Dr. Oz and Balancing the Gallbladder with a Healthy Lifestyle
Earlier this week, Dr. Oz discussed the Gallbladder. We knew that finally he would get around to talking about this forgotten organ, since he prefers to discuss the heart, the bowels, and the endocrine system more often than dealing with any of the lesser known organs and systems in the human body.
The Gallbladder is paired with the Liver in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a part of the Wood Element. There are specific herbal formulations designed for balancing the energy of the Gallbladder whether the meridian energy is deficient or if there is an condition of excess. These herbs are extremely effective in restoring the function and benefiting the structure of the Gallbladder and the ducts which transport the bile. The fresh juicing of many vegetables will also support the function of the Gallbladder. When you eat dark leafy greens, you will continue to provide the Gallbladder with the nutrients that are needed for bile production and secretion.
You should avoid dairy products and fatty foods. Healthy oils and fats are well-received by the body and will not stress the Gallbladder. Raw nuts are preferable to roasted nuts and be careful to check your nuts for rancidity.

I know and I apologize for the change in style and tone. I had one idiot who was going to bring my blog to the attention of the authorities for making claims, because he markets some competing products and hates what he cannot control.
But in a little while, all that will be water under the bridge and he will go the way of the coocoo birds…flying the coop. I’ll get back in my usual groove!

I have hbp and was told that I could control it better by drinking cherry juice and I do find that it works. However, about half hour after drinking the juice my gallbladder begins to send out little spurts of sharp pain. I drink black cherry juice from concentrate with 5 parts of water. I’m scared that I am agitating the gall bladder and don’t want to end up in the e.r. Do you have any suggestions what could be happening?

Dilute the black cherry juice that you are drinking with lemon juice or another organic fresh juice that will not stimulate the gallbladder as much. You can also cut down on the amount and take smaller portions of the black cherry juice at different times of the day. You may also want to consider ways to support your gallbladder function and look at the possibility of small gallstones that might be responsible for those pains you are feeling. Try changing from dairy products, red meat, and processed foods to organic whole foods with a partially raw base for awhile and see if it makes a difference. You may need more fiber in your diet,so eat the whole fruits and make sure they are organic. Visit your holistic practitioner and ask to discover more about the cause and solutions to the presence of any pain until you are satisfied that you have resolved this matter.
