Dr. Oz Reveals Alternative Medicine Secrets and a Few of our Own

Dr. Oz brought three key figures in the Alternative Medical community onto today’s show. Most people will recognize these folks, although I had never seen the author of the book about the Cleanse before. We have supported many different methods of detoxification and cleansing, but I have yet to read this particular book.

The Whole Foods approach to health is solid and it is the foundation upon which you will build and rebuild your Well-Being. Changing what most people eat daily is not always so easy. Even those of you who intellectually know that you would be wise and prudent to always eat organic and natural whole foods find it to be a real challenge unless you have mastered your food preparation skills in the kitchen or employ a personal chef. There are some excellent cookbooks that will take you through the first steps to gourmet natural foods recipes. You have to start wherever you are at the moment and keep adding to your favorites and experiment with a variety of whole foods.

It’s one thing to talk ‘lentils, beans, whole grains, seeds, nuts, and plant-based protein’ meals and it’s quite another thing to implement this philosophy in the kitchen and when you go out to eat at a natural foods restaurant or to any social function. Forty years ago I had heard about sea vegetables and seaweed dishes, but until a friend showed me how to cook wakame, kombu, and make a handroll with nori after toasting it…did I actually begin to eat them daily.

If you can find an expert who is willing to walk you through all the aisles of the Whole Foods Market and explain all of the foods in each section to you while you learn to shop again; then that’s going to trim down your time line for your new learning curve. Go with the foods that you love the most and expand your interests from there… It’s a journey and a process that will last for the rest of your healthy life.

When you cruise through the bulk foods aisle, get a couple of ounces of a new nut that you’ve never tried before and get a taste test of a novel dried fruit that until now has been foreign to you. Explore, experiment, and entertain yourself while shopping! The wide variety of foods available these days is due to so many thousands of people who have worked tirelessly for four decades on your behalf to provide healthy foodstuffs for everyone who acts as if the quality of their food matters. When we started we were fairly restricted in our choices, but now there are hundreds of companies who are making great foods and beverages…in addition to the local farmers and growers who are making their organic produce available in the markets.

These three guests on Dr. Oz are only representative of hundreds of thousands of active participants in this healthy whole foods movement and those involved in a healthy Lifestyle. We are everywhere and we have been quite busy all of these years getting the show on the road for each and every one of us. We seem to be the most growth-oriented industry and this is only what we’ve accomplished after forty years of dedicated effort.

Fish Oil, Krill Oil, and other animal-based EFAs are most definitely not ‘sustainable’ due to current fishing practices in our oceans; yet these oils can be successfully included along with plant-based sources of Essential Fatty Acids like nuts, seeds, and whole foods like avocados. Krill Oil is relatively new on the scene, yet is still not as bio-available as the ‘whole fish’ from the deep waters where pollution is less of a problem. This process of Contemplation is far superior to Meditation, so venture here instead of spending time learning to meditate should you truly with to learn to change and improve the very foundation of your state of Well-Being. It goes far beyond the Law of Attraction and it is the very heart of the Ancient Schools of Wisdom. The Secret of Whole Foods is the most difficult for people who have been socially conditioned to eat fast food, processed food, restaurant food, and packaged snacks along with soda pop and sweet snacks. If you are among those who can’t resist the artificially-buttered overly-salted popcorn at the movies, then you may not possess the discipline that is needed to employ the twenty-one day Cleanse that was described on Dr. Oz.

You are going to be introduced to solid ideas for gradually changing your food and beverages choices to healthier selections. This is the preferable method for long-term changes that you develop into a healthy Lifestyle. However, if you have a disease or symptoms that are life-threatening right now; then your impetus to change is immediate and you can accomplish extraordinary changes overnight if you have the necessary motivation.
