The doctors on TheDoctorsTV discussed which doctor is right for addressing different medical condition.
Dr. oz discussed which view is right in a doctor’s approach to weight loss and the consumption of carbs.
How do you sort through all of the doctors, their specialties, and their approaches to health care?
Who do you listen to?
First of all, listen to yourself.
Then seek out someone who knows the most about the area of expertise that concerns your condition or interest.
TheDoctorsTV and Picking the Best Doctor for You
This may become a long search! You may go through dozens of doctors, healers, clinics, tests, and types of approaches – both from the East and the West.
If the care you get works for you, then stick with it; but don’t settle for anything that feels incomplete or inappropriate.
The doctors will occasionally make referrals to specialists in different fields, but what modern medicine needs is to begin to work in Teams. As a Team, the variety of professionals will cover more territory and you as the patient will receive better care.
But be wary of doctors on TV, especially when they run out of normal topics to fill their hour on TV. When Dr. Oz brought on a Mixologist with booze and healthy ingredients, you know he has gone a little too far.
Dr. Oz and Cocktails
Dr. oz is sending you to the wrong person for anti-aging recipes! The Mixologist is for people looking for excuses to drink alcohol. Those who have a genuine interest in reversing the aging process must go to an Acupuncturist and specialist in herbs and whole foods.
Many doctors can be territorial. Leave them behind you. Work with those who welcome a Team approach to caring for the ‘Whole Being’ in body, mind, and spirit.

Dr. Oz went to the other end of the spectrum today to discuss Anorexia. The images were graphic and heart-wrenching.
It creeps me out that the guy with the website would justify his presence which draws those who want the pro-ana experience…as if there is a positive aspect to this mentally-disabled condition. If only there was an ISP with balls to forbid this type of site online, it would help some of these desperate people find alternatives to encouragement.
Awhile ago. Dr. Oz featured the story about the Feeders and this show represents the medical issues on the far end of the weight debate. Instead of over-indulgence and eating oneself to death, these folks are starving themselves to death.
Dr. Oz and Anorexia
My step-sister had an experience with Anorexia and I attributed it to her need to demonstrate power over her wicked mother who had orchestrated every part of her life. The underlying causes need to be addressed in Therapy with professionals, not on a website.
Gaunt, pale, and staring death in the eyes, these people are only living a tragic existence….distancing themselves from Life. There must be a Will to live, to change one’s mind, and to recreate a healthy relationship with Self and food.
Perhaps Dr. Oz can reach them before it’s too late. Ultimately, they must do this for themselves and find a way to nurture life, rather than court Death.
It would behoove them to listen to subliminal audio tapes to begin to re-program the mind to rescue the body.

Whether it is potatoes, peppers, greens, or any other produce grown in the soil; it’s important to buy organic, instead of commercial brands from contaminated soils.
Dr. Oz and Organic Foods
Contamination from agricultural chemicals and bad irrigation water will leach into produce and cause health problems in your body. GMO seeds are also the ‘kiss of death’ for humans and Walmart is poised to begin to bring corn to the market without labeling it for the end consumer.
Doctors still have this belief that organic foods cost more, but we’ve dispelled that myth. I would rather eat less food, but make it all organic than eat anything that is questionable.
For example, the brown rice syrup that has some arsenic that is found in the soil or the water or the fertilizer can be harmful, if it’s in the diatomic molecular state. Don’t buy those products… Use your common sense and learn where and how your food is grown!
There are numerous organic sweeteners which are safe and healthy. There are many growers who take extra precautions to ensure that their organic produce is as good as it can possibly be from the seed to the soil to the table.
Then there are commercial growers who are trying to take advantage of the trend toward organics and cheat in the production of food in ways to get around regulators and ignorant consumers. This happened with the term, “natural”, years ago and now it is prevalent with labeling organic items when in truth they are not.
This is why it is important to buy from local and known sources. You can visit the farm, the fields, and see for yourself that the quality of the operations meet your standards.

The toxic heavy metal, lead, is found in many things that are worn or consumed. But who would have guessed that you would find lead in lipstick?
Commercial brands just can’t be trusted to not contain substances that are harmful to the health of the human body. The manufacturers should know better… But they apparently don’t care about your health, only your appearance of beauty until it fades away.
FDA Analysis of 400 Brands of Lipstick for Lead
Every time you lick your lips with lipstick on, you are engaging in the process of killing your cells – one by one – as they come into contact with the molecules of lead. since your body has no innate way to eliminate the heavy metals, they continue to damage cells until your body deteriorates and dies.
Even when you kiss someone who is wearing lipstick or eat food when wearing lipstick, it gets into the body. Guidelines or not, it’s toxic!
Either you must stop wearing lipstick or find products without lead or other toxic chemicals in the tube. Then you need to do a detox for what is still in your system…

On Friday after The Oscars fashion icon, Gwyneth Paltrow, was finished with the white cape and drinks at the party with her ‘power pals’ in the movie industry, she settled into The Chew kitchen with her ‘pasta pal’ Mario to make a couple of her favorite dishes.
Gwyneth eats at Mario’s restaurant and loves the chestnut crepes. Mario taught her how to make them. She shared one of her family’s chicken recipes, too, along with her Dad’s pancake recipe. She was into almond milk and healthier foods long before her pals who now think it fashionable.
The Chew and Love at First Bite
Everyone shared their “Love at First Bite” meals that took them from Barcelona to the fancy places in America that served memorable food.
I fell in love with good food in my Mother’s kitchen when I was three and held the paper bag with powdered sugar for the zeppole (donut holes) that she loved to make for us. I got to do the shaking and it was fun!
I remember my hot oatmeal with fresh berries and honey with a creamer in the shape of a jersey cow to dispense the milk into my hot cereal. I remember the lessons of how to twirl a spoon to get a small bite of pasta politely without slurping or flying sauce!
Michael Symon also fell in love with food and cooking at home with real meals made by grandmas and parents.
Clinton tasted Lobster Thermador and wanted to be as ‘fancy’ as his food. Daphne and Carla were traveling when they encountered their first favorite bites and fell in love with goof food.
Mario also had strong family ties to food and it has shaped the course of his career as it has the rest of The Chew’s crew. Daphne stuffed dates and has more in common with her Mother in the kitchen than in the operating room with her Father.
Food changes and molds us…we are better people when our food is better. We are building stronger bonds when we share the food we love with others!

The moment Dr. Oz told his audience to take Guarana for energy, he lost all credibility!
He’s a lunatic on the fringe of medicine and is poorly informed if he thinks that this advice is reasonable.
He also told one woman to drink tea in the morning and save her coffee for later in the day…
Dr. Oz Loses Credibility When Recommending Guarana
Caffeine is caffeine is caffeine is still a stimulant whether in tea or coffee or soda AND it doesn’t take a genius to realize that the lady is deficient, needing nourishing herbs and foods – not more caffeine. Dr. Oz can be clueless in these matters.
I shudder to think that people believe every word that is coming from this physician about health when he is wrong and dangerously so. He went on to give bad advice about Cordyceps and single amino acids again, too! Some regulatory agency needs to yank his license.
He’s giving holistic healing a bad name. I do not think he will be able to redeem himself without a lot of further education and reflection.
He doesn’t even know how to use a slow cooker in the kitchen which is one of the easiest pieces of equipment to use to let food prepare itself.
He doesn’t have a clue about breath and the movement of energy in the human body and bio-energetic field. He mimics Deepok with no training or experience in the practices. It’s regrettable.
He should stick with physiology and pathology and quit trying to pretend to be an expert in health and wellness. He can bring on qualified guests instead…
The only rational moment he had today was to tell one woman to turn off her cell phone at night to get a better night’s rest. You would be far better off to throw away your cell phone forever and use land lines and face-to-face communication.
But is that asking too much? Then wear your CieAura wristband and Holographic Chips to protect you or get a Teslar Watch.

In case you missed it, the Dr. Oz show audience is primarily composed of women. They hug him and take his advice to heart.
So much so that they constantly talk to their husbands about the ideas and suggestions that pertain to men. The men are sick and tired of hearing about Dr. Oz.
One doctor, an optometrist, from our area, decided to take matters into his own hands and created a website called ‘ihatedroz’. He is able to diffuse his frustrations over his wife’s incessant counsel on his blog. does that sound vaguely familiar?
I don’t hate the doctor, I just think that you have to weigh what he says with a grain of salt before you make sweeping changes by following his advice. And I am a woman…not easily sold by his handsome face and arched eyebrows!
Dr. Todd Jones met Dr. Oz along with many other men who have heard enough of him to float their boats….or “blow a gasket” as the TV doctor describes on today’s show.
He shows no signs of toning down his mission or message to suit these men, because he’s doing what he does for their better medical care in his opinion.
The wives are the ones who will most likely bite their tongues and keep their thoughts to themselves out of respect for their husbands’ opinions. But they can cook and shop and do things around the house to implement what they feel strongly about for health’s sake without too much male protest.
Dr. Oz and the men Who Hate His Advice
One good idea that came from the hour for couples was to massage hands with olive oil and tarragon. i would suggest that you add a drop or two of the Essential Oil of tarragon or marjoram to the oil, instead of the herb itself.

This was a stellar day for Dr. Oz. he finally approached two ancient healing systems which are more effective than western medicine when it comes to Health and Wellness.
With the discussion of Ayurvedic Medicine, Dr. Oz seemed especially curious about his body type – Pitta. All three Doshas were described along with the qualities and imbalances that are most common.
Your Body Type Explained as One of Three Doshas
The audience members were able to relate to this information and recognized themselves and their health issues. Remedies and solutions were shared with a few examples in the limited time available. I hope many more episodes will be devoted to this topic.
You can find the formulations and products that were given from this reputable online apothecary for Ayurvedic Medicine.
Ayurvedic Herbs Direct
Dr. Oz went on to talk about Acupuncture and TCM – traditional Chinese Medicine. He was needled and surprised that it was painless. He’s used to western medical syringes with large needles that dispense drugs, not the slender needles used in Acupuncture.
The audience was also pleased with their own treatments. Sore neck and back muscles were the subject of the Demo and the woman experienced immediate relief from pain during the segment.
Next viewers got to watch my favorite method of treatment – Auricular Therapy. The Acupuncturist used real gold pellets to treat knee pain by inserting the studs in the ear points that correspond to that part of the body. This method is also exceptionally effective, much to the surprise of Dr. Oz.
Chinese Herbs Direct – Hundreds of Chinese herbal remedies, formulas and teas for a variety of health conditions.
Dr. oz strangely gave a caveat at the end of the segment for the sake of his fellow Western Medical constituents that worry needlessly about anything other than what they learned in medical school – as shallow practitioners, instead of true healers.
I am telling you this for your own good! Most of the MDs who have ventured into Acupuncture have only taken a weekend course and are hardly qualified to be considered skilled or competent. Go to a real professional in either Acupuncture and TCM or Ayurvedic Medicine.

It was a bit of a bizarre episode today…
Whether you consider yourself to be normal or think you might be nuts, it’s usually an opinion more than a fact.
You have an inherent right to your quirks when they are realistic and explainable. it’s the stuff that evades description that you need to question…
Normal parameters in any society are reflective of that specific culture. Inevitably, it varies.
Then there is the abnormal. For instance, the common occurrence of parasites in this country that escapes most people’s attention.
You decide!

It was a relief to listen to both TV shows today, especially due to the topic of discussion – food.
TheDoctorsTV physicians revealed their research into the toxic nature of chemicals in the food supply and then talked about healthy foods.
TheDoctorsTV and What’s In Your Food
They even have grasped the concept that in the long run, it is cost-effective to buy and eat healthy foods that are locally-sourced and organic. The high cost of degenerative diseases from eating chemical-laden processed foods is infinitely more expensive and the cost is often your life.
There is now such a variety of whole foods and healthy choices that are fairly priced that cost is not going to be an issue anymore. The difference between a bottle of soy sauce made from artificial ingredients compared to a bottle of organic San J tamari is insignificant; but the health benefits and the flavor is so much better for you.
It’s becoming obvious to doctors that food plays a more significant role i healthcare than they ever imagined… Even Dr. Lisa carefully got on board this train!
Dr. Oz and Food Myths
Dr. Oz introduced rice bran oil to replace other oils today. He also dispelled a few food myths, the best of which was about caloric intake.
While Dr. Oz was lost in the 1980’s with bee pollen, yeast, and nettle tea, he finally mentioned sea vegetables, purslane, jicama, the ugli citrus fruit, and black garlic. He has a long way to go, but he’s on the right track.
He did a segment on pasta and condiments. A smaller portion of pasta the amount of which fits in the circle of your hand when you join the first finger with the tip of the thumb was a useful visual model of portion control. He really needs mario Batali to explain about the amount of gravy and condiment to blend with a pasta dish. The way you use aged cheeses and vegetables can add to the health of the pasta dish. Salads, greens, and side dishes round out the healthy meal. Too many people eat only a bowl of pasta…
Food is at the heart of a healthy Lifestyle when it’s Whole Foods. The doctors are finally getting the picture!
