Dr. Oz and Fixes for Your Forties Plus, Sexual Health Ideas, and Vital Veggies

Today’s episode of Dr. Oz focused on health issues that women over the age of 40 face and want to fix with these doctors’ ideas presented by Oz and his experts. This is one show that I feel that I must describe as irresponsible.

The sexual health of women who are in their 40’s often is affected by the demands of family, work, childbirth, and the deficiencies of the endocrine system that comes from the failure to embrace a healthy Lifestyle early in one’s Life.

Women on the show were complaining of a lack of interest, little desire, being too tired at the end of the day for sex, difficulty in getting aroused, and the diminishing of the pleasure of sex and orgasm. It became clear to me that Oz and his expert had few legitimate answers for these women who were depending upon the doctors for ideas. The doctors offered gimmicks and gadgets, instead of something substantive. I was extremely disappointed.

What woman really wants vaginal mesh implanted when she actually needs nutritional support to strengthen the tissue in that region of the body. Did the doctors miss the health risks associated with this mesh that is calling for a class action suit? It causes many more problems than it tries to solve. It doesn’t really solve the real underlying cause of the weakness of the muscles and other tissue. Bad medicine… It’s better to use herbs and nutritional support to restore function and structure to these tissues. Much better! The true Healers in the East have been doing this for thousands of years successfully. Maybe our doctors could learn a thing or two from them…

The experts on this episode make me think that they are lazy and not up to snuff with their information about helping the aging bodies of women in their 40’s. These doctors seem to know nothing of dealing with bio-energetic deficiencies. When a woman replenishes the chi or energy, the blood and body fluids, the yin or structure of her body at this time in her Life; then she is able to maintain the vitality of her youth well into her 60’s, 70’s, and beyond…with determination and a healthy Lifestyle approach to aging gracefully. It drives me crazy that doctors resort to surgery, implants, drugs, and gimmicks so easily a and that women would succumb to these meager attempts. Just say, “NO” to more make-up and fake lashes, mesh, and in the case of killing hair follicles – just say “no-no”.

Some of these doctors and experts are watching too many late night infomercials!

The only rational advice given for sexual health was about communication with one’s partners. That works… And if your partner really needs to refer to a map for help in finding the areas of your body that arouse the senses; then communication and the quality of playful exploration are going to serve you better than a mere map. Read the Kama Sutra together. Find people who know about Tantric sex and learn more from them. Google ‘Margo Anand’ and take a workshop or two… Become acquainted with Mantak Chia and figure out how to integrate his methods into your coupling!

Just go to the real experts…

The true Healers of the East are those with the knowledge of Avurveda and TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine. When you go to this provider, you will find traditional formulas and herbal products which have been used for centuries and thousands of years with great success.

The segment about vital veggies left me wondering why doctors try to twist food the same way they twist drugs. There’s a problem with giving one food that is the ‘best’ for a health issue. It’s more like a pharmaceutical sales rep trying to pawn a new drug off on a doctor as the ‘best’ one to use for a disease. It’s a disgusting attitude toward health and it has no place in ‘wellness’ circles.

Sure…it’s fine to eat avocado for supplying healthy oils, eating brussel sprouts and butternut squash for the nutrients that the skin and eyes require for functioning properly; but it is irresponsible to single out a single food and make it sound like a ‘fix’ for the 40’s. How many times do we have to say to eat a well-balanced whole foods plant-based diet? Eat as if your entire body was going to be nourished and loved into a long and healthy Life!

I have never tested Irvingia which is an extract of an African mango seed. The medical claim by the doctor on the show was for losing weight around the waist, but I have no way of commenting about this until I actually test the product with my EAV equipment. The fastest method that is proven to trim the waist and lose excess weight is to adopt a Raw Foods diet and eliminate ALL processed foods and beverages from the diet. Exercise works, too. Remember that? Find a little time either early in the morning before the rest of the family awakens or at the end of your day before you retire after everyone else has gone to bed to nurture yourself and do some Yoga.

I thought the most irresponsible comment on the show today came from the doctor saying that high doses of Turmeric were needed to get results. That’s horrific advice and no reason to go out and buy a supplement with turmeric and pepper in order to slug down more than any sane individual would ever consider doing… Don’t DO THAT! It’s one thing to take a supplement of Turmeric, but the real tried and true way is to take this spice and cook with it. Recipes from Indian cuisine are going to give you a beautiful blend of spices and herbs that will be digested and used by the body when cooked properly and combined with real food. Just tell these damn doctors to quit treating spices and foods like drugs!

Magnesium, Vitamin A, and all of the other vitamins and minerals should not be prescribed like drugs by doctors. This is a horrible mistake and they should remedy it. Nutrients in whole foods are not by design to be ‘isolated’ substances, but rather are designed by Nature to be combined for an ideal whole food for the human body. You may need to learn how to prepare your avocados, your brussel sprouts, and your butternut squash to make these foods delectable and delicious, but that’s half the fun of living a healthy Lifestyle.
