A couple of weeks ago, Dr. Oz revealed the health issue facing parents and children who love their apple juice and other fruit juices. He brought the problem of arsenic in juice to the public to get attention for the health of our future generations.
The industry and the regulatory agencies attacked Dr. Oz as did some of his colleagues, but in the end the recent article prepared and printed in Consumer Reports confirms what Dr. Oz and all of us in the holistic community have been trying to tell you for years.
Arsenic is a heavy metal that is harmful to the human body. The longer the arsenic remains in the body, the more damage it does. The body is not normally nor naturally equipped to eliminate arsenic, so this presents a huge health risk to children with prolonged exposure over years.

The Today Show brought this News from Consumer Reports and Dr. Oz back into the spotlight where it belongs until the industry and the FDA get their acts together to protect our youth and the general public.
Inorganic Arsenic in any quantity is unsafe and presents a health risk to the nervous system, the developing brain, and the rest of the body, including the blood cells. There is NO safe limit, regardless of all of the statements that the FDA or the juice industry would issue and have you believe. Any molecule of arsenic in the body does damage until it is detoxified through specific intentional practices.
It’s not about an ‘acceptable quantity’….
It’s important for parents, caregivers, and all of us to refuse to ingest poisons in our food supply. You should not consume ANY brand of juice that has any level of inorganic arsenic present. Furthermore, you should not be wiling to drink water with any level of arsenic present either!
Given the severity of this situation, you should be aware that you must detoxify your body for heavy metals and agricultural toxins and poisons like arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium, and nickel.

The whole pink thing becomes a little funky after awhile following the initial cuteness factor wearing off. But the nutritional foundation behind this program is much better than many other systems out on the market.
If you want to have some fun, flatter yourself in pink, and get your moves on; this might be a method for you to use.
Today may have been the most generous and giving show in Dr. Oz history. He talked about Childhood Hunger in America and asked for your help in changing the deplorable state of hunger among our young people.
Share Our Strength is one organization that has pledged its human resources, the money you donate, and the food that you give to eradicate hunger in our population of youngsters.
These kids often go to school without breakfast, are bullied or made fun of for eating a free school breakfast or lunch, and don’t eat again over the weekend at home until they go back to school on Monday. How can we justify letting this situation continue in our country?
Well, it’s essential that YOU get involved. Either you need some help to feed your children or you can donate your time, money, or food to feed a few kids.
The federal government is not doing enough, so don’t expect them to come to the rescue. I guess you could go ask a banker for a donation… But Share Our Strength is a worthy group who is making an impact in major areas of America.
There’s plenty more that needs to be done. That’s where you come in. Dr. Oz is using his program and his voice to ask that you participate in this endeavor.
Then after doing this, do something to help these kids learn to garden and grow their own food in school, in community gardens, and in their backyards. These middle class families that have now fallen on hard times don’t think to do this yet! When you save your own seeds, grow your own food, and share with others; abundance replaces hunger and poverty.
But the fact is that they agreed more than they disagreed. It is more a matter of symantics and points-of-references to the scientific research than opinion or experience.
It all got back to ‘Lifestyle’…
Both doctors agreed upon the relevance of a healthy Lifestyle as the biggest indicator of the health of an individual.
In many ways, even if a person was overweight, it didn’t mean that they were necessarily unhealthy. Likewise, even if someone were a little thin, it doesn’t mean that they are not at risk due to a larger percentage of body fat than their peers.
Most people listening to these two debate some of the finer points of medicine and measurement, they undoubtedly got lost in the shuffle. However, what became clear after the dialogue was that Lifestyle weighed more heavily in the equation for health than did an arbitrary calorie count or poundage.

It seems that the folks who are on the satellite channels are now going primetime with their new shows.
The Revolution is more of an evolution for fashion, health, and other aspects that the experts want to address with individuals who seek their assistance.
Well, at least we can hope that it’s an evolution. It may just be another designer remake featuring their lines and personal preferences projected onto other unwitting hopefuls.
How far does it actually take a person who only changes their wardrobe, the hair cut, their make-up, and their external appearance? It’s comparable to yet another reincarnation without the true evolution of the Soul!
If you are like thousands of Americas who have just enjoyed a large Thanksgiving meal and accidentally left your leftovers out for a lot longer than you had planned before refrigerating them; then here are a couple of ideas for you to prevent food poisoning.
Once your food has cooled down after the feast, it usually needs to be placed in the frig within two hours to keep bacteria from growing. If you got lost in conversation, if you were watching the football games, if you had to attend to anything that took longer than this…it’s best to play it safe with your leftovers.
Don’t go into the refrigerator and nibble on things in the middle of the night. Food needs to be reheated to a suitable temperature to destroy any pathogens that have managed to be present.
If you do see signs of food poisoning like red lines running up and down the length of your arms or a sour stomach; then it is time to take immediate action to rid your digestive system and lymphatic system of any pathogen. The best way to accomplish this task is with both an interior and an exterior application.
The digestive system can be introduced to a mixture of GSE and purified water blended to a reasonable, yet effective amount of GSE concentrate to water. You don’t want to irritate your gut by using too strong a mixture, but you want to provide enough to get rid of all the pathogens. Read the instructions on the little red and white bottle of GSE. Follow these instructions carefully!
You can drink down this concoction every hour until you feel fine again. If you already had candida in your gut, this will help in that department, too. Don’t be overly surprised if you encounter some looser stools in the process of detoxification and cleansing.

If your tummy is upset, then go with neutral foods like rice, potato, banana, or plain toast. Don’t add insult to injury with spicy foods, sweet desserts, or foods high in carbohydrates quite yet. You might just eat a lot of fresh tropical fruit for a day or two like pineapple, papaya, mango, banana, and the citrus grouping of oranges, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and tangerine.
You can sip on organic Peppermint Tea, Chai, lemonade, green tea, and pure water. China Cola will also settle your stomach if you are burping or feel that there are squirmishes in your belly. If you do end up with diarrhea, then you might want to make some Kudzu Root Pudding either savory or sweet to quiet the intestinal juggling act.
If you are really in doubt about some food item, it is better to throw it out rather than risking it in your body. One last tip is to have food storage containers ready after preparing a large holiday meal. You’ll be more inclined to put everything away before you go on to enjoy the rest of the day with family and friends…minus the critters that cause food poisoning.
You always have high expectations for how good the food that is served for Thanksgiving Dinner is going to taste, but sometimes it is a disappointment.
The turkey is dry and tasteless. The mashed potatoes are bland mush. The stuffing had no flavor. The dessert was too sweet and you couldn’t tell if it was pumpkin or sweet potato pie. The vegetables were water-logged. The cranberries just don’t taste right and why do people bother to keep making them for this holiday meal. Even that green bean casserole was worthless. Those stupid marshmallows on top of the sweet potatoes were burned and tasted as if they had been on the store shelf since last Thanksgiving!
All in all, you really are wondering if your food can taste better and be better for your health.
The answer is a resounding “yes”!
But you need to do a couple of things differently. First of all, you need to shop at a better store, either in your local community or online. If you go to the big box stores, you are limited in your supply of flavorful and fresh foods. Certainly, you can search online for your local Whole Foods Market, a corner Food Coop, a Farmer’s Market, or a health food store with a great produce section.

The doctors on the popular DoctorsTV show tackled the major issue of air quality today.
They only started to describe the health problems that polluted air poses to children, adults, and people who are compromised by other medical conditions.
Air pollution inside and outside the home, the office, and where ever people live is one of the largest issues that you need to consider when embracing a healthy Lifestyle.
Either you move out of the cities into the country where the air is pure and fresh or you must take significant steps to ensure that you protect your health with air filters, medical devices, and other treatments.
The physicians talked about pollution, pollen, allergies, and adenoids. They talked about the various diseases that are complicated by poor air quality. They even talked about diagnosis of viral, fungal, or bacterial pathogens affecting the lungs. The COPD diagnosis appears to be much more common and frequent which signals that air quality continues to get worse in our cities.
Personally, instead of using an air filter, I have chosen to live in a small town where the air is cleansed by rain and the forests that filter the atmosphere naturally. I would no longer live in a big city with polluted air that is the cause of disease, distress, and injury to the human body.

The Endocrine System and the Immune System are thrown out of Balance when you are overweight, obese, or have excess belly fat. Hormones are produced which trigger biochemical responses that lead to undesirable consequences like the growth of cancer cells.
The key is not to gain any more weight and to reduce the excess belly fat that has accumulated due to one’s Lifestyle. The two explained the essential value of many whole foods that fight the battle on both sides.
Whether you are looking for anthocyanins or just the pink and purple color in fruit and vegetables, the magic of colorful foods cannot be underestimated. Regardless of which type of cancer was being described, the ‘name of the game’ to effectively deal with it was to eat whole and fresh foods. That’s not new to you and I, but doctors and researchers are just figuring it out.

Dr. Oz recognized nurses on his show today. The nurses shared their best tips that they had to offer which changes the quality of health care a patient receives while under the care of the medical profession.
In some cases, the nurses are the front line and primary care givers who know the patient inside and out. They often catch things that the absent doctor misses. They have long shifts and learn directly about the care and feeding of each patient.
The opinions of nurses in their profession varies and Dr. Oz explored a lot of this territory. The most profound statement was one made by one nurse about health care being more than medicine, so don’t dismiss alternative therapeutic methods like massage, oils, and other types of care.

The best time to talk to the nurses is at 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. according to one of the nurses on the show.
