Dr. Oz and Dr. Andrew Weil: Drugged Doctors Do Better in the Kitchen
Andrew Weil made his third appearance on the stage with Dr. Oz and behaved like a doctor prescribing nutritional supplements as if they were drugs. Stupid and irresponsible…if you ask me!
This medical mentality has no place in our world of nutritional support, because it lulls people into complacency and false hopes. It gives the industry a bad name…but it’s the drugged doctors that need to change their mindset.
At least Dr. Andrew has begun his journey into the kitchen on his path to a healthy Lifestyle.
Weil prepared a pasta dish with Oz, but they clearly both have a lot to learn about food preparation. The sauce needed to be thoroughly heated before adding the pasta. At least there was fresh Basil… Cooks usually grate the parmesan over the pasta, instead of slapping a single spoonful in the center of the dish.
Dr. Weil could get most of the nutrients from whole foods, instead of taking a basketful of supplements every day. Niacin is best derived from whole grains and other food sources, instead of placing a person under a doctor’s supervision for this single vitamin. Such arrogance…
Anyway, later in the show, Dr. Oz displayed his shallow understanding of whole foods yet again by failing to have that audience member dip her seaweed crispy chip into a dip rather than eating it alone. Then Oz tried to sell the woman on a measly slice of bread spread with some plain almond butter…how boring and unappetizing was that! He needs to spend more time in the kitchen with Lisa and Daphne
