Dr. Oz and the Discussion about Cancer and Prevention

Dr. Oz often discusses Cancer and the warning signs that you might see that requires a visit to your physician who can diagnose the condition, if it’s cancer or a benign mass. There’s a lot of talk about Prevention, but that’s NOT the same as Wellness and Optimal Health through a balanced Lifestyle! Not even close…

Look…doctors are trained to look for disease. When you fear that you will become a victim of a disease like cancer; then you increase the chances that you will develop cancer in your body due to your fear and your expectation. It’s a quantum physics thing…

If you heard Dr. Oz on today’s show; then you listened to him say that the incidence of lung cancer has become the most prevalent type of cancer for both men and women. As people of both sexes continue to breathe polluted air in cities that spew toxic chemicals into the atmosphere, is it any wonder that the statistics indicate a rise in lung cancer? So in addition to taking preventive measures that lessen your potential for cancer to invade your tissue, you can move to a rural area where the air is still fresh and no air pollution can contribute as a precursor to cancer of the lungs. If you smoke, then smoke organic tobacco or e-cigarettes, instead of the chemical-laden cigarettes, pipe tobacco, or chewing tobacco that has been proven to be carcinogenic. The pain of cancer does not compare with the pleasure of smoking while introducing toxins into your lungs and bloodstream.

You do support your body’s immune system when you eat a diet of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and other whole foods that we discuss with you all the time. However, if you don’t detox these rampant synthetic chemicals from your body regularly; then you are responsible for setting up the conditions that allow cancer to get a foothold in your body.

Cancer is easier to prevent than it is to treat…we think everyone agrees with that as long as the person is willing to take personal responsibility for their daily Lifestyle choices to get a good night’s sleep, some amount of exercise, and eat a whole foods plant-based diet. If you live in the right place, work in a healthy office environment, and enjoy an attitude that promotes well-being; then you are headed in the correct direction as far as prevention is concerned. Prevention is much more than going to the doctor every six months to get tests. Tests only detect what is present or not… True preventive behavior is what you DO daily that exhibits the value you place upon Wellness.

If you eat a lot of animal protein, consume dairy products, and drink milk that is commercially produced with hormones, antibiotics, and stockyard conditions; then your chances for getting cancer just went much higher than if you eat free-range beef, chicken, and other meats, eat seaweed and root vegetables, and choose organic produce that is sustainably grown without synthetic chemicals. If you garden and eat natural foods from your local CSA or Whole Foods Markets, then that contributes to improving your chances of never having to experience cancer. Your Lifestyle choices truly make a profound difference.

If you do get diagnosed with cancer, it doesn’t have to be an automatic death sentence. There are many traditional and alternative modalities that are successful in dealing with cancer. That will not be discussed on our Blog, but we will comment upon these resources in our Newsletter.

One more thing, please take this statement to heart…as it is one of the cornerstones of Wellness vs. Prevention. If you live your Life to the fullest, do everything to enrich your well-being, and love the people, places, events, and things in your daily Life; then you won’t be busy worrying about cancer, degenerative disease, sickness, or some fatal condition. The attitude with which you approach your daily Life when you choose Wellness will lead you to make healthy constructive decisions and lead you to engage in healthy behavior. You won’t sabotage yourself. You will never grace your beautiful body with the conditions that create cancer in a human body.

Eat well, sleep well, live well, and love yourself with your entire Being…
