Dr. Oz and Healthy Smoothies and Fresh Fruit
Dr. Oz frequently blends some great Smoothies for his audience members to taste. These fresh fruit smoothies are healthier for people when deciding what is best to eat for breakfast or for a beverage between meals. In fact, a recent study in Japan and the University of Florida showed that papaya helped to slow the growth of cancerous tumors in all of the cultures they tested for the strength of the extract. The papaya extract impacted cytocines which are involved in immune system function. Indigenous Peoples have long known that papaya is a healthy fruit and now scientists are beginning to get the message.
Papaya is a good base for Smoothies. It provides digestive enzymes when fresh. We often combine our papaya with pineapple, banana, apple, and other citrus juices for our Smoothies. We do NOT use dairy as a base, not even yogurt. So those breakfast brownies that Oz featured today are better for lunch or dinner…not for breakfast. They can get their chocolate in their Smoothies or as a sauce on fresh fruit in the morning to start their day with what we all consider to be delicious.
A good pancake or waffle using healthy ingredients and a natural maple syrup is great when you want to enjoy a substantial breakfast meal on the weekends or when you are going to be working for hours and expending a lot of energy in some demanding activity. Then you’ll use all those carbs! Just be sure to keep fruit and grains separate…
It’s great to combine seeds and nuts with your fruit. Chia Seeds, FlaxSeeds, and a variety of nuts are excellent additions to your smoothie recipes. Blend them well…either before you add them to your base juice or while you are mixing the entire mixture.
Along with your fruit Smoothie, you can eat some fresh blueberries, some banana slices, some strawberries, or any other fresh fruit when it is in season. You can nibble on dried fruits, too. Dates, prunes, figs, pears, and other dried fruit is going to be gradually metabolized in your body for hours and will keep you running on a full tank until it’s time for lunch or a mid-day snack.
In the old days, we would have a fabulous selection of fresh fruit to choose from when Mom put out a Fruit Bowl on the dining room table and we always had a good breakfast before heading off to school or to float the river during the summer months. We had plenty of energy and none of us were obese or overweight.
If you want to return to your ideal weight, then consider the benefit of enjoying a fresh fruit Smoothie in the morning. There are cookbooks that will accommodate your personal interests for raw food ingredients and for vegan recipes. Find five to ten recipes that you love and rotate them regularly as fruit is in season throughout the year. You can use frozen organic fruit, but only when fresh is no longer in the markets. You want to enjoy ALL of the Life Force (chi) in fresh fruit whenever possible, although frozen fruit will suffice in a pinch in the dead of winter. It never hurts to learn to can your own produce at harvest time from your own garden, so you can have your own food storage all year long if you cannot get to the store or the Farmer’s Market on any given day.

The nutrition level of organic foods is much higher than the ordinary, chemical added plantation foods, the main thing is the not organic plantation they strike for faster grow rate of the plantations, hence it shorten the time needed for the plantation to accumulate enough nutrition and vitamin in it, instead pumping more chemical stuff for it to grow faster and bigger but not much good ingredients.
