China is an Environmental BasketCase…Beware!
If you are planning to travel to China, please be aware that you are risking your health in major cities where unsafe practices are causing environmental nightmares!
Either restrict your travel destinations to the villages where the common people live naturally with simple ways that are not being exploited as cheap labor…or prepare to take huge risks in major cities where technology is too far ahead of safe health practices for disposal and handling of industrial substances like lead and other heavy metals used in computers, cars, TVs, refrigerators, and electronic equipment.
The Chinese have much to answer for with their unhealthy practices and ineffective monitoring of industrial poisons. It is widespread and dangerous. People who are desperately trying to get to components and parts as scavengers are polluting the streets, homes, and business locations due to their ignorance and stupidity about these materials.
China needs better educational programs. They should limit access until these fools learn more about handling these materials!
Copper and Gold from computers are being melted over outside burners as if they were butter! Lead dust is released when picture tubes are smashed and these workers have no comprehension about the pollutants they are exposing everyone to in this way, just so they can recover glass and electronic components. The shear stupidity makes me want to walk into my local Wal-Mart and tell them that they are contributing to human disease and death by supporting these practices when buying goods produced cheaply from China. Buy American…Be Safe and healthy!
It’s been more than five years since international attention has been directed toward this problem for our global environment. We all care about the quality of the environment in all places on the planet. Still…the Chinese do nothing, except do more to damage the planet by working with more discarded materials. It’s insane. Insane!
No one should buy from China until they “clean up” their act…if you do, you are as responsible as they are for contributing to this horrific problem!
If you were as trained as we are, you could see a red blood cell die immediately when a small tiny bit of any heavy metal like lead touches the cell in the bloodstream! It dies instantly!
