The Doctors on TV Vary in Response to Hand Treatment for Selfies

TheDoctorsTV aired a segment about a medical procedure for plumping the hands for a young woman who wanted her left hand to look good when she took a ‘selfie’ for her engagement ring. The poignant comments from physician and patient that caught my attention was that both of them thought that the procedure looked ‘natural’.

It’s not.

Sure, you can get a synthetic substance injected into the tissue of your hand and make it look plump within minutes, but it is as far away from ‘natural’ as you can get. It makes me ask the question, “what other aspects of this young woman’s life are faked” and how does her fiance view her approach to self-indulgent methods for improving the visual appearance of her body with medical procedures?

Watch the segment about Engagement Ring Selfies to discover what I am talking about in reference to your hands.

I would tell her that it is more valuable to take good care of herself with a healthy lifestyle which will result in a more youthful physical appearance without such costly and temporary interventions. The doctors speculated that she may even need another injection prior to her wedding. Now that’s a major consideration, because once she begins to rely upon an external solution to her loss of her youthful appearance it is entirely possible that she will quit making healthy choices daily that will do far more for her than regular injections that are superficial.

The condition of the skin on her hands is indicative of her internal aging process. It would be far more intelligent to address this process with healthy lifestyle behaviors that will benefit the entire body, rather than take such drastic measures to treat one miniscule part of her body at a time with external cosmetic procedures.

For instance, fresh organic citrus will provide the vitamin C that the human body uses to produce the collagen and connective tissue that keeps tissue firm and toned. Dehydration is another health issue that will appear to affect the condition of your skin. It is important to drink purified water to keep your entire body hydrated. Speaking of things to drink in addition to pure water… If you drink 2 ounces of Liquid BioCell that is designed and formulated specifically to maintain the integrity of the skin; then you will be proactive in your approach to keeping your skin toned and intact. The Essential Oils of Frankincense and Helichrysum will serve to nourish your skin and support the replacement of new healthy cells when the old skin sloughs off. When you consume healthy EFAs from nuts, seeds, coconut, avocado, and flax seed; you nourish your skin from within. Of, course, it’s essential to keep environmental toxins and synthetic ingredients from damaging your skin or entire body. You can use organic and wild-crafted herbal lotions and creams instead of artificial make-up in addition to all of the products you use on your skin from shampoo to sunscreen.

I would caution you to avoid unnecessary and expensive medical procedures that do not always deliver what you seek when you want to preserve your youth and improve your appearance. You can choose to engage in healthy lifestyle behavior that will maintain or restore your youthful appearance as you rejuvenate your internal well-being in the process. Your hands can be a beautiful reminder that your daily decisions matter and show the world (or your finance and physician) that you know how to accomplish your goal of retaining your youthfulness with natural approaches, instead of going under the knife for a quick fix that doesn’t last.
