Brown Recluse Habitat Changes With Climate Change: Keep Your Eyes Peeled to Protect Your Legs

I have direct experience with the habitat and habits of the Brown Recluse Spider. They do not typically intend to bite human beings, but they will react to being disturbed and surprised when a human approaches them. I happened to run through and disturb a nest in the woods and other people find the spiders in a shoe or the corner of a basement.

He maintains that people are bitten by fleas and arthropods or have an allergic reaction which results in a mistaken idea that it was a spider bite. Some marks on the skin that are attributed to spiders are actually infections.

Furthermore, most spider bites are harmless, except for two species of spiders. The Widows can give a serious bite, like the infamous Black Widow which causes painful muscle contractions at the bite site. The other species that is poisonous is the Recluse family, like the Brown Recluse that causes the necrosis of skin tissue at the site of the bite.
