Dr. Oz described several of the most common types of Cancer and shared symptoms. Then he brought out his guest expert to divulge the nutrients that he believes will help the most with prevention.
Dr. Oz and Reliance Upon Nutrition for Prevention
The nutritional information is given later in the article on the website. The first part of the article deals with symptoms and presentation of types of cancer.
This fellow began with Inositol, then went on to mention Selenium, Black Raspberries, and vitamin D3…all to be taken as supplements to a healthy diet.
Dr. Oz had never heard of ‘Black Raspberries’ and the expert described the way the berry is harvested and freeze-dried into tablets.
If you have difficulty finding freeze-dried ‘black raspberry supplements, try going to your local Whole Foods Market and they can order it for you, if they don’t have it on the shelves.
However, the astute individual will prefer to eat raspberries and other whole food sources to maintain a healthy lifestyle which is the best prevention of all.
He indicated that it would take a lot of fresh fruit to equal that in the supplements. This should be your first signal for ‘caution’.
Unless you are actively fighting a disease process, it is generally unwise to consume that much of any one substance. It demands too much of your body and often throws it out of Balance. Everything in moderation is the golden rule…
Whole Food sources and sunlight provides these nutrients, so the amount that actually needs to be supplemental pertains to each individual separately and needs evaluation to ensure proper quantities for efficacy.

Most of the Dr. Oz show today was dedicated to exercise and fitness to lose weight and tone the body or hide it with clothing or make-up.
That’s not going to sustain you for the rest of your Life…
But the Trainer is sharing his workout with you here:
Dr. Oz and Shaun T. the Trainer’s 15 Minute Workout
The Trainer had one point that was memorable and that was to love your body as it is while you work to change it.
Dr. Oz mentioned carnosine and here is a comprehensive source of both carnosine and enzymes:
Source of Carnosine and Enzymes
Dr. Oz got to the end of the hour before talking about the health benefits of Papaya.
He mentioned the value of the enzymes in this tropical fruit from Paradise. He suggested combining papaya with avocado to make a salad. You’ll have to do a search on his website to find this information…
Dried Papaya is great to nibble on as a snack or dice into granola or a nut blend. Papaya juice or puree is fantastic to drink before a meal or to support the digestion of heavy foods.
A fresh Paradise Fruit Salad made from papaya, pineapple, banana, kiwi, coconut, mango, guava, and citrus fruits is extremely delicious and satisfying.
If you find that you suffer from any gastric distress from processed, foods rich in protein, or fatty foods, next time have some Papaya and see what happens…

I was expecting Dr. Oz to devote the day to either sex or chocolate, but he spent the hour discussing questions and answers that most people consider to be awkward.
Some of the questions were basic and had to do with embarrassing bodily functions like gas, poop, and odor. But then there were the bizarre questions, too!
Dr. Oz and Awkward Questions
Dr. Oz had all of his answers prepared, so there were no real surprises.
There was some joking and poking fun at things that happen to the human body…
Dr. Oz still is using extracts, instead of Essential Oils; but he’s getting there.
You can eliminate smells in any room by diffusing Essential Oils or using a negative ion generator/purifier. One of these days, Dr. Oz will invite a real Aromatherapist to discuss this on his show! I await that day patiently…
Dr. Oz did manage to sneak in sexually-oriented questions. He also tried to sell his solutions with the enticement of weight loss.
At least he’s good with a knife and can peel an orange, even though he doesn’t know about ‘zest’…

Dr. Oz devoted the hour to energy-boosting ideas today. Some are good ideas and some are fairly healthy.
Kim Chi or Sauerkraut or any fermented food was correctly identified by the guest expert. Other ideas like thrown around as if people are drowning in a sea of fatigue…
I would suggest to you that you find lasting and more enduring methods for restoring Balance to the bio-energetic systems of your body. Tai Chi and even the act of using ‘Circling Palms’ daily will do more for you than the tricks that Oz tries to offer with his medical wizardry behind the curtain.
The true Path to having genuine Vitality is through living a healthy Lifestyle. Energy resources will be readily available to you constantly, rather than having to resort to ‘boosting’ energy from outside the body. But that’s all that trainers and doctors seem to know…
Dr. Oz and Energy Booster Hour
While there are a few good Lifestyle ideas like sleeping well and eating in the morning, taking a cold shower and using dairy products in your coffee are terrible ideas. Nut butters are fine, but not just before bedtime! Yerba Mate tea is to be used in moderation, not as an excuse to get a ‘buzz’ on.
Cassia is the type of cinnamon bark that is warming and healing for the body. other kinds of cinnamon can be used as spices to flavor your food. Use cinnamon with clove, nutmeg, and ginger which are all warming spices. I do agree with the idea of using stevia to sweeten foods and beverages; but don’t dismiss honey, agave syrup, brown rice syrup, date sugar, or organic cane sugar.
Leave it to Oz to allow his guest expert to recommend ‘devices’ for increasing pleasure for sexual boosters! While Maca Root can be used for a short-term result, it’s important to rebuild your inner energy, instead of using gadgets. When you are willing to deplete yourself for the sake of sex, you have a much deeper issue than seeking energy…
Chef Art Smith shared a good breakfast menu with granola, fresh fruit, and yogurt; a veggie frittata; and a whole grain dish with Dr. Oz who stirred the pot. Art has lost 100 pounds over three years by eating healthier foods, opening an Italian restaurant, and is now off his diabetes medication. Thumbs up on food as medicine!

Long ago I asked that I be given organic chocolates for Valentine’s Day, instead of the usual candy or flowers. I wouldn’t eat the traditional box of chocolates, because they were not demonstrative of Love for the health of my body with refined sugar, artificial flavorings, preservatives, and lousy chocolate.
But now there are thousands of fantastic companies who are making organic and free trade chocolates, so options exist to find a gift that denotes a deeper Love…
First of all…support your local business that makes delectable sweets. If none exist, you can find laces on the Net that will deliver delicious chocolates to your door.
This year and from now on…give the truly valuable gift of health in food and all you do for those you love and appreciate.

I have watched a few episodes of the new show on ABC called The Revolution which was hailed as being fantastic; but I am sadly disappointed…
The ‘content’ is not fresh!
The information is weathered, inconsistent, and shaky at best. I expected more from so-called experts in their fields. It may have been pertinent years ago, but it is no longer reflecting the ‘current’ progressive ‘Thought’ at the leading edge.
The panel are nice people…granted. They have been on other TV shows. Yet here, it just doesn’t fit.
The Revolution
For instance, Harley was trying his best to help with making pizza. He floundered and utterly failed to deliver a suitable pizza…and it’s hard to screw up a pizza with three basic ingredients!
Whole Wheat tortillas are out and gluten-free pizza crust is in these days. Dice the tomatoes instead of using slices, put roasted garlic, organic oregano, and onions in the tomato sauce for great flavor and nutrients for kids. And how do you get 3/2 cup of mozzarella cheese in a recipe…do the math? Is that one and a half cups of cheese or should it be 2/3 of a cup?
I suggest that you slice some fresh mozzarella and rear it in strands with your hands to drape the pizza evenly. A little more Basil and a drizzle of olive oil would grace the healthy pizza if any of us had a hand in making it…along with some mushrooms, roasted red peppers, and artichokes for good measure.
The Revolution panel need to bring in Food Network talent should they try to cook on another episode. Harley doesn’t do real salads or real pizza in a meaningful way…
I am a little tired of being a critic when there’s so much useful information to share with you; but sometimes I just have to draw attention to topics that influence millions of people through television. You need to know when you are being programmed in the de-evolving direction.
The two women were giving advice about providing information to young children that adults consider to be ‘bad news’. They both agreed it needed to be age-appropriate which is fine, yet so much depends on the conscious awareness of each child which differs widely
When I was twelve, my parents, caregivers, and teachers tried to protect me from learning that my Mother was going to die from cancer. I knew something was seriously wrong, but honesty escaped adults that I had trusted until that point. I wanted the truth…all of the truth. Had I known the severity of my mom’s condition, I would have spent more time with her at the end of her Life to comfort both of us as we made our way through this stage of Life’s passage. I was shielded from an experience that I would have welcomed to be allowed to give my Mom as much love and care as possible before she died.
Years later I had profound dreams that my Father was dying, so I went home to see denial operating still. I prepared my siblings for his death and walked others through the loss with the fortitude of a pioneer in the wilderness who needed to build a bridge across the river of death for those too afraid of the unknown to take the first step. Life experiences can make an individual strong and resilient when you choose that path…
Back to food and fashion and personal growth on TV for a minute. Chart your own course and never let an expert make choices for you. It’s one thing to listen to advice and ideas, but in the end no one else is truly living your Life for you. You walk as a unique ‘you’, instead of a carbon-copy of someone’s formula for food or fashion or attitude.

Andrew Weil made his third appearance on the stage with Dr. Oz and behaved like a doctor prescribing nutritional supplements as if they were drugs. Stupid and irresponsible…if you ask me!
This medical mentality has no place in our world of nutritional support, because it lulls people into complacency and false hopes. It gives the industry a bad name…but it’s the drugged doctors that need to change their mindset.
At least Dr. Andrew has begun his journey into the kitchen on his path to a healthy Lifestyle.
Weil prepared a pasta dish with Oz, but they clearly both have a lot to learn about food preparation. The sauce needed to be thoroughly heated before adding the pasta. At least there was fresh Basil… Cooks usually grate the parmesan over the pasta, instead of slapping a single spoonful in the center of the dish.
Dr. Weil could get most of the nutrients from whole foods, instead of taking a basketful of supplements every day. Niacin is best derived from whole grains and other food sources, instead of placing a person under a doctor’s supervision for this single vitamin. Such arrogance…
Anyway, later in the show, Dr. Oz displayed his shallow understanding of whole foods yet again by failing to have that audience member dip her seaweed crispy chip into a dip rather than eating it alone. Then Oz tried to sell the woman on a measly slice of bread spread with some plain almond butter…how boring and unappetizing was that! He needs to spend more time in the kitchen with Lisa and Daphne

Montel Williams was back on stage with Dr. Oz to talk about his progress in improving his health and ‘living’ again.
Montel had been told by one doctor that he would only get worse and be confined to a wheel chair at some point as his disease progressed…
Montel decided that it was better for him to prepare to ‘live’ instead of preparing to ‘die’.
Dr. Oz and Montel Williams: A Fountain of Youth and Freedom From Pain
Montel has been following a special routine for the past four years and revved it up over the last few months. He continues to see progress and is in better shape now than ever before.
Montel’s Super Energy Smoothie Recipe
He juices in the morning. He massages his body’s muscles. He drinks a green drink in the afternoon. He eats enough garlic to be adopted by an Italian family. He takes an injection of B12. He drinks tea with Hops and three Adaptogenic herbs daily.
One of the Adaptogens is from Ayurveda, another from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the third was researched extensively by Russian scientists. While I will not recommend that they be taken separately, they are excellent when they are indicated for an individual’s restoration of Balance to the bio-energetic systems of the human being.
These herbs are almost always combined in formulas to meet the needs of an individual, so seek the advice from a professional. In the interim, you can avail yourselves of BrainToniq which is one of the best ‘think drinks’ for functional beverages on the market and in the stores.
Dr. Oz also issued a good reminder to take a comprehensive vitamin B complex…not just B2 alone. I have cautioned you about this on many occasions in the past. B12 is ideally absorbed when delivered in sub-lingual pellets that melt under your tongue. You don’t need to use a syringe…
Ming Tsai appeared with Dr. Oz to prepare a Mushroom Soup with organic tamari and great ingredients. It’s wonderful to see the doctor learn more about ‘food as medicine’ from knowledgeable chefs. Many mushrooms are identified as Adaptogens in Traditional Chinese medicine. Soup is so much better than supplementation…
SimplyMing
Later in the hour Dr. Oz recommended that the audience take colloidal silver to deal with a cold. No…no…and never no! Use only Ionic Silver…do not go near colloidal silver if you value your health! GSE will do as much or more for you for this application.
Montel also discussed ways that he is using to reduce pain by dealing with inflammation. It’s one thing to regain your youth, but in order to enjoy Life, you will want to be free from pain.
I like the idea of copper-infused articles of clothing. I have only used wristbands and bracelets, but Montel seems to think the shirt makes a difference for him. He is on the path…and now can be an advocate to expand your horizons to more fresh organic juices and a healthy Lifestyle.

Dr. Oz asks how effective hypnosis can be for weight loss.
Dr. Oz and Hypnosis for Weight Loss
How well can you reprogram your Subconscious Mind?
How open to post-hypnotic suggestions from an expert are you?
That’s how effective this method will be for any individual.
This guy is too much of a drama queen for me, but hypnosis is a proven system in my circles. It has no place on TV with a huge audience of susceptible people who trust imbeciles… Each individual needs their own program for Change.
My father taught me to use a technique to induce this altered state of Consciousness when I was around ten years old. I use “The List” technique for myself which was designed by Ramtha.
For those of you who want a simple way to use the power of your Subconscious Mind for weight management or any other purpose, The MindMint has hundreds of audio tapes for you to choose from which are professionally-prepared by real experts in this field.
Progressive Awareness: The MindMint Collections
By the way, the goal is to restore Balance to the body’s metabolic processes for the health of the person, not to use hypnosis for entertainment, duplicating surgical procedures, or any other artificial objective that borders on the abuse of the power of the human Mind.

Today was a tricky day for the doctors. They talked about the relative importance of hormones in disease and in health.
But there was a huge problem…
Dr. Travis insinuated that the nutritional supplement industry is not ‘regulated’ like the pharmaceutical industry, so it’s not safe to use ‘over-the-counter’ products for building muscle as an athlete or body-builder. Nonsense!
TheDoctorsTV and Hormones
Dr. Travis and far too many of his medical cohorts think that the FDA is godlike when it is a fallible organization often influenced more by money than safety. He’s naieve…to say the least…to think that writing a prescription for a drug is ‘safe’ for someone’s health. There are so many law suits in progress that challenges his belief system, it’s nauseating!
Just because a drug meets the standards of the FDA, doesn’t guarantee its efficacy nor its safety for a person’s health. This is where we find it disturbing that so many doctors are oblivious or choose to ignore the dangers of pharmaceuticals.
Many of us switched to natural health care long ago with companies, advocacy groups, and industry giants that do provide oversight and management for safety and purity. The FDA regulates nutritional supplement companies’ claims and statements all the time. Most of the labs that produce supplements perform above and beyond accepted pharmaceutical standards. When will the doctors get this through their heads?
It’s the FTC and other governmental agencies that miss some of those dangerous products that enter the country from China and other ‘unregulated’ countries that present the problem.
Dr. Lisa did an inadequate job of describing ‘natural’ vs ‘synthetic’ hormone replacement products. She mentioned soy and wild yam, but conveniently forgot to tell you about horse urine in synthesized drugs. Why haven’t doctors sought out the wisdom of TCM and the use of herbal formulations to restore Balance in the Endocrine System? Because they would rather use drugs to manipulate hormones, instead of restoring Balance. it keeps them in business…
The only valuable contribution today was the ‘ear buds’…
Even that Sleep Smoothie is simply not going to replace the effort you make to keep your bedroom dark with a sleep mask or a way to keep the light out, so your pineal gland can produce Melatonin to give you a restful, dream-filled sleep.
