Dr. Oz and Aging Gracefully: What Healthy Foods Will Help You Age and Continue to Live Life Fully?

One of the experts on the aging of skin that Dr. Oz has as a guest on his show today is telling people that they have to reduce or eliminate alcohol in their thirties to avoid the more rapid aging of their skin and the tendency toward wrinkles. She is also recommending botox injections for wrinkles…OMG!

This is utterly ridiculous and it advice that everyone of you should throw out with the bathwater. Do not listen to this woman…or you’ll regret it in your forties and beyond. Buying retinol and being bullied into botox is BAD advice! Shame on you, Dr. Oz, you should know better than to allow someone to make these suggestions to your audience! I am horrified and disappointed.

Get a grip, girls in your thirties! You can enjoy your one to two glasses of red wine until you die when you one hundred and twenty years old and you’ll be glad you trusted yourself to live fully and with joy and happiness within your social circle. You don’t want to be a drunken sailor, but you can still take a drink and not fear that you’ll wake up with wrinkles and sagging skin. If you decide to drink anything other than red wine; then there are nutrients that will replenish the vitamins and minerals that your body uses to metabolize the alcohol. You can keep your body properly hydrated by drinking purified water and freshly-juiced organic fruit and vegetable juice on a daily basis.

Alcohol is metabolized by the body and when you take an additional vitamin B complex, mineral supplement, and EFAs; then your body will be equipped to manage the extra components of alcohol.

More sex is not necessarily the best solution for preventing aging in your more advanced years. Sexual expression depletes your Jing and Chi, so you have to weigh the advantage of satisfaction with the expenditure of vital life force energy. Do you want to have an additional fifty orgasms as notches in your belt (with or without a partner)…or do you want an extra fifty years of living Life with Balance and moderation in all things. It’s more about hormone balance and attitude than it is about the frequency of the sexual act. Come on, people…get real!

If you really want to age gracefully, then eating a whole foods diet is going to do much more for you than the artificial fixes that these doctors are trying to sell you. Organic whole foods have the healthy oils, the molecules, the nutrients, and the energy that the human body requires for longevity and vitality. There are herbal formulations that are composed of adaptogens which will also assist you in maintaining your youthful appearance, both externally and internally. Just look at the East and you can see visible proof. You can see some oldies, but goodies out in their gardens in their nineties and riding their bicycles into the village in their hundreds… It’s true, it’s been documented and I’ve seen these centarians on a bike and out with their rakes digging up the dirt for their root vegetables.

In your fifties, you will do well to let go of your past. Then you will not be so shallow as to care THAT much that you have a few lines on your face…smiling all the way through your second half century.

You can cleanse the skin, you can use organic natural moisturizers, and you can go to a good Spa. You don’t need to do all this skin peeling, treatments with strong chemicals, or fill in the vacuum with artificial fixes. If you maintain your endocrine system with herbal formulations and an excellent whole foods diet; then you won’t have to worry about these things like the women who are clueless all through their early years and don’t pay attention until they hit the big 50.

You have be healthy and look healthy far beyond your fifties with style, grace, and wisdom. Just continue to enjoy a healthy Lifestyle…
