Dr. Oz and Rocco DiSpirito: Healthy Lifestyles and Great Food Choices

Dr. Oz brought Rocco DiSpirito onto this show to talk about his personal choice to change his food intake, lose some weight, and begin to live a healthier Lifestyle. They began by talking about protein and portion control, fiber and vegetables, and a 4 ounce ladle which scoops out a reasonable volume of peas or any other food for a serving. Rocco also showed the audience a stir-fry seasoned with tamarind and mustard. The use of spices lends to the nutritional value, but really packs on the flavor for the food you eat when you embrace a healthy Lifestyle – avoiding or eliminating refined sugars, commercial salt, and excess fat.

It’s funny that the Prevention guest on TheDoctorsTV today was talking about artificial sweeteners and Dr. Travis asking his audience to consider getting the sweetness from natural sources like fresh fruit. Our doctors are spending more time in the kitchen and leading people closer to healthy Lifestyles with food…what a delightful trend!

Rocco used the broiler to prepare the citrus mustard salmon served on a bed of spinach. It took less than fifteen minutes and fewer than ten ingredients to keep it on the simple side. Beans and kale kept the caloric count low, but the delicious factor high…

It really doesn’t cost that much, nor does it take that much effort to eat a healthy meal.

Dr. Oz has a new Healthy Dinner Club for the nation to begin to enjoy together. It will help you lose that extra ten pounds Dr. Oz wants you to lose…maybe more. It could also lend to your restoration of your energy and the replenishment of the adrenals and the endocrine system which Dr. Oz indicated was a major factor in fatigue.

You won’t have to wonder if you are anemic when you begin to eat well at every meal with plenty of dark leafy greens, salads with something besides iceberg lettuce, lots of vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, lentils, beans, and sea vegetables, good amounts of fresh organic fruits, and the use of real sea salt, herbs, and spices like tamarind and mustard to make what you eat tempting, nutritious, and healthy for building blood and balancing energy.
