Some of my visitors want to know…
Where can you buy SafSlim?
It’s available on this website or at many GNC stores across the country.
SafSlim
The website has a Store Locator which will help you find a local GNC that might carry the SafSlim. If they don’t have it in stock in your city, then you can purchase it from the website.
It comes in a couple of flavors with a favorable consistency much like a pudding which is preferable to oil. It looks easy to take as a nutritional supplement.
The science and research is there and it appears that the supplement is superior at conquering belly fat and building muscle mass than just using Safflower Oil alone as a food ingredient. You can do both!
Dr. Oz seemed inclined to believe Montel Williams and I would think that it is certainly worth giving SafSlim a try for at least four months or longer, depending upon your diet and Lifestyle.

Chris Powell shared the stage with Dr. Oz to discuss healthy carbohydrates which are important for improving a person’s sluggish metabolism and perpetual lack of energy.
There was fire on the set and it was a decent demonstration as far as illustrations on Dr. Oz go. But the best part was the statement by Chris Powell that “genetics loads the gun and lifestyle pulls the trigger”!
He said it twice…
Chris and Dr. Oz pointed out that whole grains, root vegetables like squash, and other whole foods with healthy carbs will help instead of hinder the goals of feeling more energy and losing belly fat as your body returns to burning calories where it counts during the day. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, and dinner all play an important role in changing the way the metabolic processes work in the human body.
Dr. Oz and Chris Powell: Healthy Carbohydrates for Improving Metabolism
Don’t underestimate the relative value of nuts, whole grains, seeds, vegetables, and fresh fruit. Forget the processed foods… Embrace your healthy carbs and eat to nourish your body, instead of depriving it.

Dr. Oz described the rise of Stomach Cancer on today’s show. He noted that it occurs primarily in Latino and Black women, but is increasingly being diagnosed in Caucasians as well.
With the reliance on processed and Fast Food in every sector of the population, this comes as no surprise to us. However, it is important to provide you with the information that can assist you in learning how to prevent or deal with this type of cancer using whole foods.
Dr. Oz and Stomach Cancer
Dr. Oz invited a fellow expert to share which foods appear to help in this battle. First the foods that are high in anti-oxidants which contain orange pigments were identified. This includes butternut squash and pumpkin which were on the table display. Although the pumpkin was in a can and ideally, you should eat fresh pumpkin and squash to get all of the nutrients and energy from these foods. Squash are especially easy to find during the fall and winter months.
It’s simple to make healthy dishes using squash that has been roasted in the oven, sauteed in the pan, turned into soup, pie, or steamed to perfection. Pumpkin and squash do well with winter spices like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. Garlic and onion harmonize with these as well.
Dr. Oz sampled some recipes offered by audience members for the foods presented on the table.
The second and third tables included red beans like aduki and kidney beans, pinto beans, all types of beans, and sauerkraut.
In the past, we’ve discussed the value of seaweed like wakame and kombu, root vegetables like sweet potatoes, fresh citrus fruit like oranges or lemons or limes, and cruciferous vegetables like cabbage.
It’s significant to note that the experts are repeatedly telling people to eliminate processed foods from their diets and to include more Raw Foods and Whole Foods for optimal health and wellness.
The methods of food preparation are also put into play in the role of food in keeping the body free from cancer. What you put into your mouth that goes into your stomach is of vital importance. Even the liquids are going to have a profound impact on the stomach.
If you are experiencing the symptoms that Dr. Oz discussed, then a change in diet is going to prove to be useful. You can also soothe your stomach with organic peppermint tea, China Cola, and Ginger Ale that is made from organic ginger root and natural ingredients.
Dr. Oz shared the stage with experts who told the audience that cured meats with nitrites and nitrates need to be eliminated along with the bacteria h. pylori which is prevalent in many people’s stomachs. We have told you in the past that the use of GSE in purified water will help to destroy these bacteria.

This is the second time that Dr. Oz has invited Dr. Mercola to appear on the Dr. Oz show. He is considered by the mainstream medical community to be controversial, but he is more analytical than tempermental. He expects more of doctors than most patients…
So he basically is saying to not automatically trust your doctor. Doctors are people, too.
Some doctors excel in keeping up on health issues and treatment protocols and all of the myriad of things that they are supposed to have relative mastery over. Some take Seminars and Workshops to stay on top of their games… But then there are those who barely do what they must to be licensed and practice medicine. You have to watch out for these slackers.
Not all doctors are created the same. Some care more than others… Some are more open-minded to new approaches than others… Some are re-thinking what they have been taught, because of their sense of responsibility to their patients and their practice.
Seek out the best of the best…
Don’t settle for doctors who think they know it all or have all of the tools in their toolbox that they will ever need for the remainder of their lives. They stop learning and finding out about things and ways to help their patients and you deserve better…
It’s important for you to shop around to find the doctor(s) that you feel suit your personal expectations and needs. You know yourself better than anyone else and you’ll know it when you find the physician that matches your ideals for health care.
Dr. Mercola gave some pertinent examples of areas where doctors could be re-thinking things. Drugs, procedures, and methodologies need to be re-evaluated and updated to improve patient care and outcomes.
Dr. Oz and Dr. Mercola: Do You Trust Your Doctor?
It’s no wonder the medical community sees him as a renegade when he demands excellence and precision in patient care and procedure. They don’t want to have to work too hard to do better, so they are threatened by someone who critiques his own… Tough, get over it and work on improving medical care in this country to be accountable to your patients and your colleagues!
If you find a lazy doctor, don’t waste your time being under their care. Find another. Go to Holistic Physicians who have more training and are more attentive to trends, new procedures that work, and cutting-edge technological advances. You owe it to yourself to be treated by the very best in this business…and it is a business.
For instance, don’t listen to Dr. Oz when it comes to Ear Candles. He doesn’t know much at all about ear candling or else he would have approached the subject differently during the segment today. He’s an idiot to tell you to save your money on safer methods, but offering none of them on his show. I have candled other people’s ears and I have had my own ears candled with great success. It works when you know what you are doing. Dr. Oz incorrectly implied that the candles are lit to create smoke when the purpose is to create a vacuum which pulls the debris from the ear gently and without damage to the interior of the ear which other procedures have been known to harm.
Do take a walk in the sun every day to help support your body’s production and use of Vitamin D. Do not take those Bonita supplements when you can eat Bonita Flakes in your meals instead. Tuna is good as food, but resorting to a supplement just because it’s new on the market is irresponsible Dr. Oz! Yes, I am talking to you, dude.
I am telling you that a healthy Lifestyle is based upon whole foods with as few supplements as necessary to fill in any gaps in the nutrients and bio-energetic components you might not get in your food. Food sources are infinitely better for you than manufactured supplements. They are but an ‘assurance policy’…just in case.
Dr. Oz seems to learn something every time that Dr. Mercola appears on his show. I would bet that he subscribes to his Newsletter, too.
I do…
But I don’t think that Dr. Mercola has all of the answers either. I pick and choose what I feel is the best of the best among many sources of information. Grow and learn more every day to know what works the best for you as an individual…

Montel Williams came back to the Dr. Oz show today to share his personal and professional experiences with the supplement he is now the spokesperson for that contains Safflower Oil.
Dr. Oz thinks that there may be some benefit to Safflower Oil when it comes to reducing the size of your belly. Both Dr. Oz and Montel bared their bellies to display their slim figures.
Montel told the story that an inch came and went when he stopped taking the Safflower supplement and then began to take it again. He is convinced that the inch he lost was solely due to the supplement.
Dr. Oz and Montel Williams Discuss the Loss of Belly Fat with Safflower Oil
Dr. Oz had a table with sunflower seeds, the SaffSlim supplement, and safflower oil on display with a salad and something else that I couldn’t easily identify to suggest that there are multiple ways to get Safflower Oil into your diet. He also talked about the shrimp and the supplement Chitosan, but he referred to them as the skins of shrimp when they are actually the shells of the shrimp.
Cooks and Chefs know how to make a reduction sauce by boiling the shells of shrimp, lobster, and prawns. They add herbs and stock and often celery, onion, and carrots to make it savory and delicious as well as healthy. Do this rather than taking that supplement!
I prefer using Safflower Oil in salad dressings. I am of the opinion that when you saute or fry with the oil, it is changed. I don’t like to take supplements when I can eat the whole food instead. I do like to snack on sunflower seeds and put them into salads and other dishes.
Four of the experts that Dr. Oz consults had mixed reviews of the research that one woman has done regarding Safflower and the loss of belly fat and the gain of muscle mass. Dr. Oz feels that there is something substantial here and that people can give it three months to see what it might do for them.
In your salad, throw in some sesame seeds along with those sunflower seeds while you mix up your own dressing with Safflower Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, organic stone ground Mustard, a little lemon juice, and a dash of salt and pepper. Dress your salads and your dresses just may fit better in a few weeks to a few months…
When you buy sunflower seeds, make sure that they are fresh, not toasted or ancient, and have only sea salt instead of commercial salt on them. It matters… If you have the extra time, get fresh organic sunflower seeds and crack them yourself.
Dr. Oz talked about a couple of other ways to lose some belly fat with supplements including GLA, Calcium Pyruvate, and sources of EFAs like Borage, Evening Primrose Oil, or Black Currant for instance. You have to keep in mind that these last three can shift a woman’s hormones, so take that into consideration, since Dr. Oz said nothing of it.
It was left unsaid to avoid or eliminate all processed foods and commercial beverages. Go ‘all natural and organic’… Your Safflower Oil needs to be organic and extremely fresh and cold-pressed. You will have better results when you do!

Officials in Hong Kong have tried to quell the fears of people who feel that Bird Flu is extremely dangerous now that a Lab in Europe has synthesized a strain that can be transmitted from human to human when a young man died this weekend from Bird Flu.
The bus driver from Shenzhen is thought to have contracted his Bird Flu from contact with a bird, but they really don’t know. They only know that preliminary tests show that the strain that killed this fellow is similar to another strain that they’ve isolated from birds.
Bird Flu Virus Fear After Bus Driver Dies This Weekend
They hope that people don’t panic and believe that the public health authorities have everything under control, but is that actually the case now? They will tell you that it is impossible for humans to contract Bird Flu from other humans, but can you trust that claim when you know that a strain has been created in a Lab that does transmit between humans without the avian interface.
Epidemics spread very quickly when a viral agent can be transmitted from human to human or bird to human and then more humans. It’s doesn’t take much of a stretch to realize that it could happen now and the consequences would be alarming and potentially tragic.
Essentially there is a ‘designer virus’ in a Lab that men can manipulate and possibly use for ‘biological warfare’. It exists and that presents a problem of considerable importance. Now we wonder how secure that Lab and the strain is… Let’s hope they have it under complete control with honorable people who would not weaponize it.
Nature’s Lab does not typically generate a virus that jumps from one species to another, but it has happened in the past…it’s just uncommon. So it’s only natural to be watchful and continue to monitor what is happening around the world.
If 17,000 chickens were destroyed, that alerts us to the concern for the safety of the public’s health. It takes such actions to stop the spread of disease…
The fellow who died of massive organ failure was admitted to the hospital for seven days after he began to have a fever. It took only a week for the virus to ravage his body to the point of impending death.
If you are paying attention to what happens around the world, then you will understand why it is so vitally important to keep your Immune System strong and resilient. In TCM, we call this the anti-pathogenic factor of the Wei Chi. The Lung Meridian regulates the Wei Chi. A person who tends to maintaining the balance within the bio-energetic systems of their bodies might be exposed to a pathogen, but it will not go deeper when the Wei Chi is strong. There are traditional Chinese Herbal Formulations that acupuncturists are well aware of that support this measure of protection.

It’s New Year’s Day or any other day after you’ve indulged in an excess of alcohol or food that leaves your stomach feeling queezy and upset. Do you know how to settle your tummy, so that horrible feeling goes away without throwing up or getting the dry heaves?
It’s a nasty little consequence of over-indulgence. But there are things that you can do that will quiet the rumbling, settle the churning, and make the discomfort go away.
First of all, organic Peppermint Tea is easy to find in most areas. It needs to be as fresh as possible, so that the essential oils are still active. If not, then find some Peppermint Essential Oil to apply to your stomach area and your body to alleviate the symptoms of excessive behavior.
Peppermint Tea needs to be brewed for a few minutes and allowed to steep for awhile. You can sweeten it if you must, but make sure it is a natural sweetener like honey, organic cane sugar, date sugar, blue agave syrup, or stevia. If you think that you might have eaten something that would result in food poisoning, then stevia is the sweetener of choice. You can add some freshly-squeezed lemon juice to your Peppermint Tea.
If you can’t keep anything down, then occasionally sip a little purified water. Just enough to wet your lips and keep your mouth moist until your stomach is able to handle fluids and/or something more solid. The purifies water will at least keep you hydrated…
When you feel like you are ready for something solid, then brown rice or another whole grain like pearl barley or oats will be good choices. You can eat toast as many physicians suggest, but if you butter it or put jelly or jam on your toast, it could upset your tummy all over again. So if you insist upon eating toast, make it plain.
Sometimes you need to move back into the realm of solid foods very gradually, so fresh fruit is a better choice. Bananas are ideal. Some people may do just fine with natural organic applesauce or some berries.
Once you can keep fruit or whole grains down without any problem, you can graduate to some yogurt, kefir, or miso soup. These will begin to restore the flora in your digestive system in a more natural manner. If you like fermented foods like sauerkraut or pickled daikon, then these will serve the same purpose. You should not combine any citrus fruit with your yogurt, only berries or sub-acid fruits go well with yogurt and kefir.
If your bowels are still rumbling and threatening to let loose their contents with little warning or control, then you need more serious assistance. We use Kudzu Pudding to quiet the colon. You can make it with fruit juice or with vegetable stock…either sweet or savory. Just make a slurry with some water and kudzu powder, then add it to a gently boiling base of liquid. Stir it constantly while it thickens to prevent clumping and to make a smooth pudding or gravy in the process. You can sip this pudding or gravy hot, warm, or at room temperature.
If your stomach is still sour and you eat another meal, then it might be smart to take some digestive enzymes with your meal or precede your meal with some pineapple or papaya juice to help in the digestion of protein. If you continue to find that your tummy is unsettled, then go back to the whole grains or bananas for awhile.
While there are over-the-counter remedies and medication that your doctor can prescribe, you really don’t need to avail yourselves of those unless all of your other alternatives fail. You may have a more serious situation if this is the case that needs the attention of a professional.

Paula Dean is known for her southern roots and food with tons of butter, flour, sugar, and oil. How do you pronounce ‘oil’?
Paula has two sons who have followed her into the business of food, family, and fine dining. But after Paula spilled her guts to Dr. Oz and the public about some of her feelings of inadequacy and personal misery, it may be the perfect time for her son, Bobby, to provide some guidance and direction to strengthen his mother and their family.
Bobby Dean is one of her two sons and is going to revamp her recipes to make them healthier for those who appreciate good food and family values. Bobby’s new show on the Food Network, “Not My Mama’s Meals” will begin this coming Wednesday. I am looking forward with great expectations that people will learn how to prepare great food with a healthy twist on Paula’s traditional recipes.
Bobby’s Cooking Channel TV Show: Not My Mama’s Meals
I have hoped for this to occur for quite some time. I have watched Jamie and Bobby come and go from the set where their mother cooks food that puts on the pounds and places the heart at risk for years. They have more recently been involved in the California Wine and Food scene and have grown up. The fellows appear to have continued respect and love for their mother while knowing that what they eat needs to be healthier. If Paula can be humble enough to understand the evolution of her family, then she may also benefit from what her son is going to offer through his new program.
Every generation has the opportunity to grow and learn from the ones preceding it. Bobby may prove to be evidence of such growth and progress… Paula should not be ashamed nor disappointed that Bobby feels the urge to revamp her recipes for health’s sake. She should relish in relief that her family relationships will be nurtured and nourished with good food and longer life.
You can find the schedule for Bobby’s TV show on The Food Network’s two sites for this coming week. Let me know how impressed you are with the refinements and revisions!
Good for you, Bobby! I commend you and your effort in this regard. I can only hope for Paula and the rest of your family to fully comprehend that this is a labor of love and goodwill for one and all. When families can strengthen one another and improve one another, there is Life and Love!

Dr. Oz fell short today as he tried to placate a family with a race between time mood, and healthy food.
He compromised while he gave the parents and children some alternatives that he thought they would find acceptable. It was a ‘hard sell’ for the doctor when it came to making the kids happy. But they did surprise him a little when they agreed to eat veggie burgers and try some other foods that they never would make their first choice.
Dr. Oz and 100 Things on Your Food List
The parents need a few lessons in empowerment and time-management. They need to change their busy schedules to better serve the members of their family before their choices take a toll on their health.
I wouldn’t ever let my children dictate what or what not I purchased and prepared for the family. The parent has to lead by example, instead of caving into the noise of picky eaters. Let those kids be hungry with only healthy food in front of them or in the fridge until they understand the value of the lesson that is being thrust upon them.
I cannot go along with the Shopping List that Dr. Oz gives to this family and his idea of ‘average’ families across the country. Let’s hope that eating these processed or frozen or canned foods is NOT the norm, nor considered ‘average’. It would be a shame…
Dr. Oz has no genuine understanding about healthy food when it comes to much of this List. He needs a nutrition refresher course… He also needs to learn how to discipline children when it comes to making intelligent food choices. The family unit needs to share power to make decisions that are healthy for the family, rather than allowing the kids to make power plays to control the parents who comply for some semblance of ‘getting through the day’…
It’s inappropriate to compromise on the quality of food instead of changing other Lifestyle behaviors and choices. The dinner meal should be prepared after the hubby comes home when he can help his wife with the children and the kitchen duties. The kids should be pitching in, too. They can learn some basic food preparation techniques, set the table, serve the family, and help with the shopping and the dishes. The mother needs to put her foot down and get some support for all of the chores. This family needs to change their priorities for their Lifestyles, rather than adhering to the limitations of the Dr. Oz 100 Item Food List.

Dr. Oz might see that the women who are using HGH to change their medical problems, but he is missing the bigger picture.
He said that this is one massive experiment. While that might be true, it’s also true for all of the drugs and pharmaceuticals that doctors prescribe for patients every day. It’s the same and people are taking matters into their own hands.
Most doctors think that they are the only ones who can authoritatively make an intelligent choice when it comes to the use of any substance for medical or health reasons. But the public is rapidly narrowing the gap and learning enough to be resourceful and find out what they need to know for themselves without a doctor’s consent or approval.
The women who were being interviewed by Dr. Oz were all feeling much better while taking their HGH and did not buy in to the attempt to instill fear that the doctor toyed with on today’s episode of Dr. Oz. They are confident that they are better with the HGH than without it. The doctor’s warnings fell on deaf ears. They know the risks, but they also know the benefits that they are experiencing.
Dr. Oz and HGH: What are the Risks and Benefits
While Dr. Oz offered the suggestion of eating two tablespoons of Nut Butter to ensure that you are getting enough protein daily, he failed to really tell his audience what natural solutions could help to balance hormone levels in the human body. He mentioned l-argenine, but didn’t go into any great detail. It’s a slippery slope when you play around with things you don’t fully understand. Even wearing those cold discs over one’s eyes at night is not a good idea! Although wearing a comfortable eye mask to block the light has been shown to increase the production of melatonin while sleeping in a dark environment.
If you want to buy some Nut Butter which will give you much more than just protein, then consider buying your Butter from a company that ensures the freshness and carries only the best:
My general rule of thumb is to avoid using a substance that is intended to replace what your body is no longer producing. It will never regain the ability this way. You need to supply your body with the building blocks so that it can begin to produce its own hormones again.
If I were you looking for a viable solution to balancing one’s hormone levels, I would venture into the territory for TCM herbal formulations that have hundreds of years of proof standing behind them. We’ve given you the heads-up on these before and still do so today. You are more important than being a guinea pig for anyone…
If I were you wondering what Dr. Oz meant by ‘one massive experiment’ and you are currently taking ANY pharmaceutical, then I would ask more questions of your physician or health care providers. They don’t mind experimenting on you… But it is far more important that you know all there is to know about any substance or drug that you put into your body!
