Flax, Mam…Just the Flax

Mam…and everyone else…it is a fact that Flax Seed is a superior source of EFAs. It is of great interest to note that the body uses an array of EFAs from a variety of foods, like seeds and nuts, salmon, dairy foods, and meat. I prefer to get my EFAs from Flax Seed, especially after the fundamental research from Germany showed its value in maintaining good health and preventing cancer and other diseases.

If you are not a pro in making good-tasting salad dressings and muffins and other foods using Flax Seed; then the only supplement I trust is Barlean’s. I do know that there is a big difference in the quality of oils, so go with Barlean’s.

The other supplement that is almost as good as a beautiful piece of Salmon with a squeeze of lemon juice cooked on a cedar plank with olive oil is Coromega. It has the texture of a thick pudding and a pleasant orange flavor.

If you have a difficult time finding it in your local health food store or Coop, please check our resource section on our website to assist you in locating these excellent products.
