The Doctors on Color for Your Health and Myths From Your Relatives

November 10th, 2011

The Dr. Oz show tried to dispel some common myths or beliefs that are traditionally passed on from grandparent to parent to child through a family.

Your relatives may have told you things that are true and then again, some of their beliefs are inaccurate. Dr. Oz did his best to put some science behind the belief systems.

Dr. Oz and Common Myths

While Dr. Oz provided a lot of useful information, he has to realize that some of these beliefs really are situational and dependent upon the individual’s personal health status. There are not always ‘cut and dried’ rules with many of these things. For instance, fresh produce and frozen or canned products are better? Some doctors think that it is only a matter of nutrient levels and dismiss the essential value of ‘Life Force’ energy that is in fresh foods, but dissipates in frozen and canned foods over time.

At least the Dr. Travis intuitively knows that he tastes the difference in freshly-juiced oranges when compared to frozen orange juice concentrate! Would someone ask Dr. Travis to share this with Dr. Oz? But someone needs to inform the doctors that frozen blueberries won’t have the same impact on a person’s health as fresh organic blueberries.

Then the Doctors on TheDoctorsTV show managed to fill the full hour with information about the ways the color of things affect your health. They also pulled from common beliefs and stories that have been passed down from generation to generation.

TheDoctorsTV and Color

In addition to addressing the orange of orange juice, the physicians gave examples from the various colors of the visible light spectrum. You can read all 50 of their ‘color’ health tips on their website.

I found that the mention of green seaweed being good for you to eat was refreshing as was the discussion about the best wild salmon being pink whereas farmed salmon often lacks that pink pigment. Green Tea gets another vote for good information.

The doctors had a little more of a challenge with ‘yellow’ health issues, but they covered such things as stings from yellow jackets and putting lemon juice in your water.

The blue part of the spectrum got plenty of attention and the doctors discussed the blue in blue corn chips, blue cheese, and the ‘blue-skinned man’. More people than you can imagine are fascinated by the ‘blue-skinned man’ who drank so much colloidal silver that he literally turned blue.

Sometimes the skin appears gray, but when you chelate the silver out of the body, the skin can often regain its natural color…most of the time. While I doubt that Dr. Travis really did that much due diligence on colloidal silver, he told his audience that it doesn’t work. I am going to tell you that it is toxic, although it does kill pathogens in the blood. The best alternative is to take liquid ionic silver which the human body can use without storing toxic levels.

Finally, the doctors talked about red and some of the other health issues that ‘color’ your world. Tomatoes are more than just vehicles for lycopene. You can feel comfortable consuming both fresh tomatoes and also use tomatoes in dishes that require cooking for healthy meals.

They never got around to brown and some other colors today, but beyond the visible light spectrum, the entire spectrum does play a significant role in your health… There are as many belief systems and ‘myths’ out there as grains of sand on the beaches around the world, so you are going to have to find that delicate balance through your own experience. Perhaps you can begin with Chicken Soup with fresh cloves of garlic, onion, other root vegetables that make a stock and add flavor and nutrients to soothe those feeling under the weather…just don’t eat soup out of a can!

Dr. Oz and Dr. Andrew Weil: The Spontaneous Happiness Plan

November 9th, 2011

There is still a certain sadness in the eyes of Dr. Andrew Weil, but he described his triumph over years of depression on the Dr. Oz show today.

Dr. Oz had Andrew talk about the supplements that could help pull people out of their moods, but yet again, both doctors failed to discuss the underlying causal factors in a meaningful way.

Dr. Weil touched upon it briefly as he told the blond woman about ‘forgiveness’ for her sister being more for her own health. He also got in one moment of saying something about feeling a and showing ‘gratitude’, but it was so brief that most people missed two of the keys to Happiness.

Dr. Oz and Dr. Andrew Weil: The Happiness Plan

Weil unveiled his 4 Week Plan for people to follow in the pursuit of happiness, but it is going to be much more of an ‘inner process’ than he suggested during the show. He gave more of a list of band-aid solution supplements and ideas, instead of really getting into the depths of what constitutes authentic Happiness and Joy. It’s a ‘full Life’ issue, not a hand full of herbs, vitamins, or healthy oils…

Naturally, you can’t say it all in only one segment, but I guess that’s why you are expected to read his new book. I think that you might learn more about depression than happiness as he writes about his life story.

I suppose I should give credit where credit is due. The suggestion for EFAs, whole foods sources of nutrients for the brain, and a few other ideas will indeed help turn around the depression that the body feels when inflammation and distress weaken the human body. But the power of the mind and the Spirit are the key components to realizing and knowing authentic Happiness in one’s life. Food and nutrition is only one aspect of the blissful feeling of Joy…

Dr. Oz tried to breeze through the physical movement and breathing exercise that Andrew offered. That brief mention of Yoga could have been missed by most listening to the show… These doctors are still missing the point of deep spiritual connections to self, family, place, and purpose when they spend more time talking about the physiological aspects of depression and happiness. At least they are beginning to wake up…

TheDoctorsTV and the Best Choices: What is Worse and What is Better For You?

November 8th, 2011

It struck me as strange that the doctors would only consider two options when patients face these life-altering choices; but then they are not known for their creative imaginations. They are technicians…

TheDoctorsTV Show: Which is Worse?

Dr. Drew began with the question of whether to pop a pimple with a needle or your fingers. If you pop at all, do it under sterile conditions to prevent infection. The doctors have covered this topic before, but people like that fake head and fake pimple demonstration for some gross reason.

Then the subject came up whether or not sugar or fat is worse!

The physicians concluded that sugar is worse than fat. But then it’s all a matter of perspective…

Both are ‘bad’ for your health. It doesn’t have to be a choice between one or the other, you should eliminate refined sugars and saturated fats from your diet. Instead of picking your poison, you have to live a ‘balanced’ Lifestyle to be truly healthy and well. If you are consuming refined sugar or artificial sugar substitutes; then your body just might store the extra calories as ‘fat’ anyway. Neither is desirable…

The question posed by the doctors would have been better to have asked whether to choose one natural sweetener over another. The answer is less obvious. Most people have their preferences in taste when it comes to ‘sweetness’. Some love their maple syrup. Some love their honey. Some love their fresh organic fruit and the juice that is derived from ripe fruit. Some people love their blue agave syrup, brown rice syrup, molasses, stevia, date sugar, palm sugar, and all other choices that are healthy for them. You don’t even have to make ONE choice when you can vary your sweeteners at any given time.

Then Dr. Lisa went on to address whether or not a C-section or a natural old-fashioned birth was better or worse. She made points for both choices, but most of the reasons were based upon problems that occur, not on the wonder of natural child birth that has been occurring for millions of years.

It goes to show you that midwives and alternative birthing proponents have gone that ‘extra mile’ to ensure that women have a better choice and a better outcome. I am still proud to say that my home births were wonderful and I wouldn’t do anything differently. I had no complications and it was an incredible experience for me.

Too many women who are pregnant are treated as if they have a disease that will only result in problems during delivery. I fear for those women whose doctors expect complications. That fear often manifests itself with unsatisfactory consequences. Even Dr. Lisa sees pregnant women as vulnerable, fragile human beings who should not engage in certain types of exercises or activities to be so careful that they don’t run into critical situations.

I remember climbing the mountains of Colorado when I was eight months pregnant without ropes with my husband. I skiing, I played tennis, I walked through the Labyrinth, and I was just fine. My deliveries were ‘picture perfect’, but that was intentional with my penchant for Wellness and a wonderful experience in giving birth to my children.

More women need to empower themselves to design a better experience for one of the most precious moments of their lives. You can work with your health care professional closely to have the kind of pregnancy and delivery that you dream of with ideal circumstances while still being prepared for any unforeseen events.

Then Dr. Jim gave his two cents’ worth with advice about thumb-sucking and pacifiers. He is one of the most level-headed doctors I have heard on television. He keeps it ‘real’. While I made my own decision when I was five to quit sucking my thumb (long before they made pacifiers) when I noticed that other kids were not sucking theirs, I was creative enough with my own children to offer them more alternatives. They never had pacifiers, but they did have toys they could safely put into their mouths and they were introduced to healthy frozen pops that soothed their gums while they were teething or wanted to suck on something. They also got fruit leather and other ‘suckable’ foods when they were older to fill the need to suckle.

Then there was the question of a man’s hairy chest and how much hair is too much. No doctor can adequately answer that question, because it is a matter of personal taste. Each man and woman must decide for themselves what works for them and their partners. I have been in relationships with men with plenty of hair and men with very little hair on their bodies, depending upon their nationalities. It was their choice and I respected that decision or those genetics without hesitation. It was not foremost on my mind…

Dr. Travis perhaps summed up this hour the best. He stated that it was his opinion. That’s so true… You’ll find one doctor who feels one way and another doctor who has an opposing point-of-view. There are very few steadfast rules for most of the topics that the doctors covered today.

Dr. Oz is Out and Daughter Daphne is In: The Health Secrets of Chocolate on The Chew

November 7th, 2011

Dr. Oz is out of touch with the information that the public wants. On the Dr. Oz show today, he was back again promoting the Transformation Nation Weight Watchers program. This is not the healthiest way to lose weight, reach your goals, and eat. You may lose weight, but you are still compromising your health.

So…Dr. Oz is ‘OUT’…

His daughter, Daphne Oz, is “IN”!

The Chew had the whole hour devoted to chocolate. Daphne Oz provided clear health information that would anchor anyone in their understanding of the value of chocolate for one’s health.

The Chew: Daphne Oz and the Health Benefits of Chocolate

The only resemblance between father and daughter was the reference to the sexual pleasure centers in the brain which are stimulated when a person consumes cacao. They seem to share the same fascination for healthy sexuality!

But cacao contributes to the health of the human being in more ways than just one’s brain chemistry. There are numerous studies that confirm the health benefits to most of the organs and systems of the body. Organic cacao is one of those ‘foods from the Gods’ that will generally improve the health of the whole human being.

The caveat is that you cannot consume cacao that has been adulterated with refined sugar, refined flour, artificial ingredients, dairy products, and other ‘substances’ that are often mixed into chocolates, desserts, and candies.

Real organic cacao and organic ingredients are essential to realize the true health benefits of chocolate. Whether it is sweet or savory, chocolate plays a vital role in the health of those who love this dark brown magic!

The Chew crew prepared chocolate pudding, chocolate pumpkin pie, chocolate-coated pears, and paraded Jacques Torres around the stage with his chocolate turkey mold and his delicious chocolate nib cookies. Chef Irvine who lost his bid for Iron Chef last night gave the audience banana fritters with chocolate and lavender honey.

The people who would normally watch and listen to Dr. Oz try to compel them to lose weight might do much better to watch Daphne on The Chew. I really think that Daphne and Lisa have molded Dr. Oz in more ways than he has yet admitted to us!

Daphne may have referred to Nutella as she demonstrated how to blend chocolate with hazelnuts, but there is a superior brand of this combination of chocolate and nuts that is organic and delicious. This spread will change your chocolate life…

You’ll find this chocolate and hazelnut spread at Love Street Living Foods along with other nut butters and spreads that will refine your taste for the best chocolate and the healthiest ingredients on the planet!

Dr. Oz and His Oz-Approved Product Endorsements: Second Segment on Salt Inhaler, Light Therapy, Bach Flower Remedies, and Cheating with Processed Foods

November 5th, 2011

The Dr. Oz show continued with the second segment of the hour devoted to Oz-Approved products and health tips. We are continuing our discussion from yesterday and will culminate the conversation tomorrow.

Dr. Oz and Oz-Approved Products, Foods, and Tips

Dr. Oz thinks that his audience are ‘greenhorns’ just like he is with some of these well-known approaches. He acts as if he is introducing something entirely new and unknown on his show when he is actually ‘far behind the times’ with the rest of us who have been the true pioneers of Holistic Health Care and Wellness.

Doctors sure can be ‘full of themselves’ when it comes to thinking that they are the ‘authority’ or the ‘one who knows’… I would think that Dr. Oz would give credit where credit is due.

The Himalayan Salt Inhaler is a commercial version of the use of salt for centuries to soothe swollen tissue and move bodily fluids. The Neti Pot is another example that Dr. Oz once was really thrilled about that demonstrates that salt has been in use in Ayurveda for thousands of years. It’s nothing new… The mode of application may be simplified and easier for people to use with the Inhaler apparatus.

But remember, don’t overuse the Salt Inhaler. It is for temporary use only. If you have too much mucous, you need to avoid or eliminate dairy products, fried foods, and processed foods. Citrus fruit juice accomplishes the same task as do some Essential Oils like Eucalyptus and Peppermint Oil. Salt requires a delicate balance on any tissue or surface…

The Light Therapy segment was decent for the most part, although I would suggest that you use a Full Spectrum Light Bulb instead of an orange bulb. Believe it or not, your body knows which parts of the Visible Light Spectrum to use at any given time of the day or night. When you begin to isolate colors in Visible Light, you can either balance a system or throw it out of balance. Too much orange will become a problem! The Full Spectrum lighting is the most ideal.

Furthermore, you should give yourselves some time off from the computer, the TV, and light in general in the late evening when you are getting ready to go to bed to go to sleep. It’s more important to eliminate all Visible Light when it’s time for you to sleep. I’ve told you about the Bucky Eye Masks that were designed to block out all light, so your brain can secrete Melatonin and support a deep restful sleep.

The best Light Therapy is taking a few minutes out of your hectic day and going outside into the Sun to take a walk or sit for a few minutes to drink in all of that natural light. If you really cannot find those minutes in your day, then there are Light Therapy lamps and devices that are better than orange bulbs. Don’t shortchange yourselves for the sake of the limitations of Dr. Oz’s knowledge base.

OK..let’s talk about Bach Flower Remedies. Dr. Oz mentioned Rescue Remedy which is therapeutically reserved for severe trauma, not daily nor regular use. His family may overuse this remedy… When the numerous remedies were researched and prepared for distribution, they each have specific qualities that are for use during specific conditions. If you want to deal with Stress, don’t rely upon Rescue Remedy. Reserve Rescue Remedy for the most difficult and disturbing of times like the death of a loved one, a serious accident, or a divorce or painful relationship that stirs strong emotions which take you to the brink… That’s when you need to be rescued!

Rather than experimenting with Bach Flower Remedies the way Dr. Oz does, go to a professional who is well-versed in the particular applications for each remedy in order to get the correct one for you at that time. The flower essences interact with the emotional body in the Infrared part of the Light Spectrum. You will notice a shift in your emotions, not your physical body under most circumstances.

Now…let’s get on to the irresponsible ‘Cheating’ approval by Dr. Oz. The very fact that he endorses and approves of ‘cheating’ is an indication that he is fallible and misses the mark when it comes to integrity of care. A true Healer doesn’t encourage his patients to ‘cheat’ themselves. If you are willing to compromise your health and well-being, you are not living an authentic healthy Lifestyle. You have work to do to honor your body, mind, and spirit…to respect your Life and yourselves. Don’t let this doctor convince you that it’s OK to cheat…

If you resort to ‘cheating’ by eating any processed foods, you are going to compromise your health goals. You cannot expect to eat a Fiber One Brownie just because it contains only 90 calories in order to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you crave sweets, then you need to nourish the Earth Element with whole foods, herbal formulas, and nutritional supplements. It would be better to go to your local Whole Foods Market and find a box of organic brownie mix to which you will add eggs and a few other healthy ingredients and bake your own. If you want ice cream to go along with your brownies, then buy some So Delicious Soy Ice Cream or another alternative to replace the artificial dairy products.

I am willing to bet that Dr. Oz has never stepped foot in a Whole Foods Market. He acts as if there are no organic healthy choices or replacements for cookies, brownies, and pasta. The DeBoles artichoke pasta is good, but there are organic brown rice pastas that are fantastic now. You can walk on the ‘wild side’ by going to your local Whole Foods Market and you’ll be able to educate Dr. Oz on healthy foods that don’t require you to cheat on yourself!

Processed foods in general are going to present issues for your health, but at least when you eat organic cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other items; you will be one step ahead of the game that Dr. Oz is playing with you. The ideal is to get all of the raw ingredients and whole foods and prepare everything in your own kitchen. It’s a wise use of your time.

Certainly you can make your own guacamole! Some of the brands that Dr. Oz mentioned are fine, but be sure to shop in reputable Whole Foods Markets that carry fresh products on their shelves. You don’t always have to have corn tortilla chips with your guacamole. You can slather it on a teff tortilla or on a fresh leaf of lettuce and enhance it with cilantro, diced tomato, a dab of sour cream, and a little chipotle salsa without guilt, fear, or any sense of ‘cheating’… Be true to yourselves, to your health goals, and to the sound methods that will get you there with a healthy Lifestyle!

Beware the doctor in sheep’s clothing…

Dr. Oz and His First Endorsements: Oz-Approved and Tested Products Discussed for the First Time

November 4th, 2011

In the past, Dr. Oz has made a big deal out of not endorsing any product. But today he spent the entire hour discussing what he has tested and is ‘Dr. Oz Approved’ for his audience.

I am going to cover these things over the course of several days, so be patient. First let’s talk about the substance that Dr. Oz thinks is new…

Dr. Oz Approved Products and Medical Tips on Today’s Show

Dr. Oz is really out of his element when he thinks that America is unfamiliar with Moxibustion. This method of treatment using Mugwort is an integrated part of TCM and is thousands of years old…well-known in the East and among millions of people in the West.

Dr. Oz believes that Moxa is used only for Back Pain, but there are many applications for this substance in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Good Lord, the first thing I ever learned to do in one of my first year Acupuncture School classes was to practice rolling Moxa with my fingers into a cone.

If you want to benefit from treatments using Moxa externally, then visit your local Acupuncturist to get a professional who knows more about Moxibustion than Dr. Oz. You can also eat Mugwort Mochi which is made from sweet brown rice as either a savory or a sweet dessert or side dish. A tea can be made from Mugwort and splashed over the body. Korean Spas use this technique.

Then Dr. Oz moved on to Rhodiola Rosea. This Adaptogen was heavily researched by the Russians for use in athletic performance and Rhodiola has been used in herbal formulations in TCM for thousands of years. Rhodiola is rarely even used alone, so Dr. Oz needs to get a grip on his recommendation. If you are going to include Rhodiola in your Wellness Plan, then the best way to introduce it into your body is by drinking BrainTONIQ, instead of drowning yourself with shots of herbal-infused vodka!

Brain TONIQ

Rhodiola is not a ‘party’ drink as Dr. Oz suggested… He is entering that zone where physicians think that they know it all when they are novices in Wellness and Holistic Health Care. By telling his audience to soak this Adaptogen in vodka for 24 hours and taking a shot, he is showing his ignorance and irresponsibility when it comes to the proper application of Adaptogens. I would hope that he would clarify this in a future show and apologize for his confusion and ineptitude.

I will continue to bring you more information about this episode tomorrow. You really need more than what Dr. Oz has given you! He’s already fallen below the mark of professional conduct…

Doctor Oz and Daughter Daphne: The Family Microwave Mistake

November 3rd, 2011

I am loving The Chew with Daphne Oz, the daughter of Dr. Oz. You know that I am going to either sing the praises of Dr. Oz or tell him where he has gone wrong here on my Blog.

Today was a ‘Double Oz Day’…

Doctor Oz and Daughter Daphne both made statements about microwave ovens and the health of food prepared with this method.

Daphne is being influenced by those around her when she should continue to listen to her mother, Lisa Oz. In fact, Lisa Oz should have her own show on healthy vegetarian food, family, and peaceful co-existence!

No one should be using a microwave oven to cook or reheat food of any kind. Period! End of healthy story…

The way a microwave oven works is at the very heart of the matter. Your body is not designed to deal with rapidly vibrating atoms which are highly unstable. It does damage that doesn’t meet the eye, but there it is nonetheless. If you truly care about your health and longevity and qualify of life; then you will use the healthier methods of food preparation. Steaming, low slow heat, stir fry quickly, saute, or raw are the best and most suitable food preparation methods for Wellness.

Daphne tried to dispel the myth that microwaves are bad for you and Michael Symon chimed in correctly. They are horrible choices. I couldn’t even recommend reheating food or boiling water in a microwave oven. You don’t save that much time and the damage that is done internally takes a serious toll on the integrity of the cells that line your digestive system. Can you really justify risking that!?! Of, course not!

Daphne: Your mother was right to raise you to never use a microwave oven for food preparation. Listen to your Mom! I am a Mom, too, so you can listen to me as well. Plus…I have this little EAV device that demonstrates that what I say is true.

Now…on to Dr. Oz who had a segment about microwaving foods in one minute. The quesadilla took one minute to melt the cheese, warm the beans, and begin to break down the nutrients in the avocado. That’s just stupid! When you can place the quesadilla in a skillet or on the grill or in the oven for one minute, two minutes, or until the cheese melts; then you are going to have the same end result…but with healthier ingredients while you preserve the nutrient value of your food. Saving a minute or two is not worth the destruction of thousands of cells that line your digestive system and disrupt the DNA when you consume food prepared in a microwave.

Then there was the four minute salmon dish. The pan-seared salmon takes five to ten minutes depending upon the size of the salmon fillet. The marinade provides the flavor, but you ruin the value of the ginger, the garlic, the parsley, and the oil when you throw the fish into the microwave oven. Just refuse to use that beast! Salmon is one of the fastest and most healthful of seafood that deserve a proper preparation method.

The difference between four minutes and ten minutes is not worth your health and cellular integrity! Be good to your salmon and healthy ingredients and they will be equally good for your body.

Doctor Oz: You need to listen to your wife, Lisa. She has the wisdom that you are seriously lacking and ignoring after all of these years. If you really don’t want more of those polyps to grow in your colon, you should avoid the microwave altogether. The last thing you should tell your audience should be how to save a minute or two of time to suffer needlessly with cancer and other degenerative diseases from making foolish choices in food preparation techniques when you are not an expert in this area.

Daphne made us all laugh with her wide variety of accents as she tried to bust other food myths. The best one of the day was about Trail Mix. She gives a good recipe for a better substitute at the end of this video segment from today’s The Chew show. Popcorn, nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate chips can only be enhanced by a sprinkle of sea salt, a spray of agave syrup on the dried fruit, and more organic chocolate pieces. I would add a handful of pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, or sunflower seeds to this mix for even more nutrient goodness and crunch to go with the ‘chew’.

Dr. Oz and The Way the Medical Community Induces Fear of Cancer: Breast Health Supercedes the Fear of Breast Cancer

November 2nd, 2011

I find Western Medicine lacking in so many ways…

Today was a perfect example of why it is so limited and fails so many people.

Dr. Oz tried to rouse the audience with fear of breast cancer. It is one of the most irresponsible and atrocious acts that a doctor can do toward a patient or an audience member seeking health information! I was horrified…

Dr. Oz Incites Fear of Breast Cancer with Total Disrespect for Women

Even though this article has nothing to do directly with this episode of Dr. Oz, it does reflect some of the issues that draw the line in the sand between holistic health care and traditional Western Medical approaches to treating cancer.

Doctor and His Wife Clash on Cancer Treatment Approach

The women wisely chose to follow her inner voice and went the route of holistic health care to address the cancer in her body after Western Medical approaches nearly killed her. That’s the problem, the doctor, her husband, tried to stick to his guns with his medical training and pushed her into therapies which destroyed her immune system, challenged her nervous system, and drove her to the brink. At last, she pursued her own intuitive knowingness and went to Mexico to get help with Live Cell Analysis and other holistic approaches that saved her life and put the cancer into remission.

These damn doctors think that they know best… That’s just not true most of the time. They can diagnose disease, they can perform routine examinations and tests, they can treat patients like industrial robots; but they are NOT Healers! When they promote fear of cancer, they make women focus on disease. What you hold as your ‘common thought’ does manifest!

The most grievous sin of Dr. Oz on his show was to try to instill fear in the women in the audience about their risk for breast cancer. It’s the power of the emotion of ‘fear’ that often opens the door for an imbalance in the physical body and the bio-energetic field of the human being. This is not the way to treat women, Dr. Oz and you should take a moment to reflect upon your mistaken choice of approach. Just because your producers are trying to draw in a crowd to listen to your show by fear-mongering, you should refuse to be a part of it. You are better than that…

If Dr. Oz or any other physician should be doing something useful and purposeful for their patients, it would be to support women in finding methods for enhancing breast health. The foods that were discussed on Dr. Oz were more for that than for lowering the risk of cancer. It’s a frame of mind. Doctors need to step out of the ‘disease’ model and begin to practice ‘wellness’ and authentic health care.

Is the doctor of Oz so divorced from healthy food that he has no awareness of sprouts? That’s so basic… He doesn’t even grasp food combining either. He is such an amateur that he took raw sprouts of broccoli out into the audience, instead of dressing them in a salad of greens, beans, whole grains, vegetables, and a savory dressing to taste spectacular. He could have even included those sprouted lentils that were on the next station. But we all know that he is a total novice in the kitchen.

Dr. Oz and the Recipes for Breast Cancer

If you really care about your quality of health care, then you are going to have to take the bull by the horns and pursue your holistic sources of information. Don’t let the doctors who are going to kill you with fear and insufficient approaches to treatment get the upper hand. There is ample evidence that the holistic health care approaches to dealing with cancer in the breast or any other part of the human body works… You simply have to decide to go that route and erase the ‘fear factor’.

Dr. Oz and Montel Williams: Suicide or Suffering – Is It An Individual’s Right to Choose?

November 1st, 2011

Dr. Oz and Montel Williams tackled one of the most intense questions in medicine and facing any individual who has considered ending his life.

Is it a person’s right to commit suicide? Is it a person’s right to end one’s life?

Dr. Oz and Montel Williams on Suicide and the Right to Die

Montel says that it is and he is not alone. The women who have been suffering for 8 years and can only speak said that she would end her life, because it’s no longer worth living.

The State and the doctor has no authority. The authority rests with the individual. It’s the right of Free Will given to one and all. No one should have the power to determine what another person does or doesn’t do in this matter or any other matter. That’s what true ‘Sovereignty’ is. Sovereignty rests with the individual.

How dare a doctor ‘play God’ with another human being’s life! No license qualifies a man to interfere in anther man’s choice. If the medical doctor decides not to treat or assist a patient who wishes to end his life, then he has the freedom and the responsibility to terminate the care of that person.

That fellow who told Montel that he is making his ‘job harder’ needs to be challenged in his belief system. He needs to honor the freedom of others to make their own decisions, instead of appointing himself the lawgiver. Some regulatory agency should take his license to practice medicine away for his violation of another’s Free Will with his need to control the life of that other individual. He’s an egotistical fool.

Suffering and pain do not a life make…

Prolonging life is not necessarily the merciful or appropriate thing to do. I am going to tell you this right now. Life after Death is pain-free and the Consciousness of the individual will survive Death and be free from suffering and pain. No doctor on earth has sufficient knowledge nor experience to contest this. I have been out of my body and know thousands of other cases where people have left their bodies. There are seven levels of existence and in this realm of spirituality, the power to live and die is solely the individual’s decision. Religion has no authority here. The spiritual choice of each individual reigns supreme and needs to be honored and respected regardless of one’s personal belief systems.

The medical community has the DNR order for those who do not wish for intervention to force them to have vital signs with equipment when their heart fails or their lungs cease to function or when the brain no longer is actively controlling any other part of the body on their own. People who go into Hospice are treated with respect as they die in an environment where they can be cared for by others. It’s a personal choice in each and every case.

It was suggested that you have a proxy before it becomes necessary for others to make an arbitrary decision for you due to your incapacitation to follow your instructions and final wishes. It may one of the more interesting discussions you will have with someone close to you. This can avoid a lot of paperwork, debates, pain, and confusion. When a relative is put into a difficult position to make these choices for their family member, it can be extremely challenging for the family and the medical staff.

The bottom line here is that each individual has the Free Will to determine to continue to live or to decide to die. If everything within the toolkit of the doctors has been done, then it’s even more important for the individual to make this choice which will determine the course of care.

Remember, Death is not the end. There is nothing to fear after the Soul leaves the body. You exist, you will continue to exist, and you will have your Life Review before you walk into the next chapter in your Book of Life. Only you can do this, no one will accompany you or do it for you.
