Dr. Oz and Healthy Meatloaf, Essential Oils, and Cancer-Free Food Ideas
Dr. Oz has had two interesting days of information about healthy alternatives which caught my attention. His taste buds appear to be ruled by the spiciness of a dish. He preferred the Meatloaf which had been seasoned with adobo to add some ‘heat’. There was actually cumin, chili powder, and cayenne in addition to the pepper sauce and diced chilies to give the Meatloaf a kick. It was NOT the healthiest Meatloaf recipe, because there should be no bread crumbs and the frozen corn could have been left out. Traditionally, Meatloaf recipes use oatmeal to combine with the egg to hold the loaf together. Oats are much healthier than bread crumbs…so make that switch. The substitution of either turkey or veggie burger chunks are good ideas. Use the freshest organic spices to season your Meatloaf recipe and the flavor and nutritional value will be enhanced.
