Two Points to Consider When Breaking a Fast!

There are two primary points to follow when you are breaking a Fast.

!.  Break the Fast very gradually.  Even if your Fast lasts only 25 hours, it is important to begin to reintroduce water and food slowly in smaller amounts.

Brown Rice is an especially good food to eat when breaking your Fast.  Sprinkle the brown rice with Gomasio to make it palatable and enjoyable with a little splash of tamari and toasted sesame oil.

2.  Drink plenty of pure water following your Fast.  Your body is given a sign that it is time to purify and detoxify the body during and after a Fast.  The body uses more water to accommodate efficient fluid metabolism during this cleansing process.

After several hours of drinking sips (not guzzling) pure water, introduce fresh juices.  First a vegetable juice if you are eating brown rice.  If no rice is consumed, then drink fresh fruit juice.  Apple, orange, lemon, and lime juice is ideal for this application.
