Oprah on Dr. Oz: The Fresh Start for the New Year to Transform Your Life
Dr. Oz had to be so pleased to welcome Oprah to his show today. She spent some time explaining how she felt after leaving her daytime TV show after 25 years and starting her OWN Network which has become a major undertaking. She features Dr. Oz on this month’s issue of the O magazine with an article of a 28 Day Plan for a Fresh Start.
Dr. Oz and Oprah: The Fresh Start to Transform Your Life
Oprah described her ‘Next Chapter’ for her Life as one of interviewing real people and learning more about how they face their challenges to grow into the kind of person they choose to be. She talked about the power of ‘intention’ and her dedication to finding out what and why she does what she does for herself…not for anyone else.
Oprah seemed conflicted about her OWN Network and the feedback that people have given her about her choices to pursue this direction. Personally, I have no interest in the programming and it doesn’t attract people who are ‘healthy’ and ‘balanced’. It deals with emotional cripples and sad stories that just are so old and boring that they have no place in the lives of those who are marching forward for the BEST in their lives and the lives of those who they admire and love.
Although Oprah described her visit to the TM community and talked about how her staff has changed since they began to meditate twice a day at work, she got lost in the process. She even got excited about Fire Walking, but failed to realize the deeper value of the experience that you create your Reality which is what JZ and Ramtha have tried to impart to audiences and individuals for more than 30 years.
Ramtha spoke this year about Oprah’s attitude toward JZ. Oprah needs to deal with her jealously and envy. There is room in this world for plenty of wonderful people to assist their fellow men and women in their spiritual growth and unfoldment. The day that Oprah clears her conflicted attitude toward JZ and the Ram will be the day that she gets her own ‘Fresh Start’!
Dr. Oz shares his Fresh Start ideas that you can apply over the course of 28 days. This gives you enough time to adjust to the difference between the old habitual patterns of your day and the incorporation of new behaviors and choices that nourish Body, Mind, and Spirit.
Dr. Oz offered some Black Tea samples, some foods to cook to heal the heart, and had an audience member try out the tastes of these examples that are integrated in his 28 Day Plan. A Raw Food diet will do more for preventing or reversing Diabetes than a couple cups of Black Tea a day. Dr. Oz needs to temper his recommendations with additional information that include a more balanced and comprehensive approach to Wellness, instead of those single substance quick fixes he and other doctors offer. Remember it’s a ‘healthy Lifestyle’ and not just some tea here and some salmon there and some intent here and there…
He managed to surprise me by suggesting Chai Tea. The old standard of Darjeeling and Earl Grey are by most standards drab and boring to those of us who have taken Tea to the next level for decades. Eventually, Dr. Oz and other mainstream individuals will catch on, explore, and discover the wealth in the wide world of Teas… What do you know of White Teas and Green Teas? Seek out the real experts and gain the knowledge that goes beyond the benefits that Dr. Oz mentions!
The tomatoes, the salmon, the lima beans, and the garlic were all combined into one dish for heart health. Who in the world like lima beans unless they are seasoned and flavored with spices and herbs properly? People need to quit eating bland food and learn how to cook with flair, flavor, and healthy spices and herbs.
Dr. Oz also demonstrated how to add garlic salt to popcorn as a healthy snack. But he needs to take some cooking and food preparation lessons from Lisa and Daphne. If he was smarter, he would have put the healthy oil and the garlic salt into the paper bag, shaken it vigorously, and then poured the popcorn into a bowl. The way he did it, you would have the garlic salt on the top kernals only and beneath those, it would be naked…
At least one member of the Oz family knows their way around the kitchen. I hope that you’re watching The Chew with Daphne Oz who incorporates health and great-tasting food.
Daphne shared the recipe for a healthy Eggnog and a frozen fruit sorbet made with rice milk. She is light years ahead of her father in the kitchen. But at least today he showed people how to cook something for the health of their hearts! He could have also told you to use grass-fed beef and exotic meats without all of that fat from the stockyards. He could have shared about twenty more powerful foods for the heart, but he can only do three at a time given the limitations on his time and approach. I hope that he employs some of his ideas for transforming his show with a Fresh Start by spending more time helping people in the kitchens.
