Death and Planning for Cremation: Living and Dying GREEN for a Healthy Environment
Most people find it difficult to plan for death and cremation, but if you are one of the more capable individuals who looks at the entire picture which includes dealing with death and the final choices for the physical body. Cremation is considered to be a GREEN option that contributes to the well-being of our environment.
While you are living your Life fully, it’s virtually imperative these days to be GREEN and think about ecosystems with every choice you make in the course of your daily existence. When you die, there are many options available to you for taking care of the remains of the physical embodiment once the Soul has vacated the body. While it’s hard to find someone who knows how to make a mummy just in case you wish to reanimate your body in a thousand years, it is no longer difficult to plan for cremation of your body.
We have watched as our relatives bought and tended to plots where they would eventually place their graves. My father paid a custodian in advance to care for my mother and his plots, watering the grass, placing flowers on special days, and tending to the general care of the area in the cemetery. Occasionally I go to Saratoga and visit the site which has beautiful green grass, trees, and is well-maintained while much of the rest of the cemetery is sagebrush, dirt, and gravel. It is more for the visitors than for the departed, since I regularly leave my body (OOBE) and visit either my mother or my father. Their graves are the last thing on their minds these days…
I rather like the idea of cremation. It is neat and tidy, it is simple, it is less expensive, and it doesn’t take up acres of land that can be put to better uses. I often feel sentimental when I watch a movie where the relatives take the urn of ashes and take it to their loved one’s favorite place to scatter their ashes in their sacred space.
We have two resources for you to explore for cremation services. We have not used them ourselves, but they do come highly recommended and they seem to be fully competent.
