the seed to be masticated sufficiently. You can make salad dressings with flaxseed oil. While these ‘brain cubes’ are a cute idea for saving you some time in the morning, the Brain Toniq ‘Think Drink’ will keep your brain functioning at its peak and it only takes ten seconds to open a can of BT!

Now…the good doctor told his audience to drink coffee without cream or sugar and to get up to 4 ounces of vinegar in their daily diet to prevent Diabetes. The quality of the coffee is relevant in this equation. Free Trade Organic Coffee is much better than ground beans that have been sitting on the grocery store shelf for a year and in a warehouse for who knows how long before that… Balsamic vinegar, rice wine vinegar, red wine vinegar, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, malt vinegar…the list goes on and on. We prefer Balsamic and apple cider vinegar to the others. A salad dressing with balsamic, olive oil, mustard, sea salt, oregano, cilantro, freshly-ground black pepper, and garlic is our favorite way to dress a salad of fresh organic greens.
Next the herb grinder was shown as a tool, but what a huge waste of time and herbs that thingy is… You waste too much in that contraption and the herbs will oxidize more rapidly than when you take a nice sharp knife to chop your herbs. You can also tear the leaves of basil and other leafy greens to prevent bruising them. Doctors are not experts in the kitchen! It shows in this segment.
I did like the cleaning putty for computers, cell phones, doorknobs, and other surfaces. I hadn’t seen that before. And when Dr. Oz tells you that it’s OK to use dried herbs to replace fresh herbs, he is yet again mistaken. There are very few dried herbs that provide as much nutrient value and Life Force when compared to their fresh counterparts. I am telling you to go with fresh herbs and spices with few exceptions.
There are hundreds of other healthy Lifestyle changes and choices that you can avail yourself of to prevent disease and extend your Life, but we will take on these topics one by one as they are raised by physicians who are just entering the field of Longevity and Wellness. Live and learn…
