Calm Down with Chamomile

Chamomile is a great flowering plant that soothes the nerves and calms the spirit as a tea.

It needs to steep for a few minutes and can be sweetened with honey or stevia and tempered with lemon.

Chamomile will not put you to sleep or cause you to feel depressed in any way.  It is rather a balancing act for the nervous system through the mechanism of providing nutrients that support nerve function and chemical transport across the neural pathways.

Chamomile is not sedating like medication.  It soothes the nerve tissue by supplying nutrients, especially minerals.  Chamomile is gentle and subtle.  The Tea tastes mild.

You can drink it anytime throughout the day.  Most people like to sip it after the evening meal.

My favorite way to enjoy Chamomile Tea:  Brew it with Lemon juice and freshly grated lemon and orange peel.  Honey is my sweetener of choice and it assists in the distribution of the herb in the body’s meridians.  Sitting by a Fire cozy with a wool blanket in front of the fireplace late at night talking about our day and the world…aahhhh!
