The SuperBowl and Healthy Snacks, Bizarre Commercials, and Crazy Entertainment
OK…we’re off to a great Superbowl today! The 45th Bowl should be one to remember and one to motivate you to eat healthy snacks while watching the game on TV.
The best introduction ever: Glee Gal, Lea Michele, singing “America, the Beautiful” with the voice that rivals the graceful flight of those Blue Angels. I much prefer this song to the national anthem and I wish that Lea would be asked to sing the songs that open these sporting events in the future. She knows how to sing to a stadium and a camera…excellent job which filled me with glee.
I think that Christina Aguilera missed a phrase around ‘ramparts’ during her rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner”, but she has a voice that filled the stadium. Although she can belt out those runs, she overdid it on the last note until she finally arrived at the finale. We saw the fly-by even if the stadium had no view.
Go Ava! Good for you and your dreams…
I think that the producers scored a dozen points by bringing The Black-Eyed Peas to the stage today! It IS a GOOD NIGHT…with better music and entertainment this year. Did you catch that flashing bodice and the wild tophat? Snazzy and fun… The blue lights filled the entire arena and impressed me more than most half-time shows in memory! I feel the LOVE…
If you are one of the unfortunate players injured during this all-important game; then you need to begin to use the CieAura Holographic Chips to strengthen your body and your ability to stay healthy while engaging in any rough sporting activity.

I am enchanted by Superbowl Commercials. I must say that I might be more of a traditional viewer with my preference for horse-drawn carriages, brewskies, and spotted pups or the Rocky Mountains as the horses’ field for a friendly game of football. However, I rather like the Dragon and the Darth.
I might have laughed when they had the guy trying to cram in stuff in the car, but I was too busy thinking about what to tell you about cramming in bad snacks and unhealthy foods to notice much. I am inclined to thank all of the advertisers for providing me with lasting entertainment for silly commercials over the years. They sparrow no expense…
If you are still wondering why you feel crappy after you indulge in processed snacks and delivery pizza during the game; then learn to make a move down the field with healthy snacks for your next Superbowl.
Consider making your own wraps with organic turkey, spinach, pesto, cilantro, and mustard. Smash your own avocado, garlic cloves, lemon juice, and onion with some tomato, parsley, olive oil, and cumin with teff tortillas.
I know that many of you have been porking out on wings and dogs today. No wonder your stomach aches! Drink some organic Peppermint Tea and a few bottles of China Cola to aid your digestion. It will turn into a touchdown and you won’t suffer too long.
Instead of buffalo wings, make some organic chicken strips on a kabob with generous chunks of onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, and bacon with basil sandwiched between all the natural goodies. Dip your chicks in a sauce made with tamari, grated ginger root, honey, garlic, cayenne, toasted sesame oil, and scallions. You can make a dip of BBQ sauce, too, to make you feel like you can get more chews to the bite than those bony wings will ever give you.
One of my long-time healthy favorites is Spinach-Artichoke Dip with organic Veggies. If you want to augment your veggies with whole grain crackers; then dip with more crunch. There’s nothing stopping you from smothering an organic brown rice bowl with this tasty dip! Black beans and actually any bean will make you a great spreadable or dippable and delicious mixture for your crackers, garlic bread, or veggies. If you prefer fruit, then make a sweet dip with pineapple, coconut, white grape juice, honey, and berries blended into a smooth dip for slices of apples, banana, strawberries, and other fruits that are bite-sized, then add a little chocolate for good measure.
Replace those high fat potato chips and tortilla chips with fried sweet potato sticks or zucchini sticks made with plenty of garlic in healthy oils. Sprinkle them while they are hot with sea salt, parmesan, and chopped parsley to make them extra special. You can buy some healthy chips, but be sure to soften the blow from too much salt with a blend of vegetables and whole grain snacks that supply you with enough minerals to metabolize all the sodium.
If you would prefer twice-baked potatoes to chips and sticks, then fill the hollowed-out potato with organic ingredients that are well-seasoned and spicy! We love our curries, our cumin and cayenne, our roasted garlic cloves, and our crop of sauteed veggies mixed into either the guts of the white potato or the sweet potato. Drizzle with the soy cream that is healthier than sour cream and sprinkle some gomasio along with chopped cilantro and thyme on top.
We like our bowls of chili and stew, but follow that heavy stuff with mochi and coconut yogurt. If you have to have pizza; then get the Kashi Pizza that has healthier toppings and crust or make your own. We like to go to the watering hole with Almond Amasake and Brain Toniq. Then as the winner of the Superbowl is announced, we talk about the highlights of the big game while slugging down our organic brownies, apricot pudding thickened with kudzu root powder, and a bowl of organic berries garnished by maple syrup glazed pecans.
The healthy snacks just might be the best part of the entire afternoon! Plus you will feel better later this evening and more importantly…tomorrow! You might never have to read my post about how to quell an upset stomach, but just in case – keep your Peppermint Tea and EOs handy.
OK…I am making plans already to see the Movies that were advertised during the breaks in the game. Flashy, big scenes, visually stunning sets, major action…almost as good as the commercials with the babies talking about their investment strategies. All in all, it was a good entertaining couple of hours and with some of healthy snacks; we will tell stories about today for some time to come after PACKing it in!
