Doctors and Oz: Anti-Aging Popsicles and Foods
Whether you listen to the Doctors on TV or to Dr. Oz, they are beginning to share more ideas with their audiences for anti-aging foods and techniques. This is a great trend for physicians, because it demonstrates that the general public is more interested in being healthy than treating disease.
Today the doctors were all enjoying the great taste of the anti-aging popsicle made from cherry, pomegranate, and carrot juice. The colorful pigments and the nutrients in these fruits and vegetables are known to promote well-being on many levels. The carrot also sweetens the popsicle. If you don’t have carrot juice available, you can use white grape juice to sweeten the cherry and pomegranate juice blend. You can also vary this basic recipe with blueberries, strawberries, grapes, banana, apples, peaches, and other fruits. You can add a pinch of cinnamon or citrus zest to give the popsicle more POP!
The advances in technology to remove the proteins and other co-factors from foreskin and placenta to add to facial creams and cosmetic products are reaching new levels all the time. While we have not tested the foreskin cream, it makes sense to use newborn cells which have the innate capacity to regenerate and grow into healthy tissue. It sounds funny and intriguing! You can stimulate the same regenerative process using pearl powder regularly both internally and externally.
I loved hearing from Dr. Jim’s dad, Dr. Bill. He has garnered my respect with his journey toward wellness for elders who have the desire to regain what has been lost over the years. He is living proof that it not only possible, but preferable. His rule of two’s was delightful: eat twice as often, eat half as much, and chew twice as long. Excellent advice. We have been known to recommend chewing fifty times per bite…
Dr. Oz loves whole grain pasta and bread as much as these doctors, but we still insist that REAL whole grains are the way to go 99% of the time. The bulgar, quinoa, and brown rice was a joy to see on Dr. Oz today! You can jazz up these neutral grains with herbs, spices, and seasonings to make them new favorites with fiber and fabulous nutrients…far more than processed cereals and breads and pasta.
You can do a lot to keep from becoming a cancer statistic when you eat whole foods and avoid processed dairy items, pre-packaged foods, and commercial salt and sugar. Sea salt and natural sweeteners are the alternatives which really make a difference, along with real food and a healthy Lifestyle. The door that opens to cancer occurs when you consume synthetic chemicals and are exposed to environmental toxins. You can effectively address these risks and maintain cellular integrity when you apply what information you are given every day here on our Blog and in private Consultation.
Dance, dance, and sing…we love Jeanine and voted for her when she appeared on “So You Think You Can Dance” and we are watching “Dancing with the Stars” at this very moment! Dancing and swimming are two excellent ways to exercise your physical body, challenge your mind and emotions, and socialize with creativity and pleasure. It’s part of a healthy way of living for your entire Life.
We also go nuts for NUTS! We love an assortment of almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts, pine nuts, walnuts, pecans, and filberts. Peanuts are good as long as you make sure they are not in moldy shells or cause a reaction if your immune system is compromised. Blending your own trail mix is a wonderful way to get your EFAs and it works better to combine them with seeds like pumpkin and sunflower seeds with some chunks of dried fruit. Check out our Pulse to add to your trail mix when you want a healthy snack, a great breakfast, or a light meal any time of the day or night.
Oh Nuts Candy Nuts and Chocolate
Turmeric, cumin, cayenne, sea salt, garlic powder, paprika, and so many other spices and seasonings are excellent additions to the nuts and seeds if you make your own mixes. Just be sure to buy fresh spices and seasonings to maximize the flavors and the nutrients.
The whole panel of doctors and Liz from Prevention Magazine had great foods for improving your skin. Salad fixings with a variety of greens is one of your best choices for providing nutrients that are not only good for the skin, but also good for vital organs and systems throughout your body. Raspberries are equal to those delicious strawberries when it comes to ellagic acid sources. Healthy oils and seeds will also contribute to resilient skin and a clear complexion. Major and trace minerals and pearl powder are going to enhance the production of collagen and strengthen your skin in addition to keeping the signs of aging from appearing too soon.
Add Dr. Lisa’s dark chocolate to Dr. Drew’s strawberries and you have a winning and yummy combination! Lemon water goes a long way to hydrate the skin and keep it clear. Dr. Travis talked pasta and could have shown whole grains which contain more nutrients than the pasta, but that’s our preference.
There are many more foods that are going to contribute to your youthfulness. Think fresh organic vegetables, seaweed, miso, legumes, beans, and seeds….along with adaptogenic herbs and spices which promote well-being and long life. One would be remiss to leave out the power of the pearl for Longevity, since it is your greatest resource for extending your life span!
Here’s to your long life and your ultimate experience of well-being with a toast with organic Red Wine!

Yes, the AM/PM Rejuvenating Cream works almost magically on my dry skin. ITs very hydrating, I think since it has Hyaluronic Acid in it. I was researching products online with that ingredient after reading how great Hyluronic Acid is for "mature" skin, which tends to be dry, and found a review on Hydroxatone. I fell in love with the cream right away and it hasn’t taken long to see an improvement.
