Coffee, Tea, or Me: Drink Organic and Inhale Information
It’s not every Memorial Day Weekend that we get to take it easy, sit back, and enjoy the quiet of staying home and spending the day online to share ideas about a healthy Lifestyle. Here we are, sitting in front of the computer.
My webmaster likes his tea, especially Chamomile Tea…organic and comforting! He never really tried coffee in his youth, so as he ages he is learning to enjoy the subtleties of fine herbal teas. He drinks Green Tea when he is working on the Fire Department computers at the Station, he drinks organic Peppermint Tea when he goes out to eat at a natural foods restaurant, and he sips his Chamomile Tea while working with me on Free Health Ideas. He says, “Tea is terrific and tremendous…better than soda pop!”
As for me, here I am with my organic free trade shade grown Coffee in my hot little hand. I have to put down the cup to type this right now, but as I pause between thoughts and paragraphs, I pick up my favorite bean and take a long sip of delicious hazel brown beverage…the drink of the Gods!
My mother used to have to put so much ‘stuff’ in her coffee just to be able to tolerate it in the good old days that I could never get used to the sweetness and the cream. There was barely any coffee flavor in her cup of coffee. But then in those days, there was a shortage of good beans and roasters, making it virtually impossible to experience a decent cup of coffee. She loved to put two-thirds of the cup full of cream or half-n-half, then added a lot of sugar – usually four cubes – and then she would top of the cup with a tiny bit of coffee. It was way too sweet and creamy for me! But then it was even worse when black… LOL
Those were the days of Folgers and Farmers Brothers in the restaurants. There were no roasters in the entire state and most of the coffee was stale. There was no other choice, because people just didn’t demand a better brew from better beans at that time in the 1950s. Gone are those days!
I remember opening my own Natural Foods Restaurant and having to tell the salesman for Farmers Brothers that his coffee was simply ‘not good enough’ to be served in my establishment. We did offer Pero and Cafix which seemed to satisfy 99% of our wonderful customers who were rather amazed that we didn’t have the traditional coffee machine with the glass pot that waitresses would carry around and give refills in other cafes. No…not here in my place! We had decided only to serve the finest natural foods and beverages and we were the ‘talk of the town’. Some ranchers would come in and tell me that they had to see how the other half lived…without ham in one’s split pea soup. He became a regular!
We did have an organic coffee ice cream made for us by a local vendor who had to special order the ingredients for all our ice creams from California. It cost a fortune, but people didn’t really seem to mind paying more for a higher quality of food and flavor.
The same high standards apply to our Blog today. We offer the best organic products that we can find that are made available online from reputable and trustworthy suppliers. These companies are not only established within their local communities, but they go the extra mile to service new customers from online exposure to their marketplace niches. Many of the great things we share with you are not found in our little town, so we are pleased to be able to get these goodies ourselves and extend that ability to you through this Blog.
For instance, we can direct you to suppliers of some of the finest herbal and Green Teas that are imported from Asia. You won’t find these in the average store or restaurant in America. Perhaps if you live in a thriving large metropolis, you might be able to locate them, but how fresh are they?
You’ve never truly lived until you experience some of these teas, coffees, and other delights that are going to give you the level of health and wellness along with the pleasure that comes from enjoying the best of the best. It’s a rare experience for most people! You deserve it, especially when it is now so much easier to find, order, and prepare them in your home or office. It is worth our time to sort through the thousands of companies and select the very best to share with you. We feel good about doing this…it’s an important service that we can provide to you.
I remember the first time my webmaster and I went to one of the regional Italian restaurants for dinner. It was authentic. He had NEVER had real balsamic vinegar and real olive oil to dip with his artisan bread before. He wondered how he could have lived half his life without having been exposed to this wonderful combination and taste sensation. Now he has his organic balsamic vinegar and organic olive oil at home to enjoy whenever he wishes…
For me, I like a cup of excellent coffee and then later in the day, I move into the herbal tea area of my pantry. Over the long weekends, I get to take my time and often I choose a more exotic tea like Chrysanthemum or Fenugreek Seed Tea which take more care when brewing for the perfect cup.
If you want to improve your vision, then drink Chrysanthemum Tea and take your pearl powder. If you want to cleanse the lymphatic system, drink your Fenugreek Seed Tea and you’ll breathe easily without congestion. If you have a sour stomach or you just ate a ton of food, drink your Peppermint Tea. If you just want to strengthen your blood and immunity, then go get some Green Tea or White Tea and add a little fresh lemon juice along with some blue agave nectar to add a hint of sweetness.
You do realize that I am finished with my Kona Coffee by now…it was delicious! I want to let you know that you have until tomorrow to purchase your own organic Koa Coffee online and get a special deal just for Memorial Day Weekend. You’ll be in seventh heaven when it comes in the mail and you make your first cup…and on until you finish your next hundred cups – you’ll be smiling while you think of how good a cup of coffee can truly be…
