Doctors on TV: Getting the Whole Foods Message Out to You Now

My partner shouted out in amazement as he watched Dr. Travis and the other doctors on DoctorsTV tell people to choose real foods first, and then go with other options for Healthy Living.

Finally…yes, it’s so good to see!

The DoctorsTV are discussing nutrition and whole foods when selecting healthy over processed or packaged items. This is a transition away from old physician’s reliance on drugs and surgery when often neglecting or ignoring the value of a healthy dietary regimen and a Healthy Lifestyle. This is progress!

We have been promoting Optimal Health and Wellness for almost fifty years now, after having used whole foods and nutrition to restore our own personal health and then on to enjoying an enriching private practice and now a Consulting business. We have so many stories and case histories that we could never tell you everything, yet will attempt to give you the most important Health Ideas with products and services to take you well on your way to better health.

I was impressed to see some organic and natural products in the little challenge on the DoctorsTV show, but it surprised me that the woman got so many wrong, especially the creamy peanut butter! Maybe she’s never enjoyed real peanuts in the shell? We wonder if she would recognize a real pistachio in a shell that wasn’t dyed red!

While some people have lived a sheltered existence and only shop at the local grocery store chains; many more people are shopping for healthy alternatives online and in Whole Foods stores and local Food Co-ops or Farmer’s Markets. Many people have returned to farm the land in a sustainable manner and offer CSA shares while also supplying their local restaurants for chefs who are ‘in the know’.

We used to find it impossible to locate a natural foods restaurant that served organic food, so we had to open our own! We now find great restaurants and even healthy items on regular menus to be more common place these days. What a transformation that’s occurred in just a few short decades. People will begin to see their general health improve and statistics will change as the entire population begins to take advantage of all this education and information which changes their Lifestyle choices daily!

We are able to give you the benefit of our experience and expertise while sorting through all of the madness among advertising agencies, big box store brands, and gimmicks that are short-lived and often misrepresent good science and accurate facts in our industry.

I was observing the way Dr. Oz talked to the female who had lost weight, but had serious issues with food and purging. He got her some professional help and brought attention to some of the most difficult aspects of the psychological and emotional factors that have made anorexia and bulemia such challenging health issues. I would get this woman on spray vitamins and minerals, then add liquid nutritional supplements while counseling her to change her attitude and belief systems toward food, eating, and her body. Find a Whole Foods market or a natural foods store and natural foods restaurants in your neighborhood. Ask them to carry items if they don’t already have them in inventory. Tell them what you want to purchase and establish a great relationship with your grocer, butcher, gardeners, rancher, herbalist, coffee and tea shops, and growers in your area. Learn why it’s better to eat salmon that is harvested sustainably, rather than take fish oil capsules or resort to heart medication.
