Dr. Oz and Dr. Mercola: Trust Has to Be Earned, Not Misplaced Nor Automatic for Doctors
This is the second time that Dr. Oz has invited Dr. Mercola to appear on the Dr. Oz show. He is considered by the mainstream medical community to be controversial, but he is more analytical than tempermental. He expects more of doctors than most patients…
So he basically is saying to not automatically trust your doctor. Doctors are people, too.
Some doctors excel in keeping up on health issues and treatment protocols and all of the myriad of things that they are supposed to have relative mastery over. Some take Seminars and Workshops to stay on top of their games… But then there are those who barely do what they must to be licensed and practice medicine. You have to watch out for these slackers.
Not all doctors are created the same. Some care more than others… Some are more open-minded to new approaches than others… Some are re-thinking what they have been taught, because of their sense of responsibility to their patients and their practice.
Seek out the best of the best…
Don’t settle for doctors who think they know it all or have all of the tools in their toolbox that they will ever need for the remainder of their lives. They stop learning and finding out about things and ways to help their patients and you deserve better…
It’s important for you to shop around to find the doctor(s) that you feel suit your personal expectations and needs. You know yourself better than anyone else and you’ll know it when you find the physician that matches your ideals for health care.
Dr. Mercola gave some pertinent examples of areas where doctors could be re-thinking things. Drugs, procedures, and methodologies need to be re-evaluated and updated to improve patient care and outcomes.
Dr. Oz and Dr. Mercola: Do You Trust Your Doctor?
It’s no wonder the medical community sees him as a renegade when he demands excellence and precision in patient care and procedure. They don’t want to have to work too hard to do better, so they are threatened by someone who critiques his own… Tough, get over it and work on improving medical care in this country to be accountable to your patients and your colleagues!
If you find a lazy doctor, don’t waste your time being under their care. Find another. Go to Holistic Physicians who have more training and are more attentive to trends, new procedures that work, and cutting-edge technological advances. You owe it to yourself to be treated by the very best in this business…and it is a business.
For instance, don’t listen to Dr. Oz when it comes to Ear Candles. He doesn’t know much at all about ear candling or else he would have approached the subject differently during the segment today. He’s an idiot to tell you to save your money on safer methods, but offering none of them on his show. I have candled other people’s ears and I have had my own ears candled with great success. It works when you know what you are doing. Dr. Oz incorrectly implied that the candles are lit to create smoke when the purpose is to create a vacuum which pulls the debris from the ear gently and without damage to the interior of the ear which other procedures have been known to harm.
Do take a walk in the sun every day to help support your body’s production and use of Vitamin D. Do not take those Bonita supplements when you can eat Bonita Flakes in your meals instead. Tuna is good as food, but resorting to a supplement just because it’s new on the market is irresponsible Dr. Oz! Yes, I am talking to you, dude.
I am telling you that a healthy Lifestyle is based upon whole foods with as few supplements as necessary to fill in any gaps in the nutrients and bio-energetic components you might not get in your food. Food sources are infinitely better for you than manufactured supplements. They are but an ‘assurance policy’…just in case.
Dr. Oz seems to learn something every time that Dr. Mercola appears on his show. I would bet that he subscribes to his Newsletter, too.
I do…
But I don’t think that Dr. Mercola has all of the answers either. I pick and choose what I feel is the best of the best among many sources of information. Grow and learn more every day to know what works the best for you as an individual…
