Dr. Oz and Balancing the Gallbladder with a Healthy Lifestyle

Earlier this week, Dr. Oz discussed the Gallbladder. We knew that finally he would get around to talking about this forgotten organ, since he prefers to discuss the heart, the bowels, and the endocrine system more often than dealing with any of the lesser known organs and systems in the human body.

The Gallbladder is paired with the Liver in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a part of the Wood Element. There are specific herbal formulations designed for balancing the energy of the Gallbladder whether the meridian energy is deficient or if there is an condition of excess. These herbs are extremely effective in restoring the function and benefiting the structure of the Gallbladder and the ducts which transport the bile. You only take these herbal formulations for a relatively short period of time to bring balance to the Gallbladder’s function.

The bio-energetic imbalance that corresponds to the Body, Mind, and Spirit connection is the attitude of indecision or procrastination. If you have a difficult time making choices and implementing your final choice; then it is very common to find that your attitude will result in the imbalance of this meridian’s energy flow. When you make a conscious effort to change and empower your ability to make clear and concise decisions, then you will affect your Gallbladder in a positive manner.

One of the best foods that you can use to balance the Gallbladder is dark cherries. Eat them fresh and organic if at all possible. If you cannot find fresh cherries; then you can purchase Black Cherry Concentrate from the health food store. You can blend it into apple juice or any other juice with some sweetness. Dr. Jensen was one of the first to promote this whole food and juice for the health of this organ.

I once did a Blue Body Healing session with an older gentleman who had an imbalance in his abdominal area while I was moving my hands over his body to assess his health status. I lingered on that area over the Gallbladder and through Remote View, I was him picking cherries in the orchard of trees. I told him what I saw and he laughed out loud. I mentioned that cherry juice or whole cherries would be an excellent choice for healing his body. After the session was finished, the gentleman asked me if he could explain why he laughed at my vision. He told me that as a youth, he would go into his family’s cherry orchard and climb up a ladder to pick cherries while eating as many as he could stuff in his mouth in the process and it brought back happy memories when I picked up that image. He later found me at another Event and relayed that his health HAD improved after following my advice and eating cherries.

The fresh juicing of many vegetables will also support the function of the Gallbladder. When you eat dark leafy greens, you will continue to provide the Gallbladder with the nutrients that are needed for bile production and secretion.

You should avoid dairy products and fatty foods. Healthy oils and fats are well-received by the body and will not stress the Gallbladder. Raw nuts are preferable to roasted nuts and be careful to check your nuts for rancidity.

You can learn about every organ and system in your body over time and live a healthy Lifestyle to ensure that although you may not know much about a particular organ, your Lifestyle choices will indeed make a profound difference in the quality of your health and the level of your well-being.

Hello, you used to write fantastic, but the last few posts have been kinda boring… I miss your super writings. Past few posts are just a little bit out of track! come on!

I know and I apologize for the change in style and tone. I had one idiot who was going to bring my blog to the attention of the authorities for making claims, because he markets some competing products and hates what he cannot control.

But in a little while, all that will be water under the bridge and he will go the way of the coocoo birds…flying the coop. I’ll get back in my usual groove!

I have hbp and was told that I could control it better by drinking cherry juice and I do find that it works. However, about half hour after drinking the juice my gallbladder begins to send out little spurts of sharp pain. I drink black cherry juice from concentrate with 5 parts of water. I’m scared that I am agitating the gall bladder and don’t want to end up in the e.r. Do you have any suggestions what could be happening?

    Roxanne,

Dilute the black cherry juice that you are drinking with lemon juice or another organic fresh juice that will not stimulate the gallbladder as much. You can also cut down on the amount and take smaller portions of the black cherry juice at different times of the day. You may also want to consider ways to support your gallbladder function and look at the possibility of small gallstones that might be responsible for those pains you are feeling. Try changing from dairy products, red meat, and processed foods to organic whole foods with a partially raw base for awhile and see if it makes a difference. You may need more fiber in your diet,so eat the whole fruits and make sure they are organic. Visit your holistic practitioner and ask to discover more about the cause and solutions to the presence of any pain until you are satisfied that you have resolved this matter.
