Shake, Shake, Shake…Shake Your Sea Salt!
Perhaps you own one of those lovely wooden sets of matching Salt and Pepper Shakers and have them on your Dining Room table for meals with your Family. Sometimes, I still find people who have never enjoyed the taste of freshly-ground Black Peppercorns on their salads or when placing the finishing touches on a gourmet meal!
Flavors come alive when you take fresh Spices and grind them just as you cook and serve your finest food. It always enhances a dish to be prepared with fresh ingredients that possess the untapped natural goodness locked into the herb or spice or bark. All of a sudden, as you grind your Peppercorns, there is a strong aroma and your tastebuds prepare themselves for an Event worthy of remembrance.
In culinary circles, we are endlessly seeking out good suppliers who keep their inventory turning over to allow their clients to avail themselves of the luxury only freshness provides. Crisp salad greens, succulent fruit ripened on the vine, asparagus that makes that popping sound when you break it off a few inches from the ground! Fresh!!
Well…your Sea Salt and Pepper deserve the same treatment. You can give yourself that gift by using these nifty little Grinders that simultaneously contain the Celtic Sea Salt and Pepper filled to the brim upon ordering them. When you grind the Sea Salt over your food, you will instantly taste the difference. If you look closely, you can even see the difference a grinding event gives the presentation of your finest meal.
Finely ground or more coarsely ground, the enhancement only gets better when with each bite. The flavor doesn’t dwindle or fade away quickly as it sometimes will with dried herbs and old spices.
Believe it or not, I still run into people who don’t go through their spices every six months! I talk to folks who have jars of poultry seasoning and bay leaves that have been in the cupboard for more than two Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners. That’s Wild!
Please…make an effort to restock your seasonings, herbs, and spices every six months – if not more often than this! There are times I do it weekly! It’s one thing to buy in Bulk, but not at the expense of flavor and the healthy quality of freshness. It’s always a great idea to replenish your spices and herbs after Harvest time. Flavor Rules!
Try out this premise with your next meal with a Shaker of Celtic Sea Salt and Black Peppercorns. Then experiment and try out the difference that other freshly-ground spices will make – you’ll be profoundly pleased and impressed!
You’ll immediately go through the shelves and toss out the old to make room for the new…and your Family will comment on the change in flavor. It may be subtle, it may be huge, but there will be a result worthy of the effort you make to “Shake” your Sea Salt and Pepper!
