TheDoctorsTV and the Milestones of One’s Life
This was an interesting episode from the viewpoint of a physician who guides people through the stages of their lives. It is vastly different than what I am familiar with as a Lifestyle Therapist who endeavors to enhance each aspect of an entire Lifetime, acknowledging the Milestones – but not expecting there to be problems that require intervention.
I most enjoyed Dr. Jim and the discussion of children learning to take their first steps. Chasing bubbles and using furniture to stabilize a child’s body was practical and useful. The style of the child’s first shoes was also an excellent explanation that people who have been walking for a few decades seem to forget and take for granted. We would encourage you to clothe your child in organic clothing and shoes that are made of Green materials.
You might use subliminal audio tapes and music to enhance the learning capacity of young children. This will give them the best start in Life that you could imagine. Dancing from a young age and participating in sports and other physical activities will also assist in the coordination of the body and a health self-image. Your attention to the Soul of your child is just as important as the sole of the shoes that they wear!
Dr. Lisa made a good point about the Milestone of pregnancy and delivery for new mothers. Many new moms don’t take enough time to provide for their own well-being while meeting the demands of the needs of the newborn. Sitz baths and massage therapy will help new moms regain their muscle tone. A whole foods diet will help to build blood and replenish a woman’s body. The use of Essential Oils and herbs will rapidly aid in the restoration of supple skin, flat tummies, and strength throughout the body. New moms need plenty of sleep, too. This is the time when the extended family can support the new parents, so everyone is whole, cared for, nourished, and loved as the family grows.
Dr. Drew had a good time with the options that many people face when age begins to take a toll on the face and neck. If you do everything possible when you are young, you won’t need to avail yourself of cosmetic surgery; but it is there if you don’t take good care of yourself until you realize how important it is later in Life. There’s no time when it’s too late to embrace a healthy Lifestyle!
One of the threads that tie all of these stages in one’s Life together is the Endocrine System. Hormones, enzymes, and biochemical actions in the body can be kept in a virtual state of Balance when you choose a healthy Lifestyle, instead of heading off to the doctor when you find you have acne as a teen or the symptoms of menopause. You can use herbal formulations and a whole foods diet to maintain Balance and stay strong and resilient.
When you accomplish all of this, your next Milestone will be Immortality.
