It is an amazing experience that has been celebrated for centuries. This is the time of the Winter Solstice and the Holidays of Christmas and New Year’s. People have been using Essential Oils to uplift their Spirit at this time of annual and seasonal festivities for many, many moons.

One of the most common Essential Oils is Clove. It is reminiscent of the cloves that are used in cooking, yet very potent as a therapeutic oil. Clove is especially known for releasing pain or distress from tissues in the body like those in the mouth and gums. Clove is also a powerful antiseptic Oil that clears the energy with intense heat.

Cinnamon is similar to Clove in that it also demonstrates the same properties to ward off pathogens. It is aromatic and frequently used in cooking, both for sweet and savory dishes. Cinnamon is warming and moves energy through stimulation.

Lavender has been used to relieve pain and alleviate burns by soothing and sedation of surrounding tissues of the body. Lavender has floral properties that uplift the mood to feel more balanced and less stressed.

German Blue Chamomile is soothing and calming to the Spirit. Chamomile quiets the worried mind and settles down the anxious person whose fear and trepidations are inconsistent with their environment.

Go gently into that Good Night…

Use the warming Oils if you are sad, weary, depressed, forlorn, or depressed. Use the other Oils when you are worried, stressed out, or frustrated during the times when you need a little extra support to help you through your busy Holidays.
