Chamomile Tea – Put the “Even” in Your Evening!
Chamomile is one of the finest beverages available for quieting the entire Being and soothing the savage beast. It is ideal for relaxation, calming, and harmonious balancing of Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Chamomile tastes a little bitter if you boil it too long or let it steep for more minutes than necessary. It is well-suited for a nightly brew with a little squeeze of lemon and a drizzle of honey.
It won’t sedate you as many medications or pharmaceutical drugs will often do. You won’t feel that dazed hangover the next morning! You won’t need a wake up caffeine fix to get going, following a nice and gentle sleep. No…not at all! You will simply relax and settle in for the evening.
Chamomile works gently and virtually without any fanfare. You easily transition gradually into a more peaceful, contented mood and the muscles relax, along with a slowing down of that “Busy Mind” scenario.
Don’t skimp on the quality of your Chamomile Tea. You need to source it, so it’s fresh and potent. It is preferable to use the loose tea, rather than finely ground in a bag. You’ll “feel” the difference.
Over-processed herbs just do not give you the same energetic shift that fresh, minimally handled herbal teas and blends can offer. Life Force dissipates rapidly, so freshness is measured in seasonal crops. Don’t hang on to your stash…drink it up. If you have teas from last year in your cupboards – make a nice sun tea blend for the last of a good summer picnic and get new supplies of this year’s harvest!

If you don’t like Chamomile tea, try Provence Rooibos from http://www.tealaden.com. I drink this just before bed and feel completely relaxed and ready to sleep. The blend has lavender that is a natural sleep inducer. The blend is caffeine free.
