Dr. Oz and Kathy Freston: The Better Body in 30 Days
Dr. Oz invited Kathy Freston to appear on his show today to discuss her method for improving your health and the shape of your body in 30 days.
She began by making your ‘intention’ the highest priority that drives your behavior. Then gave four one week groupings for changing your body in one month.

She suggests that you ‘lean’ into the process and be gentle with your expectations.
The first week sees a change in breakfast with organic brown rice blended with almonds, dates, blue agave syrup, and other healthy ingredients like soy milk. Then the second week continues with a multiple vitamin/mineral supplement. She makes a point of hydration and feeling full when you drink plenty of water and healthy liquids. That second week gets you moving with a power walk.
During week three a person changes from artificial sweeteners to natural ones like blue agave syrup, stevia, and honey. You switch from sweets to fresh fruit. On the fourth week a person replaces one meat-based meal a day with a different source of protein – seitan, tofu, tempeh, or any number of vegetables, lentils, beans, grains, nuts, seeds, and combinations thereof.
She and Dr. Oz prepared a ‘no meat’ Philly Cheesesteak as an example of how delicious this can be. That’s the kicker! People will change what they eat when it tastes great.

I would replace the Worchestershire sauce with balsamic vinegar and tamari, plus I would find a way to incorporate even more flavor into this recipe for authenticity with some fresh basil and parsley. You can jazz up any recipe with healthy ingredients!
