Dr. Oz and What’s the Point?

Dr. Oz could use some training for Point Location of the Acupuncture Points he is showing his audience on today’s show.

LI4 or more commonly in my circles known as He Gu will smooth the flow of Chi in the meridians, but you have to actually be ON the POINT for it to work!

You don’t pinch that point, since it is not in the fleshy area…it is closer to the bone and if you want to avail yourselves of the value of using this very important point to regulate the smooth movement of Chi or energy in your body and bio-energetic field; then you need to be able to accurately find it.

Don’t use this point if you know or even think that you might be pregnant, unless you want to help your body induce labor. You can experience some relief from a toothache in your lower jaw when you use this point. It is used for many purposes too clinical to get into here, but for the face and head and some types of pain, it is one of the most common choices. It has many more uses, but I am not in favor of using it as a ‘de-stressor’ as Dr. Oz suggests on his Tip of the Day and at the end of his show.

You’ll get more out of a cup of Chamomile Tea, the RestRelief Holographic Chip, or a drop of Lavender Essential Oil, or some Pearl Powder to reduce stress.

You can always use Auricular Therapy to address general stress. You can learn to massage your earlobes and you’ll feel the difference within minutes. It pays to learn a few key Acupuncture Points for supporting your body. Go visit your local Acupuncturist and ask for some assistance in Point Location!
