TheDoctorsTV and the Sides of the Fence on Important Health Issues

Today was one of those days that you realize just how human and fallible doctors and others who give advice can be when they appear on TV…

This episode was about controversial topics and which side of the fence each doctor happened to be on for any given subject that they discussed. It led to a wide range of differing opinions and that points out what you will find when you seek out any physician. Not all doctors share the same opinion, knowledge, or approach to health with their peers or their colleagues!

TheDoctorsTV and Which Side Are You On?

I only want to comment on a couple of issues that were brought up today. But remember, you have to always take full responsibility to make these decisions for yourselves, not because any one else has any particular stance on a subject.

Let’s talk about soda pop.

The doctors and Jillian were against giving soda pop to younger children. Dr. Jim and Dr. Travis insisted that there are too many healthy juices from fresh fruit that children will enjoy, so there is no reason to let them have soda pop.

Doctors often think that some soda isn’t going to hurt a child, but let’s recall that childhood obesity, diabetes, cancer, incidences of sickness, and general malaise is increasing among this age group and processed foods and beverages are to blame. Even an occasional Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, or caffeinated drink does some damage to the human body.

My children were never ‘assaulted’ with processed artificial beverages or fizzy drinks in their youth. I would NEVER do that to those I love! There are healthy drinks that fizz and there are fresh organic juices that satisfy a child and adults alike. It’s foolish to waste your money or your body’s vitality by drinking an artificially-flavored, artificially-sweetened beverage.

The sad thing is that the doctors on TV did not seem to know that healthy alternatives and substitutes exist and are deliciously tasty! Do they shop? Have any of these doctors stepped into a Whole Foods Market or a Food Coop? They must lead a sheltered life…

Reed’s Ginger Brew, China Cola, and many other fizzy drinks that are healthy are excellent choices for children and adults. There are more choices in Whole Foods Markets than ever before, but first you have to shop at the right store to find them.

OK…now what about doctors refusing to treat patients who have not gotten their vaccinations? If it were asked of me, I would say to find a different, more intelligent doctor who understands the risks of immunizations and the benefits of using natural methods to strengthen the Immune System.

The doctors had differing points of view on this, but in the end, it was their basic code to treat patients to the best of their ability that carried the discussion. It is feasible that they could advise their patients to seek a home visit when a child who has not been vaccinated has a cold, the flue, or some communicable disease. Most astute parents who refuse to vaccinate their children know better than to expose anyone to someone who is sick. They also rarely get sick, because they wisely strengthen their Immune Systems and don’t contract diseases.

Chinese Herbs Direct

You’ll find a wide assortment of herbal formulations that will support and strengthen your Immune System. It’s important to check on some of them to ensure that they are suitable for younger children. Look for products that nourish Wei Chi.

I am not even going to go where the sun does not shine on procedures for female genitalia. Enough is enough…

The doctors kept talking about fences and sides with cigarette labeling and selling organs for transplant. I have to say that is when I lost interest in this hour.

Sometimes you just want to change the channel and watch someone cook some healthy food like Emeril or Martha Stewart, instead of listening to doctors who are climbing the fence for this or that… I finally succumbed and changed the channel for my own sanity!
