Dr. Oz and Celebrity Health Issues: Joy with Dancing Stars, Naomi Judd and Emeril on the Brain and the Beans, and Brett’s Broken Heart

Dr. Oz featured some well-known celebrities who asked him questions about their most pressing Health Issues and he delivered Dancing with the Stars along with Joy!

All kidding aside, there are several issues that directly affect you just as much as anyone with a recognizable name who is in the spotlight. The spotlight is on a healthy Lifestyle. Louis, one of our favorite ‘Dancing With the Stars” professional dancers said it best that if you dance, you have to eat well. He knows from direct experience what it takes to maintain the body’s best performance! Likewise, Taylor Swift and you will find healthy snacks and foods at Raw Food World and Loving Street Living Foods which are great for the times when you are on the road, performing with demands upon your endurance, or just when you want to eat something delicious and healthy for you.

The Swift Shake is OK occasionally, but you must know that nut butters go rancid very quickly; so vary the nut butters and keep these snacks cool. They are more of a Stir than a Shake, since you are going to have to use an implement to mix the ingredients thoroughly. You can substitute the almond butter or peanut butter with pine nut butter or chocolate hazelnut butter or cashew butter among others that are available at both Raw Food World and Love Street Living Foods. You can also substitute Goji Berries for the cranberries or even raisins or other pieces of dried fruit like dates. Here’s the recipe:

The best question of the day was about the vegan diet. Most of the vegans that I know are more careful than 99% of the rest of the human population with their food choices and that’s why they are vegans. Those people who are dabbling with vegetarian and/or vegan dietary selections need to take it more seriously, if they want to ensure that they are meeting all of their nutritional needs. The suggestion that Dr. Oz gave to our music mogul, Russell Simmons, was reasonable, but incomplete.

The single food that supplies vegans and meat-eaters with vitamin B12 is spirulina. Vital 18 is the ideal source of B12 for a number of reasons, including being made with spirulina, korean ginseng, and sweet and delicious. Most spirulina is difficult to consume and disguise in the powder form. You have to learn how to make tasty Smoothies with banana, apple juice, blue agave syrup or honey, berries or other fruits, and a little spirulina. You can also add spirulina powder to a veggie Smoothie with carrots, celery, beets, ginger root, and apples. It will be green…

There are many other whole food sources of vitamin B12, but if you need to supplement to be certain; then get sub-lingual B12. It is the most bio-available and your body will actually deliver more of it to the cells than when a tablet or capsule has to make its way through the digestive system. Our favorite source of the B complex vitamins are whole grains and seaweed.

Most vegans can get ample protein from their primary foods, but if you want to supplement amino acids or protein; then use the Barley powder in a Smoothie. You can also use a complete amino acid supplement to guarantee that you have the essentials at the same time which the body requires to perform various functions. You also need to get your minerals and liquid zeolite on a regular basis.

Liquid Zeolite

Emeril’s White Bean and Kale dish with chopped Walnuts as a garnish is fine when combined with a Whole Grain dish with root vegetables and a sprinkling of Gomasio. You have to learn food combinations to get all of the amino acids and other nutrients with each meal. When you nibble on Pulse between meals, you can assure yourselves that you will be getting a more rounded grouping of nutrients and all the co-factors that are necessary for wellness. Emeril is going green and learning more about Sustainability in the kitchen, in the field, and in one’s Lifestyle after being around celebrities like Martha Stewart and our Food Network family friends like Alton, Giada, Jamie, and Michael.

I adore Naomi Judd and you might want to support her latest efforts to illuminate the Body, Mind, Spirit Connection with her new project. She ‘walks the talk’ and learned with HepC. She and many others have put our knowledge into practice in their Lifestyles and gained a healthy respect for the power of the Body, Mind, and Spirit. Even Dr. Lisa on TheDoctorsTV and Dr. Travis discussed the value of loving your body and who you are when they talked about the Operation Beautiful efforts on their TV show today.

Brett’s broken heart and his future operation is a topic that I will leave unattended to…due to his imbalance in his behavior and his personal choices in his social relationships. All I will say is: no wonder he’s in the predicament with his heart and it won’t change until he addresses the deeper emotional and relationship issues that plague this confused man. Even if he gets an operation, his Lifestyle choices will continue to create an imbalance in the Fire Element in the course of his Life. I have no respect for this fellow.

Meat…meet grass…meet sustainable agricultural practices which are now reaching ‘celebrity status’ in the field. Grass-fed beef of any cut is going to be the healthy choice for you. The discussion pointed out that meat should not be the primary focus of any meal, but one of three or four main ingredients with vegetables, dark leafy greens, whole grains, lentils and legumes, beans, and other whole foods. It was good to hear Dr. Oz talk about salt and the use of herbs and spices to season your food naturally and in a healthy way. Celtic Sea Salt has some nifty shakers and blends of sea salt, especially the Gomasio trio that are absolute essentials for not only vegans, but every human being who want to enjoy a healthy Lifestyle.
