Sometimes you just have to shake your head and allow some of these people to believe that they know why the things that they do work. The ladies look younger and yet they don’t completely understand how.
The green drink made on stage today contained pineapple, spinach, coconut water, lemon juice, ginger, and wheatgrass cubes. The woman was asked by Oz about the value of wheatgrass. She mistakenly said it was to cleanse and purify, but in reality the nutrients build the blood and fortify instead. The lemon detoxes to some extent, but the green drink ingredients are primarily going to be used by the body to build blood and deliver nutrients to cells.
Zucchini does not make a pasta, it might resemble noodles when you julienne into thin strips; but describing vegetable strands as a pasta is a mistake. Turmeric and mustard seed are warming, but not ‘fire-starters’. Chile varies wildly in terms of heat and thermogenic effect. Cooks know that the heat is found in the membranes and seeds.
Does this sound like nit-picking to you? Well, you do benefit from knowing why and how things work.
These are not quite secrets, but many of these ideas do have merit. Some may also be inaccurate to some extent… Be mindful.
The body must be nourished to regenerate and slow or reverse aging. Other Lifestyle factors from smoking to alcohol consumption all play a role. It’s a lot bigger than Oz suggests.
